i bought this bc of a review on a rode dslr mic. he suggested adjusting the mic for -20 db then connecting to this then adjusting the cam sound recording vol to 4 (4 spaces to the right of the left side of the scale). my fiio unit is still charging but if it makes my videos sound better then there is a hack for the videographers out there, especially considering how pricey good sound can be.
