If HP lowers the cost of the upgrades and improves the keyboard, this would be a very compelling gaming laptop. Also, does anyone know if you can just yoink a 230W charger from a different laptop and use it with this? It looks like a standard barrel plug, but I don't have any other chargers on me at the moment. That could be a solution for anyone looking for more than 10 hours of full system load at a time.

I have an Omen Ryzen 4800h with rtx2060 with 60hz monitor, but in 2 other reviews, they are categorized with 66% sRGB and another with 59% sRGB with 200 nits. I found your results exceptional! I would like to know more about the reason for this fluctuation.

Am I the only one that thinks HP is getting cheaper with the HP Omen just look at that 2018 HP OMEN X then look at the 2019 HP OMEN. And now look at this ulgy cheap plastic 2020 HP Omen this new design is terrible after my 2019 HP Omen becomes out dated I'm gonna switch to Alienware.

You can disable Turbo Boost or set a max cpu frequency to reduce temperatures and fan noise.
If only it doesn't have stupid placement power button, I would have chosen this instead of zephyrus.

I don't understand where you can find a version of this laptop with the 4k screen you show in the video. it would be the perfect choice for me (4k at 120hz) bcs of that color accuracy you show, but then in the shop when showing the different display options, there s no 4k option. Only different degrees of refresh rates (and in other reviews of the same laptop mounting a non-4k display, the color accuracy is WAY lower) Still looking for that perfect mix of strong color accuracy + power , to both game and work.

I have issues after updating to windows 20h2, this problem wasn't there before i update the windows. My left side usb port is not powering & not detecting my mouse everytime i turn on and after the laptop sleeps. I can't wake up my Omen with my mouse so i need to pull out and plug it in again everytime the laptop sleeps or after i turn on the laptop. But it works fine with the other 2 usb ports on the right side

I have this laptop and am very pleased with the performance. The only thing I didn't like is the 256G of memory. I added a second 500G SSD so I can have a few more games. Mine also has the 9th gen processor.

it's not worth it it overheats to 98c GPU and 97c CPU that means fps drops in games and A hot processor can slow down a computer and make it operate less effectively and laptops can be severely damaged by overheating i don't recommend it . .

Everything about this laptop is good except for the screen color. It's completely oversaturated and I clearly do not recommend this product because of this. Everything feels so weird with those colors, it's a real shame. I tried to fix it in many different programs, the color is simply shit (although it says 100%srgb). Don't buy it.

For those of you who are still looking for an omen. Walmart (online) is selling this 2018 version for around $1000 with improved specs (i7 9th gen + 1660ti). I got the Walmart version and definitely recommend it
