I bought an upgraded version of their webcam for like 40 bucks last night. I don't need to worry about the microphone really since I'm using a blue yeti so hopefully it looks good

Got a Foscam W21but I can't get the microphone to work. Can receive and hear, my guests can see me, but can't hear me. Any ideas? Have a Dell P2317H screen, Intel NUC computer.

hello for some reason the webcam is giving me lower resolution at 480p and im confused as to why that is. I've been trying to find out how to up the resolution but I've gotten nowhere. Do you maybe know why that is?

But if that dam Foscam BigScam would still turn on, you could probably use it as a dummy camera (Which is actually one of the best way to keep the bad guy away), then if the light sensor & IR lights functional (As you mention at the end) you could use it to illuminate the path, for your other cameras, from a close by, so to give a possible better recognition power.

Hi brother I've purchased a WiFi cam with brand name VTI. The cam worked properly at the first month of purchase. But after that the upward movement of the cam stopped. I went through the settings with my mobile and RESET the cam. Unfortunately the camera stopped working and it's not connecting with my mobile phone. And a ting sound is being produced by the camera every 5 seconds while it's connected with the power Please advise me to fix this problem at the earliest.

How to bust data
There is a good chance that the camera was fine and the problem was solely with the power supply. The Foscam power supplies are known for dying young. I had one go (after about 8 years of continuous service btw- So no complaints really.) and I checked the supply and got 4.7 volts unloaded. Probably drops to 3 when hooked to a cam. Changed to another 5V 2A supply (checked at 5.2V unloaded) and the cam worked just fine. Unless you tried an alternate power supply before doing what you did, there is a fair chance that you just ham-handedly executed a perfectly serviceable IP cam who's only crime was to be dying of thirst for the proper juice.

The way you throw shit around I wouldn't let you anywhere near any of my equipment. Yes, it's a teardown of a inoperable unit, but someone who takes things apart like that usually is just as careless and destructive when repairing or reassembling things too.

Wish I had that WiFi client board you pulled out. The one in my camera quit working and I can't seem to find them anywhere. The camera still works great but I just can't use it wireless. Such a simple repair to replace the WiFi board but you just can't find'em :>\
