My carbon light is stii on
*_HELLO. IT'S BEEN ALMOST 4 YEARS SINCE YOUR REVIEW, SO I DOUBT YOU'LL REPLY TO ME. BUT, DOES THIS AIR PURIFIER AFFECT ANY OF YOUR HOME FRAGRANCES?_*
about to buy one. thanks for your review.
Thanks so much...have had a 300 that wasnt working for over a year. I had changed filters and cleaned the inside and when i put it back together
only the blue fan light would flash but never start. You mentioned that it happened to you when you dropped/banged it, but to continue to keep removing/installing the filter door. I tried that and one time the lights went on..so i had a closer look and found that there is a tiny switch that is along the bottom filter rail that is supposed to be pushed down when you insert the filter. It was not going down so i took it out and taped it down...it actually does nothing now but i can still turn off/on with the main switch. Would not have found it if you didnt mention this. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Nice review, but I cant seem to find anyone who owns this as suffers from chronic allergies...
I have one that works for 10 minutes then stops with all fan speed lights flashing. If anyone knows why I'd be grateful, I've changed both filters.
Curious. Is it easy to clean the inside? that is in addition to cleaning the air filters, are all the parts exposed for easy cleaning and wiping down?
Très bonne machine que je recommande à 100%...
Bought one of these based on other comments and reviews on amazon, to be honest it's a waste of money, either that, or I have really bad luck with these units, I'm on my 2nd one now.
This was what I posted on amazon
Despite the fan being on level 2 constantly (automatic mode is a waste of time), there's no difference in air quality at all.
Infact, there's dust on the unit itself, which means it can't be clearing the air very well.
So I had the unit replaced because it just wasn't cleaning the air
This unit is the same, it suffers from so many annoying issues, too
For instance, the fan, despite being set on level 1 manually, it constantly revving up and down every 7-14 seconds, it does this all the time
If left on automatic, it will set itself to level 1, then suddenly ramps up to level 3, which is considerably noisier, for no reason at all
The indicator which is supposed to measure air quality level goes from blue (Good) to red (Bad) in an instant and again, for no reason.
I bought the large version of this unit, but there's dust all over the unit and pretty much everything else in my room (double bedroom, roughly 12'x12')
I've removed the filter after 3 months and used one of those air blasters and hardly any dust at all came out of it.
Completely waste of money really, cost me nearly £190 and my £80 filtrete machine did a far superior job and was quieter.
have you noticed on Turbo it makes a sorta wwwwd wd wd wd wd wd wd wd noise? And if you look in the outlet vent when on low does the wheel seem slightly wobblyish?
Does it make a hissing noise with the ionizer on? (and also off?). I've got an DX55 today and the fan noise is acceptable but the high-frequency noise is absolutely horrible, can't stay in the same room with it. Wondering if this is a modell issue or just mine...
How much dust did the Heapa filter collect over the months, was it noticeable or not really ? just got one 2 weeks a go, I like it but want to make sure its going to do its job before my 30 days are up, going on my 4th surgery for sinuses so I need to know if its good at collecting dust.
Hi i put a new carbon filter in but it still shows needs changing ?? orange light ??
Thanks for the review Gareth. I've reviewed the AeraMax DX5 on my site and like it quite a lot. I must look into the DX95. I've a small bit of hay fever myself so I'm happy to do anything that will help other sufferers. It's funny though as I always think of Fellowes as more of a paper shredder company but they do make fantastic air purifiers. Anyhow thanks again for the review.
Thanks a lot
Best video on this machine Gareth.
I couldn't understand why the AS sensor was triggering amber till watching that particular part of your vid and was convinced the machine had a fault. Still, it is a tad over sensitive and up to an hour to filter chemicals back out?
Very helpful anyway.
Hey, great video
Was wondering though, does the Ionized Field (PlasmaTrue) affect electronics if they're close by the Air Purifier?
thanks very much for the review! apparently you're the only one on the net that shows the intake and outlet. I was wondering because I was looking to put one against a wall
thank you - just cleaned the filter for the first time and was expecting the reset to be easier than this
HEPA light does not turn off. I guess just ignore it?
Got a 200 model five years ago (!) and it's been absolutely fantastic. I run it at full blast while I sleep, with the air aimed right in my face and sleep like a baby. It's worked better than any air cleaner I've ever owned and I've tried them all. The only problem I've ever had was a bad power switch but I just replaced it myself. Easy for someone handy with DIY electronics. Not recommended for everyone, of course. But that's the only problem I've had and that was nearly five years into owning it. So I'm thrilled with that reliability. Even having it all apart to work on it, the guts look great, almost new, and very well built. Could not be happier with it, honestly. It's just perfect.
1:51 "You will notice that the arrows on your true HEPA filter point towards the filter drawer." Huh? The filter is IN the drawer. How about - which way is the arrow supposed to point?
Ahhhh my god!! Bizarre
Thank you I got the carbon light to go off!
Mine is 3 years ago. Used constantly during the winter. No filter lights ever came on. The HEPA filter is see through clean. The carbon filter looks very dirty. I just ordered the 4 pack of carbon filters. I just don’t see any need to change the HEPA. Looks like the carbon filter is catching everything. What’s wrong?
Will add that it is a well made machine. Only noisy when the amber and then the red light comes on for max fan. Otherwise, very quiet for sleeping.
Thank you SO MUCH! This video was so helpful! We opened it up and realized we had not taken the plastic off the filters that came with the machine. We are laughing so hard right now! Can't thank you enough. Let the clean air began.

Hi! I got a new aeramax 300. When I switch it on, it does not work. All lights turn on and then turn off, and the fan speed indicators start flashing.
