In roti maker, rotis are thick. Nobody likes it. Roti maker is good for roasting papadas making other things like tikkis n dosas n uttapas.

The students who go to foreign countries and have to cook themselves fall into such machine traps ..The reality is ...the machines are too much hassel to clean two three or more utensils. .Women now a day's use the kitchen platform directly it makes the platform so much messy with flour and it becomes an attraction spot for ants and other insects ... Because when in hurry people don't clean every nook and corner and hence the platform area becomes ants attraction area ...Using a belan chakla is more better than using the platform directly .. more over putting a butter paper or newspaper under chakla will also make it easy to clean the platform ..The cloth that is used to clean the flour must not be made of cotton instead it Should be made of synthetic fiber on which the flour residues don't stick much so that when you just wash that cloth under running water and use little bit of dishwasher liquid soap that cloth will be very easy to clean ... Spending money on kitchen towels is not economic for every household ..
Hands work more efficiently then machines. Hats off to moms.

Make the dough softer. Coat the dough balls in little flour before pressing. They wont slip off. Flip the roti as soon as you press. Then the roti will be soft. Been using one since the last 2 years.

I have bought roti maker13years ago after I get married to make my work easy in summers but I have used it only twice the very day I purchased itbut believe me it was utter waste of my moneyI make rotis much faster with my hand and the quality of roti was such that I too didnt want to eat it
