Which SD cards are compatible
I quite like the look of this camera. However, I would want to hard wire it to power over Ethernet and not use the WiFi. I will have to drill through my wall which is plasterboard then breeze block then the brick wall. It doesn’t look as though the cable is long enough. Also, can the cable be detached at the camera side? There are rather a lot of bits hanging off the cable. I don’t want to drill a massive hole in the wall. Any answers? Thanks.
Do I need to update my firmware if I am using Blue Iris IPCamera software to support this camera? I wouldn’t think so, but just don’t know.
so if the sd card is inside the cam, and i have these cameras screwed high up on building walls (with a ladder so would-be thieves can't just jump up and remove/steal them too) - say 3m high - then I'd have to be climbing up and down ladders every 2 weeks just to get my videos And what happens when the storage is full? Does the oldest footage get deleted to make room for the new footage; or does the camera stop recording altogether when it's full Can these cameras also be connected to a hidden dvr somewhere to give me easy access to my videos?  Most importantly, can all the recorded videos be constantly streamed to some kind of cloud service to ensure that a potential thief cannot find&steal the dvr & camera with the footage that would ID and incriminate him?
*_I really like this little camera> I have now owned it for about 2 years. I also own Arlo and Ring cameras. They are nice, but this one has been a little champ for me. Both the Arlo and Ring cameras are fixed whereas you can easily move this camera remotely to look around. I also love the fact that I don't have to pay a subscription fee. The quality is just as good as what I get with the other two cameras. It is less expensive, and it had been a champ and always just works! I would highly recommend this camera and company. I will be picking up another one or two shortly._*
that's a great camera and it works perfectly with my Xeoma software
and how do you rotate the camera horizontally to left and right? if you rotate the mount then you can't move the camera up and down
the internal UI is extremly slow even with network cable connection, I get lots of timeouts and it takes 5-10 seconds for each menu change. It's too expensive for such a low performance camera!

It does work in Chrome, all you have to do is download the extension, and click the 3 vertical dots to the top right of the browser, click "More tools/Extensions", drag the downloaded extension file into the Extensions window, and restart Chrome.
Even though you broke the warranty sticker it's not void just to install an sd card. Also companies can't refuse warranty due to the stickers anyway.

Kamery bardzo dobre, jakosc video wysmienita zarowno w dzien jak i w nocy lecz niestety aktualizacja softu (ogryginalny ze strony foscam) pogarsza jakosc video, niestety nie mozna wrocic do poprzedniej wersji :( sa 2 rodzaje aktualizacji, jeżeli nastaoi aktualizacja wtyczki to jestesmy w czarnej die, mozemy wracac wstecz ale tylko z ruga czescia softu, pierwszej juz nie cofniemy. Przed aktualizacja moglem odczytac tabice rejestracyjne samochodu zaparkowanego ponad 10 metrow od kamery, w chwiki obecnej mam problem z odczytem tablic znajdujących sie 3 metry od kamery :( rozpoznanie twarzy w ciagu dnia jest rowniez malo prawdopodobne jezeli nie wiadomo kto to jest :-(

How are you watching live video(~17 min)? When I use firefox it says I can't use the plugins so I can't see live video :(

I dont get it. Why would you need to save recordings or images to a ftp, or a sd card, or the cloud, if it can save the recording to your phone. Am i missing something?
I have a Foscam too, but I use it with Xeoma app, makes it easier

I am out all day and I would like this to record over wifi constantly to a WD MyCloud NAS drive-is this possible? If so, is it possible to allocate it a size of disk space to use before overwriting? Thanks in I'm using a MAC
How did you even get connected to WI-FI? No luck here after a few hours.
There is a SD Card slot inside the unit. You need to unscrew the glass front and you will see it there, obviously located there to protect it from the rain etc. Beware unscrewing the screws that hold the glass front will void your warranty as per the sticker that is placed over one of the screws.

It records and saves videos using ftp each time that is motion activated? or how long the videos are and how frequently are saved on the ftp? A big amount of videos can easily take many Gigs, so I need to make sure how this works so I can make sure that I can set some cronjobs to remove files after some time.

Hi! i'm interessed to purchase 4 If9900p but i have read that the foscam's nvr nf3104H have only 1 channel in 1080p! so on the other 3 camera i lost the 1080p quality? what nvr do you recomend to have a full time recorded video to 1080p? thanks, pascal
That Ethernet plug makes the cable pretty thick. Not handy when you have to lead it through a wall. Can you disconnect the cable on the cameras side so you can put it through a small hole?

One of my cameras failed in less than 6 months. I come to find out that Foscam will only stand behind their work for a lousy 30 days. This tells me that they have no faith in their own product. Don't waste your money. My system has been stripped from my building and placed directly into the trash. I'll be shopping for a different brand. Hopefully I won't get screwed again.

Yups. It does not work really well in window 10 when u want to access it using browser. Maybe because of its web plugin. Window 7 can do the trick
Did you try to access cameras menu with Internet explorer? (it still exists on Win10) It usually works, Mozilla, chrome, and other browsers are not that compatible with Foscam plugin.
Maybe someone can assist, i have contacted the foscam app people several times and they don't know what is going on.  here is my issue - when i first got the FI9900P camera a month ago I set the app on my android, i received pushed alarm messages with a snap shot of what triggered the motion.  Now i don't get that triggered motion anymore i get the time of the motion but no snapshot.  I was receiving it as a notification not an email as well.  I think i have gone through my settings 1000 times with them and installed and reinstalled the app.

I sold these cameras in the end - had no issues hiding the cables outside because I put them up close to where the cables would be placed behind a fascia - I had purchase the bigger antenna to improve the range but the app was so annoying - could rarely connect to the cameras so in the end I just bought the NEST Outdoor IQ cameras - connect to them first time every time
Goodness, no one is showing how to hide the cables outdoors. How do we hide that thick cord?

Perfect, I've been looking into these cameras as well. I have rage Foscam indoor cameras and they work pretty well but set up is difficult without help such as this video, cheers
