i love this tool as well to go alongside my bosch p22. i threw my case away though as i prefer this tool to be as portable as possible and the case sort of ruined that.
So this a right handed tool only since there is no trigger on the right side of the tool

I've had one of these Hitachi screw guns for about 10 years. It is one of the best power tools that I own (most of the rest being DeWalt). Both batteries still charge up and hold a charge for a very, very long time. There isn't anything about it that I don't like. Thanks for the great video!

Great review! I bought this screwdriver. I'm very pleased! But I noticed that it was manufactured 6 years ago. Do you think it matters performance wise. That it's been laying on the shelf for that long, not being used?
I've been looking for an electric screwdriver with a torque setting so I can use it for electronics, building PCs but also a bit more heavy stuff like screws into wood, and set the torque so it will slip at the appropriate time. This looks like it fits the bill. Thanks for the nice review.
Thanks for a very well done review that told me all I need to know, but for one concern: The best batteries fatigue over time (finite number of recharging cycles). So, if the two included batteries finally give up the ghost, but the tool itself seems intact, where do I get and what do I pay for replacements? I'm hoping you'll respond one of two ways: 1. Over YEARS of use you have observed no tendency for the original two batteries to fade into oblivion. 2. The battery assembly can be opened and a replacement battery inserted (I'm hoping that 3.6 volts implies the ubiquitous 18650 lithium ion battery).

Any idea why the clutch would engage in reverse when trying to remove a screw?
I bought one today and it's given nothing but fits! I finally got it driving screws, but it won't countersink them. I have it set to the proper length and finentuner set all the way down but they still fall deadhead. Any tips?
What size drill bit does it need?

I have the rigid rendition of this - it is the cats meow I have put down a lot of decks with it and drywall - definitely sucks in tight corners have to keep my 1/4 impact handy to finish off the corner screws
