For anyone watching, Theres 3 different models of this chrome book.the white one anyway, there two more colors. Dark gray and navy blue. The 30nr ( tn screen, same chromebook in this review) the 50nr (ips screen, 1920×1080 pixels. Which wouldve solved this guys issue with the screen. All viewing angles are great) and the 70nr (same pixels as the 30nr 1366x768 but its also a ips display and has touch screen). So simply, get the 50nr for a full hd experience or get the 70nr for touch screen support. Avoid the 30nr.
I love my HP 14-db0044wm. I use this for my college work and watching movies. I don't have the screen discrepancies your speaking on, and using it for hours has had no negative effect on my eyes, and the contrast is no where near as bad as the one you were using. Is there a major change in the one your showing and my model?

I have my hp chromebook 14 g1 and still use daily in really hardcore conditions. This are really reliable machines. I have bought the g2 to my mother, g3 to my father in law and a G4 to my girlfriend. Really great in terms of durability and battery life.

i bought mine for less than $200 on sale at amazon. i just needed it for doing emails and estimates for work. My screen is not like the one in this video at all. maybe they updated the screen? i bought over the summer 2020. its got none of the weird issues you show and describe. the screen is crisp and clear at all angles. no complaints.

YES, Chromebooks are CHEAPER than Windows laptops but there's a good reason WHY. I quickly realized after I bought my HP Chromebook that it just isn't as VERSATILE in USE as a Windows laptop would be. For example, I can't use my external optical drive with my HP Chromebook, which SADDENS me. This Chromebook is GOOD for doin' ONLY VERY BASIC computing needs(surfing the Internet, checking & sending e-mail, interacting on social media). But it just can't do any COMPLEX stuff(gaming, photoshop, attaching external storage devices). Though I like my HP Chromebook, I really MISS the VERSATILITY of my ol' Windows 10 laptop! That's why I'm gonna eventually BUY myself another HP Windows laptop. I want a HP model because my printer is a HP. After I buy myself a HP Windows laptop, it will be my PRIMARY laptop and this Chromebook with be my SECONDARY laptop. Yeah, that's my PLAN!

all the comments about replacing the stock components with upgrades clearly do not understand the comparison. the chromebook maybe faster because it has better components but it is also CHEAPER, meaning better value.
Bruh. It ain't a fair comparison. Thw Windows has a spinning drive, while the Chromebook has a flash drive. Put in a SATA SSD, and see the speed difference. I also had an HDD on my low end laptop. Just switch to an SSD, and it flies on Basic tasks (PDF, Browsing, video, etc.) Even starting Premire Pro is lightning fast compared to it's Factory HDD.

My windows only take under 1 minute to boot except when the computer shut down unexpectedly. It will take up to 5 minutes. 4gb ram. (I'm using chrome os too so I'm not say windows better)
In my experience, judging over whether or not to buy a Windows 10 laptop or a Chromebook, that depends of exactly what you use your laptops for. I need a laptop that will enable me to save my documents onto to external storage devices(data discs, memory cards, USB drives), which this Chromebook of mine does NOT! With Chromebooks, it'll only allow you to save your writings 'in the cloud', which is ONLY PARTLY FINE for me. I want a laptop with PLENTY of CONNECTOR PORTS that would allow me to use external storage devices, which a Windows 10 certainly would. I think that use of Chromebooks is just MUCH MORE LIMITED than using a Windows 10 laptop. A Windows laptop gives you more VERSATILITY than a Chromebook. That's WHY even though I use my HP Chromebook, I still plan to buy myself a HP Windows 10 laptop. My Windows 10 laptop will be my PRIMARY laptop while this Chromebook will become my SECONDARY laptop. HAPPY HOLIDAYS everybody!!

I think you linked the wrong computer in the video description bro. The one in your link is for an AMD version and the one you showed in the video has an Intel processor. I believe you are holding a 2020 version and the one in the link is a 2019 version. It gets confusing with Chromebook model numbers, especially for HP models, but simply searching for HP Chromebook 14 is not enough information to find the exact model.
