Still works great! i removed the cd drive installed a SSD, currently dual booted with macOS and Windows, both OS’s are pretty smooth
How the hell you write best for this Laptop. This is one of the worst laptop I used so far. I7 processor is just in paper no performance at all.

Your pointing out of the hidden screw was really helpful, I don't understand why these casings of electronic devices are designed to be so difficult to open.

It's battery sucks
It has the worst hinge period. The portion of the plastic where the hinge articulates broke and we'll I had to epoxy it in. It also has ungodly amount of body flex. As specs are concerned it was good for the time. Screen was bad only 1366x768 but on low settings u get 60 fps all day. Thermals are fine. If u upgrade to an SSD and remove all the shitty hp bloatware you will have good boot times. But After a while it started making hissing noises when charging under load and would cause screen flickering. If I remove and replug the charger it would subside. The build quality is borderline. Overall it was a good laptop. P.s the trackpad suuuuuuckkkks
