Thank you Bruce! I am seriously considering getting one.
Beautiful watch that u50
Really wish it left out the date. Anyone else a huge fan of time only dive watches?
I’ve been pining for a U50 in the blue, like the U1 b. I love this one but reckon the blue would be absolutely perfect with the fully Tegimented treatment.
I don't know about this watch. You can buy swiss made at this price point and that bracelet looks cheap. I would easily opt for a bell & ross br 02 v2 or ollech & wajs etc.
I would love the U50 if it had the UX hands. I think the rectangular hands are a bit dull. Still pick it over the Oris though, every day of the week.
That is a sick collection.
Incredible review
I think the hands slightly over power the U50 for it's size,, the U1 just about got away with it.
SW300-1 not SW-200-1
good vid as usual, that Sinn clasp is so miserable, considersing the cost and perfection of the rest of the watch, btw whch of your three is the beater, lol
Nice review, but it is incomplete as you didn’t even mention the movement, or the fact that the U50 has a superior movement compared to the U1.
That date window is amazing.
Should be a benchmark for all other watches.
U50 with GMT would be ultimate travel watch.
I would swap the Oris for the
"no longer a value proposition", well look at the market, all prices are increasing, look at Rolex etc.!
I have small 6.25” wrist and I prefer U1. This design to me meant to and looks better BIG. and it is big. But put U50 on my wrist although it’s more comfortable, but I feel I like the look of my U1 more. I was planning to buy U50 and sell U1. I ended up keeping my U1.
Clever doing the comparison with other well known watches. I was curious what the actual dial size was, and this sheds light on that.
I don't know what it is about this model. There's something about it that speaks to me.
Price please.Thanks
Would love this watch with the arrow hands. Not a fan of these thick ones.
Great review, I want one and am now convincing myself, slowly, to buy a U50.
This watch reminds me of the music group Kraftwerk and I don't know why. For me, the Sinn 857 Tegimented on strap or the Sinn U50-T Fully Tegimented on Strap. Both incredible.
I ordered the steel bezel on a rubber strap a few months ago, will get it in January 2021can’t wait
Sinn needs to add some sliding adjustment system to their metal bracelet clasps. Then their watches would be an absolute knockout.
What is the router noise like?
Love my U50 SDR!
*german submarine steel
I still think it looks a bit too much like one of those old fashioned railroad traffic-lights. granted: I had the larger version in my hands a few weeks ago and it is surprisingly subtle "in the flesh". But for the tooliest of toolwatches, I'd still go for the Sinn EZM3.
I absolutely LOVE the fact that your reviews almost always include strap showcases. It's incredibly valuable when considering a watch.
Interesting, but a bit overpriced for a sellita movement, at least in OZ.
I love the looks of that watch but 41mm is just a little too small. I can't do anything under 42mm unless it's a dress watch. It really is a sharp looking watch though.needs crown guards.
German stainless steel. From the town of Germany in China.
Just found your channel guys. You're up there with Watchfinder, if anything a teensy bit better ;)
Too bad Sinn bracelets are rubbish.
Very nice but perhaps a little expensive. looks great on the H-link. It looks like such a fit for purpose watch, the red, white and black really works imo.
super tempting.
Wish it's titanium instead of stainless steel
I prefer watch hands to have a more distinctive hour hand, so as the minute hand passes over, it is unable to obscure the hour hand completely. It bugs be when the minute hand obscures the hour hand completely. The hour hand should be fatter, or shaped differently
Does so many things, rugged and tough, splashes of red make the hands and dial pop against the flat black dial! Exceptional watch.
Hey everyone, stay tuned tomorrow night for another review! This time its the First Omega in Space Speedmaster, one hell of a watch!
Thank you for the pouring shot!
that coffee looks horrible.
Nice video. Not sure the Sellita 300 is an upgrade over the 200; my understanding is the only difference is the 300 is 1mm thinner i.e. ideal for smaller cases. Totally agree regarding the AR top coat, shouldn't be there.
is the silicone strap fitted snugly or there's a gap? that kind of detail can make or break a watch.
Are there any micro adjustments on the silicone strap to adjust the strap length for a better fit and heat expansion?
Please ditch the the coffee build up. I know you're trying to be creative and "different", but it isn't helping. Like if you agree.
Any update on the scratch resistant topcoat of AR coating? Any scratches yet?!
Questionable preground coffee and brewing method (my only critique), but great watch. How noticeable is the “Sinn” embossing on the strap? That’s my biggest nitpick about this strap, I’d prefer it to be as sterile as possible like the rest of their design language.
Great seeing this in a video. This is a grail for me but I do wish it was 40mm.maybe even 39mm since I have 6.5" wrists and prefer smaller lighter watches. I suspect that the design of this watch with the thin case, thinner lugs than the 104 and the all silver bezel would make this look smaller on wrist than my 104. I totally agree about external AR. When I ordered my 104 from Watchbuys I requested no AR outside. Just meant I had to wait 6 weeks or so. That was not possible with this? Too bad.
If the top gets to many scratches just take the coating off
Perfect size for your wrist,
I need this watch! Is the rubber strap very sweaty in hot/humid weather conditions? cheers and congrats on your purchase.
Bro the coffee lose it
Nice vid! Are you able to measure the crystal diameter in millimetres? Just curious about the proportion/size of the dial. .
Thanks for the great review. If you don’t mind my asking; what’s your wrist size?
Finally. A sinn u50 review. Ditch the coffee thing, its too TGV and early Bark and Jack but i'm looking forward to your next vids. Thumbs up
Regarding AR, my Sinn 856 utc, nearly 10 years old, no scratch on the glass, I wore it as a daily for quite some time, so not overly protective of it.
Loved your coffee intro man!
I'd love to get my greedy hands on one. lol
Hi Pete, between this one and the Doxa 300t, which would you go for and why?
It looks like the bezel was melted over the case. Just an amazing watch to look at.
What do you think of the moment? How is the accuracy on yours so far?
Thank you for this review and thanks for comparing to a SKX for sizevery useful.
I finally got mine last week too! Amazing watch. Except for the clasp, but whatever.
As for the paint on the hands being uneven, that’s what I thought before by just watching videos and checking out photos on internet. And the reason is that the red paint is gloss and reflect a lot of light. That’s my simple explanation but in person, the paint finish is perfect on the hands
Great review. Very pragmatic and realistic review of this watch. Much appreciated.
Came for the watch review, stayed for the humour,,
Just found your channel and subbed
All the best from across the pond. John.
Want a Sinn. Like the new 105.
Nice segment at the end lol. As for Sinn, its a nice watch, but I’m not sure about the lego indices. And what’s up with their website? It’s like they don’t want you to find their watches.
WTF, LET'S SIN(N).
Ahh, german brutal and kitch design that ends to be nice as fock, still built like a tank. Even the indices look like tanks from an 80's video game! A total "must" watch for any submariner or even any mechanic/ architect in the (reviving) brutalist architecture movement (don't look at it, sucks mostly. hahahaha).
PS Watch your back when you call anything german smooth, you may regret it! LOL
PS2 Last part was fun mate. Hope this barrel is big enough
San Martin do a pretty awesome looking sand blasted homage of this, if homage watches are your thing. Already sold out in the AliExpress 11 11 sale I noticed earlier.
I get the feeling you like this watch lol. Got to say I don't blame you, it's definitely got its own unique vibe. Yes , definitely one to add to the list. Great review Pete , really enjoyed it mate.
Thanks for the review! Really good looking watch.
Hello from Ukraine
Hex bolts FTW
that glass has way too much glare! can BARELY tell the time! i kid, i kid
it almost looks like titanium
Appreciate the full review Pete! This watch is definitely in my top 3 for future purchases as I love the unique design elements and compact dimensions. I sport a flattish 6.5 inch wrist, and figure this will fit nicely. Loved the comparison to other watches, nice touch!
Not a urinal filter!
Great watch I have it on my radar. I picked up a U1 recently, I absolutely love it and the larger size. The U50 proportions are really attractive too. Sinn are my favourite brand along with omega.
Really nice piece! Sinn is catching my eye more and more! Like the “burn barrel” idea at the end!
