Like / sub. 😆 I wonder if you might have a suggestion for an IP cam with good quality image and fps that also works over rtsp or third party PC recording apps? This is the best I've seen in this price range so far but I agree with you that it could be better.

Enjoyed your demo of the FOSCAM R2. I have 4 of those and really like them. I do have a question and hope you can offer a solution. I have a NIGHTHAWK X4S router, and have my cameras set up to run 24/7 and record pictures via email to my website for later viewing and also video to my PC. My question is. While I have my IP Camera Tool open on my PC and seeing my cameras that are live, they like flash on and off a lot, like they are scanning or fighting to stay active? I'm not sure if there is something I need to set in my router or what. I also use Port Forwarding. My email in case I do get back here I would like to be notified: erayaustin @ Outlook.com. Thanks.

Thanks for your review; I would like to know what happens when you lose WIFI? Does the camera reconnect automatically or do you have to do a power cycle? I have one now, and it loses WIFI frequently, to rest it I have to trip the breaker! That real is bad!

Question, i have a R2, on the bottom of the phone app there's a camera icon that's used to turn on recording, when it's recording is it recording to the SD card on the phone or recording to the SD card i have in the camera?

Hey thanks for the videos, Just got the Amcrest 720p HD.  Used a Tenvis outdoor and indoor pan and tilt. Last cam was the foscam FI9803p and between night vision and ease of set up was far better than the Tenvis outdoor model. The Armcrest I just installed is pretty good but the picture is grainy and software could use some clean up. So I'm looking at sending it back and getting the Foscam R2 which to my knowledge foscam no longer has support and was bought by Amcrest OR should I get the Amcrest 1080p hd? Your thoughts would really help, I like foscams simple interface but the Amcrest does have some better features. Thank you

If it's streaming at 25 fps, why is it choppy? Movies are record at 24 fps.

I'm currently looking at the Foscam R2 and the R4 Is there any other camera you would suggest? Also, do you know if you will have a review sample of the R4 in the near future? What is your experience with the Foscam cloud service? - I need to hook up 8 cameras and the footage should be stored for at least 3 days. I have a Foscam R2, it works fine with the web viewer, phone app, foscam cloud etc. But I cannot get it to work Foscam IP Client 1.4.14 (the software that comes on the disk etc). I can find the camera using the software but it wont allow me to view the live footage or record to a local disk. I have read on the internet this is a problem specific to this camera? Has anyone else got the R2 working with the IP client 1.4.14 ???

Just wondering if that 2.0mp resolution is good enough.  I currently have a 3.0mp Foscam outside and wish it were better.Also, it's too bad the 2 way communication isn't integrated into the camera itself.  It has similar hook-ups as my current Foscam has.  I have a weatherproof mic connected to mine that I could use with this one.  What I'd really like to be able to do is attach a speaker so I could also talk through it remotely however you must have to use one that has its own power because any other ones won't work.
