these filters are now, in the digital age purely for protection of the front element. modern sensors have filters built in these days.
I've been against filters for years - two more air-to-glass layers not usually a good idea - you and Ken Rockwell have changed my mind. At least to try one. The U-P has now been trumped by the Hoya HD nano. 99.7% transmission.

Did you seriously just bang your fingernail on the front surface of your brand new filter, then put it on your probably scratched the MC. Also, showing comparison pictures with a line drawn down the middle tells us nothing about the difference since the information is different on both sides! (Focused, not focused, light objects in the background, dark objects in the background. No way to compare) . Would be better to show the same full image in a left and right comparison. Then we could compare the same elements with and without the finally, why aren't you talking? It would be nice if you gave some information about how you feel about this filter line, pros cons, build quality, your thoughts on the comparison etc.

I"m doing DSLR HD filming in a car. On sunny days, at 200 and even 100 ISO I'm experiencing real sunray glare. It's only bearable when I drive past trees and they cast a brief shadow. Would a Circular Polarising Filter neutralize that sunray glare? Great video.
