does this work on an intel processor with a compatible motherboard?
i have x470 aorus elit mb and r5 2600 cpu and this memory flare x 3200 cl14...if i put xmp profile im getting blue screens :( i have to run on basic frerquenci and its work fine..dont know why...

I own r7 1700x and I've bought this RAM kit from Corsair - CMR16GX4M2C3200C16W I also have Asus Prime B350 Plus and I'm struggling with single rank 16gb 2133 MHz: can't go dual rank - POST bell rings 3 times, can't OC in single rank, so it's just 2133 MHz single rank 16 gb kit which is unpropriate for me. Can somebody tell me which MOBO to use to make these guys work fine at 3200 MHz? Willing to try Gigabyte x470 Aorus Ultimate Gaming, but I'm pretty scary here ;(
I just built a PC with a ryzen 7 2700x, x470 Aourus gaming 7 wifi and corsair vengeance ddr4 3200MHz. when I run CPU-Z, the dram frequency shows 1832.9 MHz. is that good? I am new to this and want to know if im good with that or shown I exchange it for the Gskill. thanks.

G Skill FlareX can go higher than that. At least with Ryzen second gen. CL14 3466. With quite tight subtimings.

Hello. I'm trying to upgrade my RAM. I have 6gb rrd3 16000mhz 9-9-9-24 (timing). I'm trying to add 16gb ddr3 1600mhz 11-11-11-30 timing. Would I have a problem because the timing is different?

2800 to 3000 Mhz is the sweet spot for any Ryzen Cpu !

Great video! I’ve been saying for a long time that RAM speeds matter. I've noticed especially so in CPU bound scenarios but even in GPU bound scenarios as evident in this video! This is why I love you and Digital Foundry. Gamers Nexus and Linus Tech Tips seem to disagree :(
I heavily prioritized performance, but dear god are the CL14 Flare X RAM and Noctua cooler are making my new Ryzen 1800x build look like it was beaten with an ugly stick. I may have to tint the glass on my case so I can't see this stuff as well.
I know mind blank tech has frame time variance graphs and ram timings too in his results. maybe you could include a test like that as well ? also 3600 MHz ram is possible using Samsung b die high quality G skill trident z, as this memory is better binned and helps Ryzen's compatibility at higher speeds especially VLL ram timings. Also having a well functioning latest and familiar bios would help with the ram timings and "the excel spreadsheet" for finding compatible timings. I've never built a Ryzen system but I'm pretty sure I understood what Mind Blank Tech was talking about. I just want an Aussie to try and correlate the results he got. Once again I would really love to see the effect the properly adjusted timings have on maximum working memory speed.

Those are samsung b-die. That's why they are expensive. Most of those ram sticks with timings 14-14-14-34 and 16-16-16-36 at 3200 mhz are samsung b-die.

You have to wear the anti-static wrist strap for it to prevent damage, not keep it in a bag next to the mat 😉
The kit on the right (3600MHz CL14 $200) is the one I use for most of my tests. On the Ryzen 5 3600 the FPS is a little higher with (3600MHz CL14) but the sweet spot is the (3200MHz CL14) kit which is $100. All these memory kits are running XMP. You can always tune your memory but the majority of people will not overclock/tune. I will be posting more memory comparison videos with the Ryzen 3600 and 3900X. Stay Tuned!
I was contemplating on buying a 3600xCL14 kit to do a slight upgrade from my 3600xCL16 (tightened timings) kit of memory but you just saved me about $500. Think I'm fine with my tightened CL16 if the difference is barely even +1%. Thanks man!

Hey, Tech Imperium, huge fan of your benchmarks :) im having a headache over my RAM, lol. i currently have hyperx fury 2x8 3200mhz cl16 kit, would switching to cl14 3200-3600mhz 2x8 or switching to dual rank setup of something like 2x16 cl16 3200mhz, would make a difference on 5600x + rog strix b550-f + 2080ti? what would you recommend for maximum gaming performance, well preferably with an optimal price/performance. i would highly appreciate your opinion, as you have swithced between so many different hardware, that you have a great knowledge of what performance gains can be achieved. many thanks for your reviews :)

Difference its about 3fps for tier , not that worth to upgrade imho, but have you noticed the 1% lows being higher on the suposedly worst ram?(3200mhz cl 16) Interesting.

I just bought a R5 3600x with a B450M Steel Legend. I read that if I put more than 3200Mhz I can lose the warranty of my CPU. It’s so much information. Money is not a problem. What the best Mhz and timings without taking any future damage or issues? I want the best and safe spot.

Instead of paying $200 for 3600 mhz c14 ram to get 5 extra fps, buy $70 3200 mhz c16, and put that extra money into better gpu or cooler for cpu or something with more appreciable gains.

Successfully overclocking 2400 mhz ram to 3400 mhz 16-20-10-16-22 with 1,35v is one of the most satisfying thing in my life. I spent 60$ to get this pair of 2x8gb sticks.

Moral of the story... paying a crap ton of more money for higher ram is not worth it. If you think you can tell the difference you are full of sheet.
