I got the 5x Plus.because it has Real GPS maps, better sensors. The 3HR is tempting for $200, but I keep reading about how crappy the sensors are and the HR sticks out too much.I just Really need the GPS.
I bought mine in May 2017, use for running, Mountainbiking, OCR and it performs brilliantly!
Just thinking of replacing my fenix 3hr with a 6x, must say that the fenix 3hr is amazing and the sapphire glass is damn solid. I have smashed it into sharp metal edges as I use it for work and so on, but not a single scratch on the glass. However, the metal ring around has seen some better days :P The builtin HR-sensor has now started to behave a bit odd, and is one of the reasons why I might replace it also the new looks nice and seems to be nicer to navigate.

Your rowing technique is shockingly poor
I bought one about 1 month ago - with titanium band , no sapphire glass though. Got a screen protector. Light, comfortable, long battery life . I use it for hiking and trail running. I use Energy Face with white background and black symbols for maximum contrast. Very happy with it.
Should I get the Fenix 3 hr? Or other the regular or sapphire? On eBay it’s like 200 used. Looks like the best military smart watch
I stair climb on outdoor stairs up the side of an escarpment. I've had some serious inconsistency with the heart rate measurements. My display showed me approx 70bpm and a manual measurement was close to double that. I also routinely shower higher heart rates on descent than ascent which doesn't make sense with what I'm actually feeling. I used a strap a couple of times for comparison and thought I still had error. I've been debating returning as the retailer that sold it too me has a very generous return policy. That said, I'd prefer to keep this out of landfill or where ever the store sends it's damaged goods. I cleaned the sensor and even shaved the sensor area on my wrist. Based on your review I'm going to do some more testing with a strap before acting. I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice.

Hi, I recently had my Garmin Fenix 3 watch flogged but they did not take off with the charger. Is their any steps to track and take back my watch even if their is no battery power in the watch or can whomever who may have my watch purchase a new charger for it get it charged and be good to go? KEEP THE BLUETOOTH ALERT FEATURE! Someone tried to steal my phone when I was at the store. I got the alert that it disconnected. I then ran around a radius where of how far I thought the guy could have gotten. Lo and behold, it came back into range and reconnected. I IMMEDIATELY hit my "Find my Phone" feature, and the guy threw the phone behind him and ran. IT COMES IN HANDY IF YOU'RE BIKING, TOO! I dropped it on the trail, and the alert vibrated! I got my phone before I got too far away!

Picked up the Fenix 3 sapphire HRM-run bundle second hand for €80 ($95). Great value and great build quality. Altimeter and barometer give me patchy readings, but I can live with that.
