hello, i am trying to find the right laptop for a long time.. no gaming, no video editing, no autocad or render work.. i will only use laptop for financial trading stock programs that need high CPU, SSD and ram. and laptop will be used from 09:00 am to 11 pm // all day nearly of course not will battery, always plugded in. . can you advice this model for me ? heating /cooling issued and stable performance? i do not want to buy a gaming laptop. thank you.

Awesome review, vut I can promise to you, that today I have sent dell xps15 2020 back because a weak chasis construction in the area around the trakpad, in such a way that the trakpad was activated because of the deformation of the chasis around it. Also the right down quarter of the trackpad presented the weak vibration just without click push on it. It is a shame what Dell is doing, selling a product as premium when it is not

HP envy 13 Labtop the worst computer I have ever bought in my life. 3 major failures within 3 years!!
Recently got mine, 4k, 32GB, 1TB, RTX 2060 for $1150 openbox and I love it. I like how in performance mode the PL1 limit is 80watts and turbos 4+Ghz constant turbo all cores.
Is this a touch and x360?
If i connect some external monitor/s via hdmi or usb-c it takes the gpu from the intel processor or is the RTX 2060 used? Is it configurable?Ive searched but found actually no conrete informations.
I've been HP envy user for two years. That was the worst laptop I've ever had. It stopped working recently. Repair cost is $500 due to motherboard short circuit. It haven't been used that much actually, two years of really light using. My friend has the same issue with his HP laptop. If you are buying HP, you are paying money for frustration.

Thanx for the review. I ultimately had to return this notebook because of the fans. They were spinning up way too soon and strongly even for some light web browsing. Ive found other people on Reddit with similar issues. The BIOS settings and HP Command software is pretty useless to control this issue. Surprising you didnt encounter those problems. Such a shame because I really liked pretty much everything else about this machine. Not much in this price range to compete with it.
I have problems with my Hp Envy I just arrived today and when I set up the window ready and the fan run nonstop I didn't know why it run so loud when ever I turn on the laptop? I try to download the Bios and Install it but it didn't work did anyone know how to fix it ?

3:15 Is the keyboard, esp the left Ctrl and the arrow key button, feel wobble/loose and make cracking noise, when pressing on the edge of the key cap, please? My current laptop have this issue and it drives me nuts. And in the video, you press around the edge of the keycap and said 'it fairly crisp', is it a good or bad feeling? (English is my second language, so I don't understand) Can you please elaborate more on this point? I cant get hand on to test this laptop myself due to the lack of availability at the store front.

In various german descriptions it says that there should be a numpad integrated on the keyboard. But there is none. Is it maybe hidden on the touchpad? If so, how do i get access to it?

Why would HP use an Intel SSD/Optane combo? A real 4 PCI lane nVME card would never need an Optane. I'm suspecting the Intel SSD is a rather slow (cheap) model and needs the crutch. Correct me if I'm wrong here. Are the M.2 slots nVME or SATA

Bought my envy 13 laptop 3 months ago and my keyboard is already damaged for some reason. Good product but not durable. Never had this issue with previous Lenovo products and had used laptops for more than 5+ years. The warranty is also not covered globally... safe to say I will never use hp again, never letting my family use hp products, and will be only be using apple products from now on! On the flip side, the support team was really polite, but couldn't help me solve the issu

I have this Hp. It was great but 1.5 years and the fan went out and it is constantly having problems with keeping it cool when in use.
For "ultrabooks" i only look at 2 laptops Asus Zenbook Pro non-duo, and ENVY. Both have good OLED screens, that are vibrant, have a dedicated gpu, and an 'ok' keyboard. The ENVY's problem is it does not come in black with these specs. Getting White on White is awful. It really is in person its like i cant see anything where are the keys what am i typing on. The spectre is "Ok" but the keyboard is not as good as Envy's, and the edge of the spectre is razor sharp where it pretty much can slice through your countertop or forearm or whatever it's a dangerous machine to move around so that's out. If HP offered the ENVY in black so you can see what you are doing...that's what HP needs to do. XPS is ok but the keyboard is worse than ENVYs and keyboards matter a ton so. XPS keyboard has too little travel compared to ENVY's.

Just got mine open box for about 1200, really love how performance mode sets the Pl1 limit to 80 watts and the cpu keeps drawing way more than 45 watts even in extensive runs. Hard to justify other higher prices.

Never buy this crap. My HP envy didn't last even two years, and I barely used it . Yes it just stopped working one day, and repair cost is $500 due to motherboard short circuit. Yes it needs new motherboard. I never buy HP anymore, and of course I am not investing money in repairing this shiney peace of junk.
I love OLED displays but with computers I do prefer LCD. The screen is on longer then phones and I tend to keep my laptops a lot longer then my phones. With that in mind LCD panels will last longer and I like the 4K panel on the Dell XPS 13 9310
