That color is mad underrated. Butterscotch blonde is nice and all, but that silver color contrasts so well with the fretboard and pickguard.

There's a difference, the new model 2020 made in Indonesia is really bad. The fretwork is really bad with marks on the fretboard dued to the fret crowning. The setup is horrible, i found 2 pieces of sand paper as a neck shimmer inside the neck pocket. The guitar is also not cleaned, there are wood chips and plastic chips on the pickups. It looks like an $80 guitar. Quality control sucks.
I'm searching for the Chinese one now, those were really good guitars.

Shame the limited edition one was shite it had different pickups I hated it was heavyeir than my starcaster strat came with a tourtouise shell pickguard which was nice though. I should of bought the normal one dagen playing now saving for offest tele

Not the cheapest anymore. The Bullet Tele is now the cheapest, but not nearly as good.

I love that you strum the guitar in your reviews. Pretty much everyone else I watch reviewing electric guitars starts doing soloing and crazy licks and bends and I'm always like, ok that's great but how the fuck does it sound? Cause I can't do the shit you're doing but I can strum to open chords and barre chords so thank you for showing that side of the guitar.
Or if they do strum it they will do G to Cadd9, and to Dsus4. and I'm like... the fuck, show me other chords

I have the same Tele, had almost the same pro/con list, mine has a flawless body with no visible knots like yours and I wasn't sold on the ceramic pickups, they don't quite have that Tele "twang" for me. What I have since done is 1) Replaced the pickups with cheap ($10 on ebay) AlNiCo ones. 2) Replaced the pots and switch for better quality, I also used audio taper for the volume. 3) Replaced the tuners for locking ones after the gears stripped on one. 4) Installed a Tusq string tree.
After all the upgrades, this has become the go-to Tele for recording with the 90's American Tele Plus V1 left hanging on the wall.

I got an Affinity Tele made in China from 1997 that I got few years ago. It plays great and held up well. I've only had to swap the tuners recently.
Do this buy it at military if you're not worried about a name just buy the boat series buy Mexican pickups which can be bought for like $50 and a set of fender tours or upgraded tuners for another 50 and you might arrest that and it makes American Mexican for 300 bucks

Correction,since 2017,i have a affinity and mine can send the strings trough the body or bridge,drark stripe on the neck gold loggo on the head stock and behind the head stock the fender loggo,
I have an older one made in Indonesia with the string through body. It has a really great comfortable neck , I love this guitar !
The new 2020 model has a new upgraded jack, upgraded tuners, string through bridge, improved neck, it says "Telecaster" on top not tele, i havent check the pick ups yet, its a nice guitar. I got mine from Sweetwater. Just Needs a set up!
I have this guitar and I put in Seymour Duncan vintage tele pickups and it sounds really good now.
Too bad Squier gives us lefties no color options in the Affinity Tele and I don't believe they even offer a left hand version of the Bullet Tele. Such disrespect!
It just sounds on par with the high end ones, tried one irl and they feel, on par with the high end ones. Im just gonna always go for squires from now on

Great, but it still has that fugly Squire logo on the headstock - like a headstock tuner that can't be removed.
One of the best reviewers online. Once again he provers it's in the fingers.... ON the clean portion the guitar sounds out of tune... is that a chronic issue that could be cured with tuner upgrade.. Bridge pickup screams !

I'm 8 days in on learning my lefty telecaster, the neck on mine has a darker shade to it though, absolutely loving it!
I didn't like it. It sounded thin and the frets were very sharp. I did however pickup a player series and I was impressed its just as good as my American Professional. The players are really cheap right now.
Man, it's totally crazy, can a guitar THAT cheap sound thaaaaaaat good??? D: I mean, I'm a low cost gear fan, I have a SUB bass and I love it hehe...
in my opinion, the neck pickup is best for rock + metal, the bridge pickup is best for country, and both at the same time are best for blues

Just got the limited edition affinity tele with the matching headstock. Put $500 worth of upgrades in it. Killer guitar. Weighs in at 7.5 pounds.
Too much elitism in the guitar world. I wouldn't change this guitar because I love how muddy the neck pickup sounds, perfect for my lofi projects.
