If HP lowers the cost of the upgrades and improves the keyboard, this would be a very compelling gaming laptop. Also, does anyone know if you can just yoink a 230W charger from a different laptop and use it with this? It looks like a standard barrel plug, but I don't have any other chargers on me at the moment. That could be a solution for anyone looking for more than 10 hours of full system load at a time.
Am I the only one that thinks HP is getting cheaper with the HP Omen just look at that 2018 HP OMEN X then look at the 2019 HP OMEN. And now look at this ulgy cheap plastic 2020 HP Omen this new design is terrible after my 2019 HP Omen becomes out dated I'm gonna switch to Alienware.

Starting at $900, this is one of the best gaming laptops this year. HP finally makes an all round awesome gaming laptop.
I have issues after updating to windows 20h2, this problem wasn't there before i update the windows. My left side usb port is not powering & not detecting my mouse everytime i turn on and after the laptop sleeps. I can't wake up my Omen with my mouse so i need to pull out and plug it in again everytime the laptop sleeps or after i turn on the laptop. But it works fine with the other 2 usb ports on the right side

Screen gap is to keep the keyboard off the screen. Look at how high the keys are. The only thing saving it is the raised palm wrest. Hp just flipped it where the keyboard is not recessed. Plus you find this model for less than 1300 used now so

First gaming pc I ever bought it has been so far a good laptop plays all my games fast and on high settings no lags nothing the only problem I had with mine was the temps would hit 80s or even 90s degrees but I under voltaged it and know the temps are like 60 or 70s alot better then it was
For those hesistant on this laptop ive had it for over a year now, for sure get rid of mcafee its an overall great laptop if your biggest worry is the cpu temp I lowered the laptops use to comfort in the omen command center (pre installed on the laptop) and even with the laptop in comfort at all times i see extremely nice frames and would recommend this laptop to anyone for this price its great just keep in mind the average build quality p.s. i have ran this laptop with a monitor and the highest temps i reached playing a game on comfort mode was 90 for the cpu.
Would this particular model be able to be upgraded to the new 3000 series graphics cards without needing to replace any other components like the motherboard? I’m wanting to get the new 3060 once it’s released and upgrade my laptop. Mine currently has the rtx 2060.
