I bought an upgraded version of their webcam for like 40 bucks last night. I don't need to worry about the microphone really since I'm using a blue yeti so hopefully it looks good

Got a Foscam W21but I can't get the microphone to work. Can receive and hear, my guests can see me, but can't hear me. Any ideas? Have a Dell P2317H screen, Intel NUC computer.

hello for some reason the webcam is giving me lower resolution at 480p and im confused as to why that is. I've been trying to find out how to up the resolution but I've gotten nowhere. Do you maybe know why that is?

I anm new in the business, I bought a AGPTEK camera, and I the p2plivecam is not being supported by Samsung Tab4. I got the camera becaus I want to surveillance my front yard through a pan window. I turne the infrared off, and works but low resultd. The FPS is 10 and I cannot find if I can increase it to 30FPS. Therefor I find this camera not suitable for my need, so I am looking for a replacement in the same price range. In summer time I intend to set it outside on the suffite well protected against weather. So do you have a recommendation such as thr F19821 Foscam. You advise is welcome.

It appears you are using the same port for all the extra cameras? Is that right? The only way I could eliminate problems was to put each camera on a separate port. For example: My CAM1 is on 8081; CAM2 is on 8082; CAM3 is on 8083: etc. Have you tried doing that? I've got six cameras and am using Blue Iris for my viewer on Windows and iOS devices. No problems. A question for anyone viewing this: Has anyone ever tried using separate IR illumination for outside night viewing. It seems Foscam's IR array is fairly weak and isn't providing nearly the illumination the cameras need to provide better and deeper viewing at night. Please let me know. Thanks.
Once this is set up with the home network. If I don't want to use an SD card or the cloud subscription, can the camera save the recordings in computer hard drive? Also, does the camera have a two way conversation? If someone is at the door, can i talk to them and vice versa from the app? Thank you.
I know this one has SD Card support. What about the other foscam camera models just under this one that dont have SD card support. If i was away from home and get a email notification picture, do i have the option to then record video from my app, if so where would this video be stored? Thanks!

For the email setting I set it to text my phone carrier when motion triggers, but it takes 50 sec !! that's awhile. is that about average? also can I get snapshot or video in the text? thanks (oops for FI9821p)

Is the FI9821W zoom capable?
It's possible that the crackling noise is related to wifi transmission during live video that is likely causing interference in the audio circuits.
I enjoyed your video on the FI9821, but I can't figure out how it differs from the FI9816. I can't tell on the website either and the prices are similar. I think the FI9816 might be the newer of the two. I only need it to watch my dog and maybe sometimes for other things. I have a security system, so it's not really for that. I want to be able to pan and tilt to see my small dog. I have an Android phone (kitkat) and my husband has an iphone 5. I use Firefgox on my PC, but think I would mostly use my phone to view anything. Which do you suggest and why? THANK YOU!

I have this cam and I can't get it to logon from a mac using safari. It works on Windows using edge or IE but not mac. It always has a "timeout" anyone know how to fix this?

Is it possible to view the live camera footage even when you're not even close to the network the camera is connected to? (for instance, at a hotel in another city)
One of my cameras failed in less than 6 months. I come to find out that Foscam will only stand behind their work for a lousy 30 days. This tells me that they have no faith in their own product. Don't waste your money. My system has been stripped from my building and placed directly into the trash. I'll be shopping for a different brand. Hopefully I won't get screwed again.

Ive had mine over a year and its been outside hanging at my shop, its not made for outside which it does catch a little mist but this hasnt hurt it any at all, For 80.00 bucks its been well worth it, And yes the I/R works great..Im going to buy another soon. Great for the price!

hi need some help here, I accidentally installed ipcwebcomponent.exe twice when I try to access camera on chrome (normally I access it from firefox) I also renamed the folder to "ipcwebcomponent chrome" in program folder. Now both browsers say "Plugins are not found, Click me to download" and when I manually drag ipcwebcomponenet.exe to add-on page it says it's corrupt. what do I do now? also http://IPAddress:Port/plugins.crx it returns 404.
ok front door wifi cam was acting weird, didn't use it for a long time but always left it on, then today connected to it via wifi, no picture, restarted it then able to get picture for 2,3 min then went out again, then pc won't connect online at all, restarted router didn't work, had to restart pc then it was working, that was weird it never happen before, and 2nd cam was fine. (if people are messing around with my wifi cam they can only see the feed? can they also gain access to your pc/network etc?!) I have high suspicion of neighbor kids. Before when I had wifi on, sometimes I won't be able to connect to internet at all, just all of a sudden it just won't connect, and before that it was all fine. then after I reboot router it's fine again. also for awhile I turned off wifi and the problem didn't happen at all!!! several instances it happened during the time that the kids are normally at home. Sounds like neighbor kids or old router? can they plant malare/spyware?!
