Great video... best review I have seen from the camera... I’m getting mine this week. Exited.
This is by far the best video I've seen on Fuji x-t2. Great practical information, straight to the point and with good examples. Thanks for that!
Thanks to your review I am more than happy to buy it.
"They're real proud of that hipster processor" 😭 classic.
A realistic review thanks !...Having used Pentax SLR’s some 30 years ago and now finding the Fuji XT2 ...amazing !.... so easy to use for us oldies ! ha. No lengthy menus to go thru and it feels just like an old SLR with new brains 😊...fantastic !
Nice, that you're showing many of your photos. I like them.
LOVE the picture at14.03
You take fantastic photos 👍 Subscribed.
still trying to find out how i setup the clock to (YY-MM-DD-Hours-Minuts-Seconds) I can't find the seconds. i need the clocks to be synct with my Nikon's
Hey Ramon! I didn't know you were shooting with Fuji now. I'd love to see a video of you comparing it to your a7ii now that they both cost the same. And also with your Olympus omd em10mkii. I'm still shooting with my em10mkiii exclusively and a p20 pro that I just got. And for a phone it is pretty good.
Amazing colors....
I have the sony a7r2, with great lenses, got my xt2 with 35 1.4, 56, 10-24, 18.55. and they are all amazing. Amazing jpg! no need for raw!
In Capture One no water color issues.
Just shoot lossless compressed. Files come out same size as Nikon, about 25MB.
03:45 This lens is actually a 27-82.5 not a 28-70.
Epic review man and great photos. I am getting the X-T2 within a month or so. The price has dropped a lot lately which is great since the camera is still the same :)
Been looking forward to this review since the first time I heard you casually mention buying the Xt-2 lol. I enjoy using the camera a lot. It's just fun, even though it's my first camera it's been really easy to use it to learn.
I agree, doesn't matter what system you use, once 'you' enjoy using it. A good photographer will always take better pictures with a crap camera than a crap photographer with the latest and greatest. Those who moan about ISO performance or sensor sizes or harp on about 'equivalence' are nothing but gear heads. The types who spend more time taking pictures of their gear and ranting on forums than actually getting out and using it. You will rarely ever hear a true professional talk about mega pixels or crop factors or any differences between various systems. They're too busy out there shooting to waste time on all that. I know pro's who make decent money and they still use Dslrs from 7-8 years back, they 'upgrade' when it don't work no more!
Got a new subscriber today, straight forward review from a fellow Scotsman which is a nice bonus. Just sold all my Sony gear and bought an X-T3 with the 18-55, so this review was important to me. Many thanks :)
I always use a DSLR câmera but now um thinking move to mirroless. What you think about this move?
The XF 16-55mm f/2.8 also doesn't have OIS. Otherwise it would have been THE lens xD
Thank you that's really helpful) I am looking for that lens would be my first lens in my first camera XT4 and I want to do videos and photos as well. Probably will buy that one but second hand since I just spend all my money for xt4)))
thanks
which one would u recommend for video the 16-80 or the 18-55?
Would the be a good lens to get with the Fuji X-H1? I shoot a lot of landscape photography some portrait etc...
This lens is way sharper than the 16-80. I had both and returned the 16-80.
Hi. I have a question regarding the Fuji XF 18-55mm lens. I just bought a second-hand copy of this lens and it makes a grinding noise I am not sure it is normal. When the aperture is on the smaller end (or whenever it is not on the widest aperture), the blades will instantly close up to the respective f stop when I half-press the shutter button. But when I release the shutter I can hear the blades making the noise as the aperture opens fully back up. Closing up makes a noise, but is fast and smooth, but when the blades open back up I can hear the noise but also notice a more stepped motion of the blades. Is this normal?? Thanks
very good review. Thank you. But I wish we could see the video performance of this lens as well. And it would be nice if the shooting values were written on the photos. Thanks again.
Review about 18-135 Iam waiting
Its available new for around 300$ in einfinity 😇✌️
Who cares of what people want?
What's the ring after the zoom I never figured out ?
Good build but sharpness and contrast is not that great at 18mm and f2.8. Have to use f5.6 to get some ok results.
Could this lens be used for Instagram filming Liam? Would the Fujifilm 10-24 be a better option? Cheers Hamish
Great photos. Very nice samples are rare. The f 2.8 (yes 2.8) - 4 is a great all around lens and one of the great bargains in photography, right up there with the Sigma 16mm f 1.4 DC DN. 'Kit' is a poor choice of words. Fuji made extra great efforts to make this worthy of it's X camera line up and it shows. It should have been tagged with a red label. I've shot successful weddings with a less. You can see the results of the !8 - 55mm f 2.8 - 4 on my channel (X T3 60p VS 30p 4K Sample).
Superb lens. I bought mine second hand for next to nothing and I’ll never sell it. I’m using an X-T3 and I’ve paired mine with a 3rd party 11mm extension tube for macro shooting.
I needed help to decide, which one to buy, i am buying one of these, both comes in similar price here in Thailand : 1. Fujifilm xt20 with kit lens 18-55mm f 2.8-4 2. Fujiflim xt30 with kit lens 15-45mm f 3.5-5. Both are around 750$ i am not sure which one to buy.
Having already the 18-135mm which I bought in a kit with my X-T1 back in the day (because weather sealing, but the IQ was sadly not there) I rather opted for the 16-55mm f2,8. Yes, the 16-80mm f4 might be more flexible, but the 16-55mm is more suited to my needs. And no, lack of OiS is not the problem if used on the X-H1...
What are the in camera corrections used (around 3:17)?
Fire videos my guy
Good video
Is it worth to upgrade this one with the new 16-80mm? Thanks! Always enjoying your reviews!🐢
Hi Chris, for your first Fuji lens would you get this as a kit or go body only and get a different lens? XT4 camera.

Im.s begginer how do u create that slight distortion?
How was the focus breathing when you tested this lens?
I think 26mm f/5.6 is the sweet spot then, isn't it? No distortion, sharpest all around and no vingetting.
I have been shooting with XT-4 and this lens for 3 weeks now (for a review) and in my opinion this is literally the worse lens that I have ever used. I got more sharpness from cheap Chinese lenses than this. I don't know if it is just not eight for XT-4 but it is a huge disappointment for me :(
Great review, as always. Would be very interested to hear your thoughts on the 18-135.
What a fantastic, informative review by someone with such a pleasant voice. Subscribed.
xf 35mm f2 or xf 18-55mm ?
So that thing on an X T30 would be something wild
Anyone can tell me why most of the Fuji lenses no have image stabilisatin ? This is huge downside.... only this zoom lens has and few telephotos...none of the 35mm focal lenght have...
My 18-55 lens after 2 years abruptly developed a serious noise issue at ISO 320 and higher. Anyone experience this?
I recently got this lens and being fairly new to cameras, I'm confused as to what the camera hood is used for?
Will it not work with xt10?
i see it’s crowned by many as one of the best “kit” lens. I bit the bullet and got mine for a good discount , brand new. Im guessing cuz it’s no warranty and international???? Saw similar priced on ebay but they were all used. I havent had any fuji lenses on my xh-1 since i got it. Im eager to have autofocus finally and see how this kit lens holds up.

Never set your camera down with sensor facing upwards
enjoy it bro!
