I am speechless...this guy talked for 8.52 minutes and never played a single note to show the tonal range !!! Except for a few seconds of some random notes in the beginning...Nothing at all ! Is it a HSS ? Dont know. How does the bridge pickup sound ? Dont know sir ! How are the various pickup combinations set up ? No idea gentlemen ! How does the neck pickup sound ? Er...Dunno bro ! USELESS video.

When you go from the Bullet to the Affinity the quality drops substantially. Rough frets, a truss-rod that often doesn't work. You're better off jumping from the Bullet to the Classic Vibes model. in fact the tuners on the Affinity are worse than the bullet, despite what this individual has said.

you are complaining on the plastic bcover on the back and the neck joint and those two things are just the same in the most expensive american strat, its part of the design of the model seems you dont know much about strats

I bought a 15 year old Affinity strat off ebay, to modify. I scalloped the rosewood fingerboard, replaced the die-cast block saddles with (non Fender) bent steel saddles, replaced the awful string trees with roller trees, and floated the trem. Stays perfectly in tune, even after whammy dives and extreme lifts. I actually like the hot(ish) pickups, and as I said stays in tune, so no need to change the tuners. All I need to do now is learn neo-classical shred, arpeggios, and sweeps! Don't hold your breath!

I would recommend the Indonesian crafted Affinity. You'll get a guitar with decent craftsmanship for its price range at US$ 200ish. The neck feels right and the tuner machine are better than the Chinese crafted Bullet.
Well even the fender american standard and most of the Mexicans have the same block. I guess strat players get used to it.

Had a squire once it was not great 300 for the thing. When I get good I am buying a better acoustic than what I've got now.

Some of the Affinity Strats fretboards are on par with a Fender. I got a 2002 with a polished rosewood fretboard if anybody gets the chance buy one. They are very high quality for buttons.

Congratulations on the video, a question to clarify the squier c.v. 50 s MN 2 sb: the wood of the body is pine or alder and, if it was alder, is it multi-layer glued or a single block? and the squier classic vibe 50 s FSR black limited edition the body is in NATO? Nice review mate. These Squier strats are exceptional value for the money. I’ve been playing for over 50 years and had some amazing guitars through my hands. I cut down my ‘collection’ last year and only had a ‘58 CS Les Paul left. But when I decided I needed a strat back in my life I bought one of these. An FSR shell pink ltd edition....sounds like a strat! Plays easy, once I’d polished the frets and put a new set of strings on it. There are quite a few comments about body thickness....I think they’re the same as the standards now. I had a deluxe custom shop strat for a while and I’m sure the body on that was thinner than the squier! Overall though, this one sits by my chair and gets played a lot.
If Shane was playing a $3,000 USD Custom Shop and it sounded JUST like this, many would say "I can hear the crispness of those alnico pickups" and "wow, listen to that tonewood", or my favorite "the rosewood fretboard gives it that nice dark tone." LOL.... in reality, the player is FAR more important than the guitar. Shane sounds like Shane no matter what he plays.

I am a Les Paul guy but this option is way better than the epi special II for a beginner. Way more sustain and it doesn't go out of tune as often. It also sounds better IMHO and if you get the HSS version it's even more versatile.

I have a Chinese 1998 squire affinity. It’s been in my closet since. I broke it out and although the strings are rusted it was still in tune. Now I want to mod it. Should I?
I’ve got a 20th anniversary one from 2002 made in Indonesia. Solid guitar!! Surprised how solid it was and how well it’s held up.

I just found a lefty version for my son at the local pawn shop, same color, for $90. It matches the Player series lefty tele I got him a couple months ago. Personally, I like the sound of the ceramic pickups, but if he doesn't, I've got some GFS alnico 5 pups to put in it for him. Pretty good little guitar.

Nope... This has nothing to do with my 2002 Fender Squier Affinity - 20th Anniversary series. Mine has even the real rosewood fingerboard (not that indian laurel wood). Sounds like Claptons "BLACKIE" ON ITS OWN... Probably some1 threatened the luthier with a lethal weapon while that Squier of mine was being made :) Probably that is why it is so good :D I got a 64Fender Strat, it is an expensive and high quallity guitar but, nahhhh... The squier wins, speaking in general. Would not give it for 10 Les Pauls. I had luck... A lot of luck... I saw other Squiers and simmillare... 0 compared to mine. Including Yours to Landon... Great vid man!

I like the idea that these guitars are thinner and lighter i never could under stand why guitars had to be thick and to dam heavy. I have had the best tone from lighter body's. i own a 2021 affinity tele, and the ceramic pickups sound great, you can loosen the screw at the head of the tuner and it won't bind. great review. great guitars.

Definitely a maple cap fretboard. With no skunk stripe , it's the only way to install the truss rod that I'm aware of.
I pulled my squire affinity strat out of the closet. It has been in the gig bag since 1998. The strings were rusty but still in tune. Any info and comments on if I should mod it are appreciated. I did see a full mod kit at Stewmac.com. Is it worth upgrading the pups, saddles, pots, tuners etc?

Wow guys they are really trying to sell you it sounds great a great guitar a nice looking amp at a cheap price and saying we throw in picks which for advanced players is no big deal because they are really cheap for only 219.99 but don't buy this pack if you want quality you have to pay the amp sucks and if you didn't see the distortion pedals and the reverb pedals on the shelf then look at them because thats another 300-500$ to actually play how you want
