The 7.1 is pure BS, it sucks. The control panel is sh!t. 9/10 times it crashes and is quite useless because everything can be adjusted from windows at Playback tab > (select Gamdias device) > Properties button > Effects tab > (select effect) > Settings button and voila. Only effect I use is the equalizer. I just ordered my second pair after a year of use the cable on the first pair is causing issues. I was massively disappointed by a pair of Somic G95X 5.2 (twice the $$) which sounded like a pair of 2$ dirt cheap headphones. The bass on Hephaestus 2 is insanely good if you configured it properly (i just keep it at max). Few other things to note. The lights create a buzzing effect in sync with their pulse. Just turn them off. The Mic and lights must be closed at each startup or disconnect. They don't remember any settings. I enable listening to the mic to remind myself. The mic also has some annoying buzz most of the time. But when it doesn't. It has studio-like quality (so to speak). After almost a year, the plastic that holds the cups will give up. Thankfully nothing that can't be fixed with some glue (you loose the rotation but get a permanent fix). The audio is damn good. If only their other parts would be as good.
