You think $200 is still a good deal for the 935?
It be nice if their watches all had ptt. .Hey. Just saying. Why? Well,. .Why not? And if that feature worked flawlessly, they'd definitely have my money. "I'd take two, please."
change your bar tape!
If you are looking to learn about the 735xt or the fenix 5 then watch this video. If you are looking to get much info at all about the 935 don't waste your time this video is not really about it.
Plis make garmin 935 vs coros apex
What does WIFI do on the watch? What's the benefit there?
Does Forerunner 935 read Power watt for cycling ?
My 735xt that I have been using for the past couple of years died after a swim yesterday. I had a look around and found the 935 price was slashed down to $399 AUD. It was a deal I couldn't go past.
I find the 935 very slow compared to a forerunner 620 or 645 music, with the buttons and going to another interval after saving the workout
Handy vid, just bought this 270£ in UK. V good watch, v happy with it. Day 5 of charge and done plenty, still 55%. I can see it lasting a week without charge if your doing just 5 hours gps a week.
2 years later still 399€ retail and 250-300 ebay.
every time I try buying a smart watch I end up in a choice frustration channel - very confused - :)
No 945 yet?
Does it monitor ur heart rate while swimming?
Hi Riz im ooking for a new watch, I'm using the fitbit surge at present but its had its day I'm afraid. I'm not an overly active person but would like to be so looking to upgrade. I've tried the galaxy watch, but found the apps and performance wanting to be honest despite the hype. Could you suggest a watch that is reasonably priced, looks good for every day wear gives notifications and possibly helps you to navigate with gps and map plz.
Reasonable memory for music would be a bonus but not essential. I know I've put you on the spot. But some tips would be good. Thanks in advance as it's a minefield with the choices available.
I wanted to ask: I have the 935 so does a friend of mine! But, in the languages, I have a variety of languages (English, Spanish, French, Russian & several others.) The one from my friend only has English, Malay, and 2 others that I think are Indonesian & other. My friend doesn't speak English, so we were looking to set it up in Spanish. But It doesn't have the option to change it to Spanish. We updated the software version thinking that it may be it, but it wasn't. Her watch still only have those 4 languages, being English the one that we have it set, but really want to check what's going on and why it doesn't have the Spanish option. Any ideas? Also, every time we change the settings from miles to km, it gets changed back again to miles on the first activity carried out. Any ideas on that too?
Guys I need some help here I got the Fenix 5S but it’s not tracking cadence on the watch. Do I have to buy the HRM strap for this?
my thoughts are that Garmin is monopoly robbing people. what is the production cost of these watch? plastic body and plastic strap for 50 cents and insides for up to $10? how its justified to sell it for $500?
I am mainly a pool swimmer , a few times a year open water , what watch do I get if my main concern is heart rate ?
Why did you say that "if you are mostly into running, you may check out the 735xt, 630, 235"? I'm mostly into running, wouldn't the 935 work out for me?
Thanks! It’s been a few years, but with the 945 out these now get reduced enough that I could justify having one in addition to my day to day smart watch! I can’t justify ~$500 for an exercise only watch, but picked this up for $220 with the tri pack and that’s a very appealing price. Your review really helped deciding between this and the 735 for $180, thanks!
Would this model suit boxing type workout/martial Arts
Plastic shell!? And that means is fragile.
Is this an upgrade on the 735XT?
worth buying garmin 935 in 2020?
Ok bro, absolutely terrible review. After you said phoenix 5 for the 14th time, I just gave up on your video lol.
Is there any android app that can do the things that this watch can do if I pair my phone with an external hrm?
Awesome watch, a lot of functionalities and customizations I’ve been using only the Run activity and it’s great. I’m come from an Apple Watch and the only thing I missing is the touchscreen, but it's easy to get used to the buttons Maybe the only thing to point is the need to wait to GPS signal ok before start a run in order to get accurate metrics. If you start a run without GPS signal ok the watch doesn’t try to get it done in the middle of the run.
Hey man is there a way to get weekly hours trained out of garmin? I can’t find a way to find it. Thank you!
Thanks for review
Is there any way to add "maps" to the FR935? There are applications such as DWmaps or Maps(r.485) which in some youtube videos show that they work on fenix 3 and fenix 5 versions. Also it says that this applications are suitable for many models, one of them is the FR935.
What do you say about that?
I am really needing to switch from my ShitBit to a new watch. With the 945 coming out I might be able to finally afford the 935. How can you afford all these great watches? Send me one lol lol
Is this device has a music function?
Is this better than the Fenix?
great video, can you tell me if it has a water temperature feature and if it's accurate? Garmin gives me mixed answers. Thanks
Newbie to indoor cycling and this is probably a dumb question. I can use just this watch to track my indoor cycling?
A word of caution for those looking to get a 935. Foremost it's a great watch and I have no regrets, but I'd like to inform people that there's 2 versions of this watch (and several other Garmin devices). And that fact is not well documented in most cases.
Garmin has a APAC (Asian Pacific) and a ROW (Rest of World) version of the watch. The APAC version is generally cheaper and most of these $150+ off sales you see are APAC watches and it's usually not specified in the description.
Note that the actual watch itself it identical in both versions, the difference is the software that's running on the watch. The biggest difference being the supported languages. The APAC version contains your glyph based languages like Chinese and Japanese, while the ROW is literally everything else (Spanish, French, Etc.). However, If you're an English speaker or are otherwise fine with your data screens being in English than both the APAC and ROW versions support English.
The other difference is that the APAC versions receive delayed updates. This may not be a huge deal unless there's a new feature added to the 935 via software. This happened with the release of Garmin Coach; the APAC versions didn't have access to the new feature for some months after it's release. That was actually how I learned all this.
I wanted to try out the new Garmin Coach feature and couldn't find it anywhere on the site or app. After getting in touch with Garmin and doing some detective work we found out the issue was that I had bought an APAC watch. Initially I felt scammed, but at the end of it all I still feel like I got a good deal. The watch itself works great and after a little waiting I finally got to try Garmin Coach. I found it for $329 when it was still running $500, so at the end of the day I'm happy with this purchase.
Thanks so much for a great review! I'm looking to upgrade my Fitbit charge 2 (as I've seriously increased my training (paddling regularly) and am needing track my workouts more accurately (GPS and workout tracking). Which one would be good 235, 735 or 935? Or other brands?
I have been planning to upgrade on a forerunner 935. What i have found on internet is that in all the previous models there has been a thing that while outdoor running, it never shows exact pace, but an estimation to the nearest 5 seconds. I have also read that it is Functionally the same fenix 5, which my dad uses. I know that that's not the issue with the five but with the forerunner 935, wouldni get an estimated pace or exact pace, without any estimation.
Thanks
Thank you for this video. I will be updating from a fitbit ionic to this one so I might be blown away by the new data lol! Is it any good with the sleep/steps/floors and general health data? I love that from my fitbit but I want more in depth data from my runs
Lund
My friend love it. He is a distance runner and likes it gives him the ability to listen to music and track his running.
Does 935 has a music storage?
Nice form on those dips!
Had this watch for a few weeks now. Hands down the best watch ive worn. I use it for heavy triathlon training and as my daily driver. Its super accurate, gives me loads of data, very light, and uploads all my data to Strava and Training Peaks automatically which I love. I find 935 actually looks sleeker and more modern than the Fenix 5l. The Fenix is more of a robust and hiking/camping looking watch where the 935 is more sporty. 935 also has wifi connectivity standard where as on the Fenix 5 you must upgrade to the sapphire model to get this. This makes the 935 a much better value. Im very confident in the 935's durability and dont think twice wearing it anywhere. However, if I was a big hiker/camper/ rock climber Id go for the Fenix line.
So glass on this is plastic and not a mineral one?
wondering if it does the "turn by turn" navigation?
Hey, thanks for the review. I am on the fence of Fenix 5 and 935. Base on your experience, will the 935 be significantly more vulnerable? Like if I go climbing with it, will it get scratched easily or like if I fall from a skateboard, will it be easily broken? I don't expect it to be as rugged as a Gshock but I want something that can take some beating. Is 935 the one for that?
Hi,
Great review, as we are used by now :-)
Could I get you opinion on either Fenix 5 or the 935 ?
I do mainly Gym group classes (Les Mills RPM, BodyPump, etc) but also some strength workouts.
But also do some running, and on winter Ski.
So it seams both are a good choice, but the decision between the weight on the fenix 5 and the resistance of the 935
Also it looks like both could be worned all day, even at the office, right ?
Thanks in advance, and keep up the awesome work.
Because it is the Fenix 5 just in plastic instead of metal and only the 5X has mapping.
Does it have a chess mode? If not what about tracking metrics while playing cards.
''Misfit Shine 2''
Can you review this?
Great review sir, well done! I have the Forerunner 235 and I am considering upgrading to the 935
Excellent review!
Thanks for the review. A question, FR935 has the same heart rate sensor as the fr735xt? Or 935 has the newer HR sensor?
0:58 What do you exactly mean with "Advanced mapping capabilities" ?
Thanks for the review. Garmin says the 935 has a glass screen.
was wondering leaning between the 5X and 935 however i work in the mining industry so with that said wpuld you say go to the X for reason of durability?
Nice review as always! Although a baby version, this is still an expensive watch and it leaves me feeling a bit ""WTFish" that it has a plastic face. Especially considering this is an activity watch that will probably find itself in a fair amount of rough environments. I assume they're screen protectors you can buy for it, but sheesh man. What a crazy engineering decision by Garmin.
Great video,thanks again bro!
FR 735xt is on a great sale. Run bundle only $350. I mean, unless you are one of the elite athletes, I don't see any difference between 735 and 935/fenix5
