I have this drive as my boot drive and full of games it’s fast AF! If you go into bios make sure you turn it from 2x speed to 4x speed depending on your motherboard
Did you have to change any bios settings after installing this?
I bought the ex950 512gb for my asus rog Strix laptop. For some reason I am not getting full advertised speeds, average 2735 and 1960. Supposed to be 3500 and 2000. Still is nice, but no support from HP sucks. I found the place to DL drivers. But has 3 files and no idea how to install, if even makes difference.
How do you monitor the temperatures? I'm using HWinfo and it stays locked at 54C which I think is a bug..
I thought SSD and nvme was two totally different drives though?
have you found any info on firmware or drivers support/updates for the drive. i have it as well. and i am considering getting another to run a raid setup. but at least with my 970 evo raid setup, windows/samsung can no longer detect the drives since it sees them as a single drive now (whatever the signiture is, is changed so samsung software doesnt recognize them). my 970 evo raid was done using the Asus bios. another raid i have using 850 evos (raid created in windows), allows drives to still be seen by samsung software. i know the hp drive has 1 issue regarding how it runs backgrounds activities after a heavy load (even if the drive is still in use). i want to be able to make sure i can update the drives before i raid them since it would be VERY difficult and time consuming to do so afterwards. i did read one amazon review that said using the driver for the intel 760p improves performance, but i cant figure out how to install it. i also found out the adata sx8200 also uses the same flash and controller as the hp. so i assume using that driver would work as well. but same problem of finding and installing it.
