This monitor is only $260 right now on newegg in the US for those that are looking for something cheap. I have an FI27P-Q and my 2nd monitor is having issues, and I'm looking for something cheaper that i can consider buying 2 of, as I have space for it with some tweaks to where my current monitor mounts are anchored. I want to move all my monitors to 75hz freesync at a minimum, and with the sale price it's hard to resist picking them up right now lol. This review was definitely a great help in determining what I want to do if i do decide to buy now (pending me sleeping on it). none of the ghosting issues are relevant to me as it would be a peripheral view monitor anyway, I'll still be aiming with the FI27P-Q ultimately
Their F06 firmware update just bricked my two month old monitor. The OSD software said Finished!.. and the monitor never came back on, not even the power LED light comes on. It’s totally dead. Can’t believe it. I don’t recommend Gigabyte monitors anymore.

Just bought one of these for about $279.99. Finally making the jump from 1080P to 1440 after years of delaying it. I thought about going with a higher refresh rate like 165 or even 240 but I'm not on a 30 series GPU yet, still running a 2070 Super these days and most of the games I play won't really drive the sort of fps at 1440P where going with the additional refresh rate would provide any realistic benefit. I haven't gotten it yet, should be here tomorrow or the next day but for the price of this monitor, it's feature-set and the reviews I've seen.. I'm pretty excited to see for myself. It's one of the best sellers in the 1440p class of gaming monitors on multiple tech stores I frequent, newegg included. Not the cheapest monitor I've owned and far from the most expensive. I didn't want to buy something more expensive because if this monitor ends up being as nice as some of the reviews I've seen, I have every intention of buying another one pretty much immediately. I've also read that while it's branded as an AMD Freesync monitor, it also supports G-Sync as well. Pretty neat if true, though I probably wouldn't use it much since I'm almost positive you'd be disabling features like overdrive and hdr to utilize it. I've been on double 24" 144hz 1080p monitors for a while, and it's gonna be nice to change over to two 27" class 1440P screens.

Can you do a tutorial on the menu with settings and best performance, calibration, and how set up and use the on screen performance dashboard? I just got this monitor I'm playing around in the settings now. Instructions are useless, and I haven't found a video on this model other than reviews. I got it to pull up the dashboard with cpu/gpu temp, fps and all the other info, but it doesn't register any readings. I was really looking forward to utilize this monitor function instead of software. Thanks

I bought this monitor a week ago, and today I ran into a pretty strange issue (that was easy to fix once I found out what it was, thankfully). Apparently, with the F02 firmware, the 2 top left pixels (horizontally) will duplicate the 2 bottom right pixels (so whatever color is shown on the bottom right corner will be shown on those 2 top left pixels). This will look like dead or stuck pixels, but they appear to work fine when the whole screen is the same color, and enabling HDR on Windows will make the pixels work fine. The fix is simple, just update the firmware to F04 (downgrading it to F01 seems to work too). I don't know if this affects all monitors when using version F02, or only some of them (it would be weird since it seems to be a bug and not an actual hardware fault).
People saying yeah this Monitor isn´t suited for viewing in the dark etc. IPS in general aren´t the best for gaming in the dark, but VA isn´t suited in genral cause of the blacksmearing... So IPS is always the way to go and have to accept the worse contrast thats how I see it after some research.

No issue with second monitor. I did notice different settings for the fist and second one. They're made 3 days apart second being the older one. First was on f02 firmware second was on f01 firmware. You can't find above f02 except on reddit. A guy had issues and gigabyte gave him f04 firmware I tried it and it says f04 on osd sidekick after I installed

Seems like Gigabyte delivered a cherry picked unit to you. Everybody that bought this monitor in my country, me included, had a significant backlight bleed and IPS glow problems (talking about 30+ units). This behavior is similar to what companies are doing with SSDs nowadays - early units are equipped with great components, so the reviewers give these products high scores in reviews, then silently swap the components for inferior ones.
