My dad bought me this guitar back in 2008, I had no distortion pedal back then so I used to crank up the amp's volume knob till it gave the natural overdrive sounds (because of the messed up speaker due to volume). I gotta say this is a very good guitar to have and can play anything. I even dropped mine from a 5 feet height as I forgot to zip my gig bag, it came down with a bang on the floor but seriously no damage at all even then, no intonation issues. nothing. Back in the day, it cost me INR 4,500 (55 USD). Today I'm playing a PRS SE Custom 24 but I have such good memories with this one, gigged so much with this.

whoo hoo. a givson. back in the day (late 90s) this was a premier guitar company .for 4000 Rupees we also used to get a hardcase with it.
I don't know much about the technicalities of an electric guitar, but I've surely heard from most of the legendary players that a great guitarist can make a bad guitar sound divine. Work on your techniques more than worrying about the gears. !

Could you take look at the various Electric Guitar offerings from Vault ( brand of Bajaao ), specially the rg1rw ! They seem to offer a much better value than the older Indian brands .
some time ago I thought I saw surprisingly cheap Fender guitar. but look up close it says "Fendar". then there's a Givson.

Thtz terribly insane a well known guitar brand producing such guitars with so many asthetic issues is highly unacceptable. Can get really gud guitars at this price point also.

I understand the history of Givson of how they were in India when other brands weren't available. But I would love to see them upgrade their quality control and build quality. Else they would fade out soon.
