Good thing the price went down. Its selling for $150 in some stores. $400 is not worth it. Seems like a good starting camera.

I had the GoPro hero 4 session for 5 years now and it has not broke. And if you put in just a little more effort the vids gets insane. And the reason why it just have 2 buttons is that it is meant for beginners.

3 years owning the session 4 and it's still a revolutionary piece of kit, purely because it's the only GoPro that is waterproof without a housing.
now you can get them refurbished for like 60
$500... currently on sale in Vietnam for $60

Sorry but I can’t fault this little cam! Another good build from GoPro 👍 oh and after all this is only the personal opinion of the loony who made the review, don’t listen to him, it’s all a personal preference and the only GoPro’s I have ever had issues with are the Hero3 models, GoPro seem to have rushed the build just to get the cams out there quicker, don’t get me wrong the Hero 3’s are still good cams, just a build quality issue! Hero4 session is an excellent little camera 👍
I love my session. I replaced the plastic housing with an aftermarket aluminum one and it's now pretty much bullet proof. Of course it doesn't have allot of the functions as the hero, BUT it's 1/4 the size. Works great for clipping onto hiking backpack for the trails. The only issue I have with it is the same as all gopros, their software SUCKS! Even more so with the session because In order to view live time what your looking at on the camera, you have to link it to the quick app which fails to open and connect about 50 percent of the time and it gets annoying really quick. But as far as the unit itself, I love it.

Good Job.  I always enjoy your reviews Ifti.  I can see a use for the Session for say off track racers who want several different angles in their vehicle, with a very small footprint and even if conditions were muddy, no problem.  I do wonder what happens if the cover on the lens get scratched?  It looks replaceable but a clear filter would be better that would fit the new square shape.  Also, can you start more than one of these from only one remote/phone or pad?  That would be helpful.

I would say the quality isn't as good as the Silver, especially in other reviews ive see (MKBHD) where they do side by side footage, it's very noticeable.  I love my Silver, been spot on for me.
The words simple and Go Pro should never be in the same sentence.
