They feel a bit cheap because they ARE quite inexpensive.
Just Bought these OMG the sound Quality is Outstanding.
Bearing in mind they're $12, they're incredible - period. I like to watch movies, play music etc on my pc and these little things sound like much larger headphones. Big sound that goes surprisingly deep and pleasantly pummels your eardrums. And it doesn't do this at the expense of mids or treble. Imo build quality is excellent for the price. If like me you take care of even cheap things, they'll last years. If pads wear out look for say 55mm earpads on Amz or Ebay - not perfect but they will fit and sound fine.Haven't found another headset this cheap that sounds as powerful. The Koss rival for this is the Portapros, which cost 3x as much.
These are so ridiculously good for the money. We have 3 pairs of them in our house.
I don't get any distortion.
After about 6 years of use they're starting to fall apart... But wow! Loved them!
I love these headphones, but I have to replace them every year because I'm kinda rough on them. I break them in the same way every single time. Every single time, they lose sound in one ear. I hold out on buying a new pair by taping the wire on the janky ear in a position that still gets sound. I've replaced these about 6 times now (spent about $65) and I think it's finally time I stop buying a new one of these every year and give at least a $30 pair a try.
I bet they sound better than any of the expensive buds.

I Had these. They were amazing. However, at the time I had a chewing problem. So I chewed the cable alot. They worked well for a while

I've been using these headphones now for a little over 5 years. These are the best headphones you can buy for less than 20 bucks.

They are surprisingly Great headphones for Mobiles,Tablets even decent on a Macbook but 10(or 15 in Pink?) on sale in Supermarkets is no good.Considering they sell Sennheiser 202s for 15 & bigger Jvc,s for 15.Shame really because I really Like mine & paid 6 over 2 years ago on a sale & bought a 2 pairs for the kids 10 for Pink for niece.I wish I bought a few more they had them in all Colours except Pink(10) for 6.They are better than the Bose version at 30.
These jvc flats really do sound the dogs bits ! Good bass and very nice respectable trebles from a pair of comfortable headphones costing just 5.00 on amazon YES just a fiver ! Ironic i know but the jvc flats really do sound sound very well indeed .
just got another set since I was so happy with my first set. You cannot get better headphones for the price. Lightweight, cheap and good sound....what's not to love?
I ordered these off of Amazon a few days ago, and I am very impressed with the sound of them. Good bass, and clear overall sound, and for $11 bucks, these can't be beat!

These are probably the most underrated headphones out there.One reason, I believe, is because people are putting them in the same category as Sony headphones in the same price range. Anyone with ears can hear how these blow the Sony equivalents out of the water. These are good enough to be your only headphones if you choose. One caveat: these are NOT for your home sound system. But they are the best out there for your phone, IPod, MP3 player or any other portable device.

Please don't run these down I've got a set and let's say thave got better sound quality than a set of senhizers I paid 150 four
I agree, these are just excellent. A bit flimsy in build, but so cheap you should jut buy two or three pairs and replace broken ones once or twice a year. I actually have re-soldered loose wire connections on several pairs of these as I like to repair things when possible, and also used superglue + duct tape to fix a broken head band on one set. They all still work fine and sound just great. Very comfortable in hot weather, especially if you remove the flimsy plastic film over the sponge padding (it starts coming off after a few months anyway) then your ears don't get sweaty at all. Last of all, you can fall asleep in these without hurting your ears too much, as they really are quite flat, as in the name and you can lie with one side of your head against a (soft) pillow. Recommended. Good review.

I agree, been buying these for years. They're not completely bullet proof but who cares. For portable players, they are the best- balanced sound, lots of highs, not overly bass heavy like so many consumer phones, which are completely out of whack bass wise. Lots of clarity. Just EQ to taste, and, if you sit on them, they'll fold sidewise, so, in many ways they are MORE durable than many. HOWEVER, I always replace the stock ear pads with plain 1/2" high density foam cut to shape, and this not only improves the sound but makes them WAY more comfortable.

These make music sound really good even when my computer speakers are only on 6%, any higher and I have to set the YouTube volume on low as they leak sound. I can hear a weird sound when there's nothing playing through them - a tiny wind storm (?!), has anyone else experienced this? Mine are black and were 7.99 from Sainsbury's

I have an equalizer setting on my galaxy when listening to music. They sound Nice!
Monoprice has the best $10 in ears and the Sennheiser hd 202 are one of the best for the $20 price tag
