I'm guessing you waited 8 secs after you stopped running before you stopped the Garmin watch? Otherwise, 23sec difference in Pace indicates there's a lot of measurement error on one of them. Concerning.

часы по функционалу хорошие ноооо! производитель негде не указал что их хватает чуть больше гарантийного срока а это 2года + 2-3 мес и у них садится батарея и все они бесполезны ! ремонту они не подлежат! разобрать их невозможно ! официальный сервисный центр так и говорит срок вышел - все покупайте новые, мы эти модели не ремонтируем! ! дороговато для таких пробежек! так что задумайтесь прежде чем обзавестись таким девайсом!

Hi, nice review. I really like the forerunner 225. My only issue is accuracy; it systematically indicates I ran shorter distances than the real ones. I have confirmed this across plenty races and long runs with other people or me alone using another device at the same time. Typical situation would be a crowded race. When we cross the km markers, you can hear tens of devices bipping at the same time. My FR225 does it later and later as the end of the race comes closer. To give you an idea, when I run HM it suggests I ran 20.9 km. 200 m of difference! In 10k races it usually steals 100 m so yes, the error is quite linear. Garmin support made me install new firmware -they did not tell me it would erase all my files :(, and reset the watch but nothing changed. Have you crossed anybody else with the same issue? Did I get the only dodgy sample from a giant batch of wonderful watches?
The screen is super dark if you don't use the light button. Any tips?

Loved the review, but I thought the 225 was a runner's watch and if you cycle with it, it would mess up your times. Has this changed?

Hey man, this review and the comments have been practically invaluable for me as I have spent the past 3 days researching and forum surfing fitbit and coming to the conclusion they are riding the trend of wearable fitness tech which falls short of accuracy for avid fitness junkies. Have you done a review on the TomTom Cardiosport and will you be getting your hands on the new Garmin 235?

Awesome watch, a lot of functionalities and customizations I’ve been using only the Run activity and it’s great. I’m come from an Apple Watch and the only thing I missing is the touchscreen, but it's easy to get used to the buttons Maybe the only thing to point is the need to wait to GPS signal ok before start a run in order to get accurate metrics. If you start a run without GPS signal ok the watch doesn’t try to get it done in the middle of the run.

Terrible review
I would love Fenix 3 with Optical Heart Rate Sensor built-in just like Forerunner 225, running dynamics won't be there though.
Walking is not as important? Since when? Walking for EVERYONE, even if you are built like Arnie. is important. I run, I lift, I zumba even but I walk everywhere & I know I am fitter for it rather than working out once a day & then stop moving. I'd rather something like this let me get your ass moving just a bit more than looking at a heart rate that on me is at rest46bpm. It wont do me crap. Walking is very very important to everyone. Step count, I make sure I walk enough to do 30,000 steps a day why? Because of my back pain that means I can't sit.
Probably a dumb little question, but does it show your current pace and distance while running? From what I've seen while running it has been displaying the heart rate screen exclusively.
Your review started well but then fell into the comparison to the iPhone watch. It's not an iPhone and its not a smart watch and thank God for that because don't need any of those when you're running or exercising right? Was looking for a more review on its functions and how well it works yours didn't answer that sorry.
This video is very misleading. It's not meant to be a smartwatch, so why do you keep calling it that or comparing it to the Apple watch or Android Wear? It's a GPS running watch with a built in heart rate monitor that also happens to track your steps. The heart rate monitor isn't a minor feature here. It's one of the big deals about this. Of course you can't check your mail. Or course you can't answer calls. It's a running watch with heart rate monitor (mainly) that can track steps (secondary).
why do you compare iPhone GPS with a Garmin GPS? Thats not a good idea.

You don't need to put it on the underside of your wrist.  That's not how this technology works.
You ever put the heart rate monitor on the other side of the wrist where your main artery or pressure point is?
you keep and keep comparing it to an apple watch, which is not far at all also quite odd, its like comparing a bicycle to motorcycle im very intrested in this "activity/sport watch" for many reason, one of them it having a long lasting battery   which you didn't mention
Another note, it is comfortable.  Band is nice and supple.
Just as a note, I use the term "smartwatch", when it's probably more accurate to say "activity tracker".  The selling point and change they made to the 220 besides the optical HR, is the inclusion of all-day activity tracking, sort of like a Fitbit or Jawbone.  The 225 won't answer your email (at least not in this firmware).
