Would you recommend this over Apple Watch for iPhone users?
Just a fitness tracking device. That's it . The device is borderline useless unless your phone is around and your obligated to use a streaming service if you want to listen to anything which may I remind you you have to have your phone nearby. Really disappointed considering you can store your personal music in older models. But hey if your really concerned with how your breathing pattern is then this is for you.
If fitbit OS goes away, will the watch automatically update, or will I have to upgrade to a new watch?
Fitbit seems to just give the very basics. Nothing too specific as far as data and nothing too power intensive. That is how they keep the price low and long battery life compared to others on the market. There is a reason it has 4 days battery life. Seems like they don't put too much thought into it such as the button and they seem to give empty promises. Kind of all over they place.

my Blaze lasted 2 years before it stopped charging. My versa 2 stoppe responding after 18 months. the devices aren't durable.

DC you are completely wrong about the oxygen saturation at night. You breathe much differently at night than during the day. Moreover, it could help detect apnea which could save lives. Higher the VARIABILITY greater the chance of apnea of some sort. Shouldve done your research before reviewing this feature.

I am looking at upgrading from my amazfit bip it's heart reate detection is all over the place. I like the idea of the one in the sensor in the versa 3, might wait to see if it goes any further on sale here in canada, as of today it is $230 on sale.
Great review! Thank you! It seems there is almost no point in buying Fitbit nowadays. Especially for iPhone users. Apple Watch Series 3 is still on sale often for $169-$199, and it is better in every way except battery life.

This device is absolutely useless if you don't have your phone nearby. And your phone already has the same features built in. Let's stop being nice the versa 3 is garbage and your better off buying a smartwatch. The only way you can have any sort of audio is if may I remind you is if your phone is nearby. If you want any sort of audio your forced to you use a streaming service which only Deezer allows you to listen to music offline which you have to pay monthly for premium service. And unlike previous models you can't store personal music. Btw syncing music from Deezer is a complicated process as well. The GPS built in feature also is usless because you need your phone nearby. Let's be honest if you really want a Fitbit go get a versa 2 or a actual smartwatch. This literally is just like having a wrist control for your phone when running or working out.

The Versa 3 cant display swimming stats like lap counts. Tried the Fitbit Customer Community suggestions with no luck, I give up.We own 3 fitbits in our home and this will be the last for sure. They have regressed in my opinion :(

I think fitbits are really not good. The don't last, they fade away after a few months, battery can't charge or the charger breaks, inaccurately measures steps, calories read wrong say 1000 when you've been sleeping.

You got to be joking. After 6 months you have not seen the really big flaw of this watch? The swimming feature is totally useless. It doesn't record your steps on the treadmill. You can't upload music from the computer you have to use Spotify. Okay you said the button is not good actually it's awful and it rules out trying to track something to the second with the stopwatch. The faces are too many and almost all of them are of very poor quality. The sleep feature will not work for less than 3 hours plus if you launch it manually it is not giving any analysis but it does not warn you about that. It is a terribly bad watch and overpriced. I bought one and I feel scamed.
My Versa 2 died after 16 months. The screen stopped responding to touch. They aren't durable.
