It's promising to see this newer version. I bought a last gen version of this last xmas and it ran REALLY hot. That wasn't a problem in itself, but after 9 months it died. I can't fault HP customer service as they dealt with it quickly and gave me a full refund.

If HP lowers the cost of the upgrades and improves the keyboard, this would be a very compelling gaming laptop. Also, does anyone know if you can just yoink a 230W charger from a different laptop and use it with this? It looks like a standard barrel plug, but I don't have any other chargers on me at the moment. That could be a solution for anyone looking for more than 10 hours of full system load at a time.

I recently just undervolted my rtx2060 omen i7- 10750h laptop via omen gaming hub and ever since I under volted it the temps are low but the CPU reads -2.6ghz in the gaming hub, voltage around .96 - 1.26, and temps around 35c - 60c. Is this normal I'm mostly concerned about the clock speed if anything. Before I did the under volt I remember the clock speed to be around 4.5ghz in the gaming hub command center. Please help, this my first premium gaming laptop and it was very expensive lol. Also hp said since I've done the undervolt it automatically voids the warranty which is weird to me considering that they have that option to do so readily accessible

I'm looking at the laptop, but I'm confused because of the models and prices. On the HP US store, there is an intel option with i7-10750h, RTX 2060, 32GB of Intel Optane 16 GB of ram and 512 GB of ssd, for $1200. Then there are two AMD versions. The first one has Ryzen 4800h, 1660 Ti, 16GB of RAM and 512 GB of ssd, for $1250. The second one also has Ryzen 4800h, it has RTX 2060, RGB, but it has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of ssd, for $1100. Which should I go for? The intel model I mentioned was the 15-ek0026nr, the first AMD model is the 15-en0029nr, the second AMD model is 15-en0036nr

I have this laptop and am very pleased with the performance. The only thing I didn't like is the 256G of memory. I added a second 500G SSD so I can have a few more games. Mine also has the 9th gen processor.

it's not worth it it overheats to 98c GPU and 97c CPU that means fps drops in games and A hot processor can slow down a computer and make it operate less effectively and laptops can be severely damaged by overheating i don't recommend it . .

Everything about this laptop is good except for the screen color. It's completely oversaturated and I clearly do not recommend this product because of this. Everything feels so weird with those colors, it's a real shame. I tried to fix it in many different programs, the color is simply shit (although it says 100%srgb). Don't buy it.

For those of you who are still looking for an omen. Walmart (online) is selling this 2018 version for around $1000 with improved specs (i7 9th gen + 1660ti). I got the Walmart version and definitely recommend it

Probally a bit late to the party but I bought this laptop and could not be happier. I first bought a more expansive MSI laptop with a RTX 2060 and i7. But the thing would get so hot. 95° CPU at 10 minutes of playing. I undervolted it and used a cooling pad but it didn't really make an aprovement. It does not give a peace of mind playing at those tempratures. I returned it and bought this one. Thermals are WAY better. My CPU reaches max 60° and GPU 70°. I have to tweak some settings and can not play everything maxed out what I don't really mind because I'm more a casual gamer. Definitly recommend for a mid tier gaming laptop!

This is my go to laptop, i have the 9th gen i7 and 1070maxQ8GB 32GBDDR4 144hrz, It runs everything I've thrown at it so far, but i dont get top tier FPS on ultra settings, but it works great I have it with every where, and it takes the abuse really great I got a great deal on it, bought in 2019 as a demo model, so absolutely worth it

I am shocked at how fast this laptop starts up and shuts down ?Х Under 10 seconds for each! I'm not a fan of touch screens so probably won't use it. I work with HUGE spreadsheets and this laptop works well with the 16gb of ram. The cooling fan is pretty loud but it doesn't bother me. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend this laptop for personal use. I don't think it is rugged enough for business use where you are moving it alot. I don't think the exterior would hold up to much abuse.
