I've got a Huawei p30 pro, the last Google edition. I've also got a Samsung S21 ultra, ive ended up giving the Samsung to my mother and have gone back to the p30 pro as it's just a much better phone. Usability, camera is better overall, how the phones just generally function the p30 really makes the S21 become annoying to use.
You are spot on mate regarding the SOT. You were unfairly criticised for it. I never got more than 4.5 hours sot with smooth display turned on. MIind you, I dont play games at all. Imagine playing games on it as well, sot will surely be 4 hours or below. The only way to get 6 hours SOT max. on pixel 6 pro (without gaming of course) is to turn off 5G and Smooth Display. Despite this I like it, nothing beats its camera especially when it comes to point and shoot photography on phones. I dont like iPhones at all mainly because of the complex nature of iOS and poor navigation gestures (navigation gestures on android are amazing, can even go back by swiping on the right side of screen).
You would think a google phone would be hot on google maps...no! And don't blame the reception, I'm in a hotspot.

Several concerns, extra memory slot, headphone jack and pen then the phone would be perfect.
I would get the 6 over the 6 Pro because I don't like the curved screen. I use that on my OnePlus 7 Pro and I'd rather go back to flat screen.

People bitch and moan about battery life all the time. I had a Pixel 4 before getting my Pixel 6 Pro and I remember people complaining constantly that their battery was dying. The reviews basically went as follows "I turned on the phone, called my mom, and the battery died." I'm not sure what these people were doing. Only once over the course of the 2.5 years I had this phone did the battery die on me before bed time. From 5AM to roughly 10PM every day the battery would last with roughly 20% left. Most days the phone would get a top off charge on my commute and every once in a while on my work bench. I used my phone consistently during the day as well for either music, taking pictures, sending messages, or making calls. Its was used throughout the day and the battery had no problem. Since then I take any complaints about battery life with heaping grains of salt.

This phone is garbage, disconnects from Android auto constantly, fingerprint works 50% of the time (even with all 5 programmed in), takes random screenshots, and the battery isn't great, and it gets really hot. I'm going back to the 5 and selling this POS.
I got rid of my Pixel 6 because of the almost impossible-to-use fingerprint sensor. I've had a Pixel 6a for a while and the fingerprint sensor is much better.

My google pixel 3 had really bad overheating issues that never resolved but instead got worse. I've heard people having the exact same problem with the 6 as if google still hasnt fixed it! Afraid to upgrade now.

Same experience here! Some bugs in the beginning, getting better along the way. Very very promising for sure. Slippery as hell :D I tried a few cases but they bulk it up a lot, so I resorted to a slim silicon one... At least, it is not as slippery any more! Totally happy with it for sure... I wish I could say the same for my carrier lol!

I hate it, i got google pixel 1 and i fell in love with it, so i thought google 6 pro omg it most be amazing , big mistake, i can honestly say is the worst phone i have ever had, so bad it made me love my old samsung phone ,so i said since i expend all this money in this trash I will use it to play music while i play, but no , this trash keeps stopping my music and it keeps tryint to snich , yes I HATE IT.
*Note to Google and their mediocre phones ! Pay and work with Sony to make the hardware ! incorporate Sony’s premium Xperia phone technology and brand them as Pixel and then market the hell out of them !

Don't be fooled people. This phone will not take photos significantly better that what is already on the market. To target people of color is ireprehensible! It's all about lighting! Their commercials are misleading. They post ONE back lite photo against a bunch of front and side lite images. If you front or side light your subject, you will do fine. With this "new" Google pixel 6 phone, if you back light a subject, it's going to look bad. Don't be fooled! I have been taking photos for 50+ years.... It's not what the camera can see, it's about what the camera will see. And camera, and the subject that is correctly lite, will give you a good image.

DO NOT BUY this phone... mediocre at best with so many issues which shouldn't be the case at this price point with this brand. Random restart, phone heats up on video calls, automatically switches on Bluetooth and do not disturb...I could go on... Just DO NOT BUY. Save yourselves the grief
