Lens will make you better at photography? Really?! Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm f/0.7 is "fastest lens", and from f/2 to f/1 it's two stops of light, not one. f/2 > f/1.4 > f/1 And why are you yelling all the time? "a lot of cameras have a viewfinder"? -_-' There is external and internal (TTL, prism) viewfinder. This one is external. Also there is optical, digital and hybrid type. Also nice backlight! xD

Super cool looking unit
Something weird happened with mine: during last outing with it, suddenly a solid black (looks like metal) 'blind' appeared across bottom 1/3 of EVF viewfinder window and I don't know how it happened or how to get rid of it. I tried increasing EVF brightness to +3 and the 'blind' is still in the EVF windowdoesn't show up in images it's just disconcerting and a nuisance since I prefer to focus manually and I prefer to use the EVF over the LCD on the back of the camera. Any suggestions? I did put the Fujifilm adapter ring on it with a 49mm UV/haze filter on it to protect the lens. Can't imagine that would have anything to do with it.
OK I'm a total traditionalist when it comes to cameras. Like my favorite camera is my beloved Nikon FM 35 mm SLR film camera. However I'm getting tired of lugging it around with a bag full of lenses and accessories; the poor selection of 35 mm film available locally (excepting mail order); and hit-or-miss film developing. I have a digital camera: a Sony DSC-S780 which my wife bought for me back in 2008 but I'm looking to upgrade to a more modern digital camera. I've pretty much discounted DSLR's because I want something easy to carry, and generally DSLR's are too 'fidgety' and over-laden with buttons and gizmos. I like simple. I value image quality over a bunch of features which I probably won't use most of the time and if it takes too much fooling around scrolling through menus and trying to push tiny buttons; not interested. This Fuji X100F really appeals to me but how about the build quality? Is it fairly robust construction (like a metal body)? Guess I'm spoiled by my Nikon FM because it is built like a tank. I basically want a good digital camera to be primarily used for travel, portraits, and just generally 'recording the moment'. I'll save the more involved photography for my FM or when I just feel like shooting film. Comments, recommendations? Thanks.

This review is really bad. He talks a lot about how pictures are suposed to look. No, photography is not all about no grain. Even less in black and white photography, where a lot of the best images have a lot of grain.
I had to turn it off in one minute, the light hurt my eyes. I figured anyone that clueless to light had no photographic knowledge of value.
I agree with you, it is cool changing the aperture with the camera ring. All the dials on this camera are cool.
Could you please elaborate on which type of autofocus you use for quick unexpected shots? (Zone/sinlge point,? Continuous?, etc)
I had a used X100 with the the SAB issue moved onto the T amazing camera until I drown it replaced with the F totally in love with this beast I use it for street travel and landscapes a huge majority of the photos of my channel were shot with the x100t and the X100f. I’d only feel the need to upgrade if the new model has a flip screen as that would save my knees a tad. Great review mate cheers new sub for ya✊️
Omitted the most important feature of this camera, it has a LEAF shutter!
pro tip: change the recording camera 180 degrees. Filiming into the highlights is not a good idea ;)

Is de EVF of the X100V better/wider? als with the X100F(as I own). Owning also a Panasonic GX8 with an EVF 0,77 I find my X100F EVF rather narrow and not as pleasant. I noticed the Brouwersdam.! Nice

Neither of x100f or x-t30 are weather sealed right? How did they handle rain?
Showing the XT30 at 05:04, it was covered in water droplets, how is its weather sealing? As its not official.
I've had my X100F since December 2019. I wanted a more up to date digital camera to replace my aging Sony digital camera (circa 2008). I wanted a smallish, easy to carry digital camera to 'capture the moment' when I didn't want to carry a bulky SLR camera with a bagful of lenses, and to be able to share photos without having to wait for film processing. I'm used to using simple, all-manual 35 mm film SLR's and at first the plethora of features and exterior controls were confusing and there was a bit of a learning curve to get comfortable with using the camera. Now that I've had it for a while I can say I'm very pleased with it. Image quality is superb especially at smaller lens apertures. I use mine almost exclusively in 'full manual mode' (againold habit) but the 'auto everything' mode is perfect for those quick candid shots when there's not enough time to fiddle with exposure settings. And I do like the 'retro/classic film rangefinder camera' look and feel. Dislikes? Only one: the placement of the 'Q' button on the camera body: I've pressed it with my right thumb by accident on numerous occasions at a critical moment resulting in an options menu popping up, but that's a matter of me being conscious of where I place my thumb when grasping the camera. Other than that: it's a real handy, well made instrument.
Ahhh, no hood or filter and specks on the lens! AHHH, my OCD! Haha, great video tho! The X100F will kick butt into the next decade. :D

As a recovering camera junkie (35mm later digital) I always ask myself, is my phone's camera (currently iPhone 11) adequate? Thus far yes. I shoot urban and landscape images, almost always wide angle. That said, I watch plenty of good camera reviews (like TT's here), to keep an open mind.
I want to get a new camera but have to save where I can for it. Hard to decide which one to shoot for.

I agree with your choice of this camera over the X100V. For the price of the X100V you can buy an XT-3 with 18-55mm lens.
uf. no. You haven't held a x100V. the price is totally justified. at that price point you know what you are getting, there aren't "better" cameras to get. also as a proud owner of the X100F, the X100T is a much better buy in 2020.
agreed good for the price right now 899 on sale for a black one. Are you still using and recommending this ? I think this is way better then a GR III and especially at the same price

Fujifilm is overrated, they are they iphone of cameras. Just get a Nikon d5000 and tamron 17-50 mil for under $300.
