I'm looking at these. Since the CTS doesn't have a disc slot on the main unit. I was wondering where I was going to put my phone at.
The dash mount horizontal one is great if you add sticky velcro to it and to the dash but you have to get it in the right spot, it's literally the only one I've ever had work consistently.
do any of these get in the way of your vision while driving?
Any suction phone holder and the bosynoy worries me during the freezing winter. Don't think can hold during winter.
I once defended a guy who was pulled over because he had dice hanging from his mirror and another because he had a crack in the front glass, the window mount might be an actual vision obstruction as opposed to an excuse to pull you over without cause!
I had the clamshell one. I didn't like it because I have a Samsung phone and to access it you have to press a side button, and the clamshell does not allow that. Also after a week or two it kept sliding off the dashboard. Even after washing and drying the bottom repeatedly.

The suction one looked good but don't feel good about having my phone hanging from something not mechanically mounted. Did like the clamshell one but don't like that it can't be repositioned and don't like the idea of it causing a clamshell shaped spot on my dash from uneven uv wear. Think the cup holder might be the one for me. Would like to find one with a larger neck if possible. Thanks for all the work!

The rear view one I got was bucky and heavy so it keep tilting down ward.

Suction cups has never worked for me, ever.

Got mine for $5.00 at Menards. I do like how easy it is to slide the phone in and out but the first semi hard turn I made it flew out of the holder. The pads on the side don't go up far enough so your phone is top heavy which makes it prone to falling out. I think if you put the phone at an angle that may help. I was playing around with it when I got home and I haven't tried it like that while driving yet. I had a small gap between my stereo and a storage cubby so I didn't connect it to the vent but it seems to be holding. I've not had a lot of luck with the vent style holders but we shall see. I've only used it for about 30 minutes so far. I'm also a bit skeptical of the little rubber band holding up in extreme temps If the angle fixes the stability problem it just may be OK
