Thanks for the excellent thorough demo , i'm thinking of getting this. Not as a first guitar , just because i don't own a Fender currently. I have the same Tele, had almost the same pro/con list, mine has a flawless body with no visible knots like yours and I wasn't sold on the ceramic pickups, they don't quite have that Tele "twang" for me. What I have since done is 1) Replaced the pickups with cheap ($10 on ebay) AlNiCo ones. 2) Replaced the pots and switch for better quality, I also used audio taper for the volume. 3) Replaced the tuners for locking ones after the gears stripped on one. 4) Installed a Tusq string tree. After all the upgrades, this has become the go-to Tele for recording with the 90's American Tele Plus V1 left hanging on the wall.

That color is mad underrated. Butterscotch blonde is nice and all, but that silver color contrasts so well with the fretboard and pickguard.

There's a difference, the new model 2020 made in Indonesia is really bad. The fretwork is really bad with marks on the fretboard dued to the fret crowning. The setup is horrible, i found 2 pieces of sand paper as a neck shimmer inside the neck pocket. The guitar is also not cleaned, there are wood chips and plastic chips on the pickups. It looks like an $80 guitar. Quality control sucks. I'm searching for the Chinese one now, those were really good guitars.
Still sounds amazing Shame the limited edition one was shite it had different pickups I hated it was heavyeir than my starcaster strat came with a tourtouise shell pickguard which was nice though. I should of bought the normal one dagen playing now saving for offest tele

I am looking for a Tele and as I am on a rather tight budget I was looking for Squiers. I have the feeling that this guitar sounds quite sharp. Is this true? Also, there seems to be very little sustain, especially for a Telecaster. Or i that just me again? My plan was to swap the pickups, bridge and tuners anyway so I am hesitating start with an Affinity or a Classic Vibe. Pickups I would consider are the 51 Nocasters. Cheers and thanks!

Just bought a 2020 edition in butterscotch, needs a set up, a couple of high frets which I can live, apart from that it plays and sounds pretty good but got to say I'm disappointed with the butterscotch finish, much thicker up around the neck area so much so you can't see the wood grain like you can on the rest of the body, was going to send it back but to be honest it plays well enough and that's the main thing.

I’m just starting guitar and I got a Butterscotch Tele and so far I love it
Rippin it up with a Squier Telecaster today. What do you think of modern day Squier? Are they better then they were or do they still suck?
I bought a Squier affinity tele on black friday. I to noticed the neck pickup had a lower volume and darker then the bridge and noticed it was far away from the strings. I opened it up and it's screwed to the bottom of the pickup cavity with no way of adjustment. Then i noticed that replacement pickups were adjustable. I told myself, it can't be that simple could it? So I took a couple of pickup springs I had laying around and installed them under each tab of the pickup, so as I turned the screws in and out, it adjusted the pickup height. I adjusted the stock neck pickup to about the same distance from the strings as the bridge pickup, wow. The volume is now close the what the bridge pickup is and the tone got a little more twang in it (brighter). I think the problem is the neck pickup in these Squire's are just mounted to low. I will not be upgrading my pickups.

A telecaster is very well known for its clean sound, but your clean sound is very weak and muddy and with a high gain sound it doesnt matter what guitar you play, they all sound the same aaaaaaand i would tune the guitar before I play properlybut this guitar is really good, I have one in limited imperial blue
