Sooo is there a lighter shade then 02 ivory for NUETRAL pale skin?
Fairly light and fair ivory are wayyyy to dark ....
Wow, Shellbey. I really hear your TN twang. Which I like because I’m from Virginia. I love watching your videos. Today you’re so much more relaxed. I could not do what you do and I think you do a great job. Lots of good information and helpful tips. Thanks for being honest and fun to watch!
And old post I know, but, what color to pick to get a just a bit lighter then the medium beige I was told get a long time ago? The color in it self is good and suits me, BUT, it’s a 1-2 shades to dark to look really good between my face and neck. What’s the next lighter shade to pick for me to achieve that?
I got matched to light beige , what undertone is that?
I am yellow undertone and tried light but it looks a lil dark 😒 I tried once on a neutral undertone liquid foundation and it looks so gray. Now I don’t know if maybe I could try golden fair 4 or golden ivory 7 🤔 is so hard picking shades online 😭
Thank you for the informative video. I have very yellow undertones and I'm a NARS stromboli in the ALDW and Mac nc30-35. I bought the golden medium colour matching online as due to lockdown everything's closed but I think it may not be warm or yellow enough! I saw there's a new shade Godken nude 16 I didn't know if that might be any better especially if I tan?
Incredibly helpful thank you, your accent 🥰
Thank you for this very in depth video. I know they have since redone the packaging. Have the colors themselves changed? I was confident that I was fairly light, until I looked at the store and it was sitting in the warm section.
This was helpful! Thank you : )
I’m golden fair I love the yellow undertone
Sometimes you might have to mix 2 to get the right color. I use Fair in the original formula & find I have to mix in a little Medium to get my exact shade. I do have fair skin with pink undertones but the Fair on it’s own, seems too pale on me. Plus, your skin does change a bit with the seasons. I’m 57 & have been using this product for at least 20 years now. Can’t use Fairly Light as it’s too beigey for my skin tone. Also, I think you are mixing up the pink undertones in skin with Rosacea. If you have redness, this Foundation should cover it or use the Bisque concealer first. That is how they always demonstrated it on QVC. Don’t go darker with Foundation just use your natural color for your skin shade. Remember, your face should match the tone of your neck or you will look like a party clown.
Are neutral ivory and medium beige the same shade essentially?
Can you make an updated one because I plan on using bare minerals for the first time but they no longer have N or C or W on their original loose powder 😞 they just have numbers going 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, etc
So they don’t let me know if it’s neutral or what. I feel so lost. Plus I can never find a shade for my skin which is a cool olive skin tone! They always advertise for warm olive but completely neglect the cool olive undertone. Olive is not just warm but cool too. So I can’t find any foundation that tailors to my fair with cool lavender/cool yellow olive undertone. All the yellows are warm. It’s more complex than that. I’m a painter so I can see more colors in the skin than the average eye. I got my MFA so we were always studying color theory. What shade would you recommend for my fair cool lavender/cool yellow olive undertone?
This was the most helpful video. Thanks
What would you suggest for a natural pale redhead lol I'm pale naturally but I want a shade that will give me slight more color instead of bringing out my pale but also not too much of a difference where it doesn't match my neck. Does that make sense lol
I'm really dark complected (in Summer and I do believe I have American Indian ancestors), but not tan, so I usually stick with my medium beige...I have purple and darkness under my eyes, does that mean that's the wrong shade of undertone for me?
Glad you give credence to the fact that one's skin can cause oxidation-- it is not always the problem with the makeup formula itself.
Is golden fair lighter than fairly light? Fairly light is a bit too dark for me in winter, but I have warm undertones. So I don't think that the pink in fair is working for me.. What do you suggest? 😘
I am here from Emilynoel channel. Great helpful video !!!
I am so happy I found your channel!! I’m wanting to try these products and you have been so helpful!!! Great video!
Hey! This product actually ranked No.1 for the "dermatologist suggested” beauty taste on our app Glamai! 🥇💕 You can get personalized recommendations on #sephora products with AI! Come and check it out 😲
Honestly I see people rocking it. Tried it today and couldn't get it. I'm so sad..
I would use a big fluffy brush, the product can build up in a kabuki brush.
I’m oily to combo but prefer original. More natural glowy finish. I wore it for almost 12 hrs working on flight (or even more hours i’m not sure) and my skin doesnt even get oily at all for some weird reason. So.. awesome!
What blush do you have on?
Great video! Finally someone who knows how to use it properly. I love my BM original foundation x
the biggest biggest problem I had in the past, when I thought i hated powder foundation, was that i wasn't buffing the powder quite enough to really emulsify the minerals and make it creamy. I also used to go in with way too much at once, it works perfectly if you build up coverage slowly
What a fantastic review. Just looks like flawless skin
I'm oily combo so I can be dry and oily at the Same time. So I'm torn between the matte and original. . but it seems the majority who has tried both prefer the original.. Even the oily combo girls. But they make sure to wear a primer and add setting spray. I think it would work for original.
I’ve tried sooooo many foundations... and by far the bareminerals original foundation is my favorite! It gives such an amazing finish. I have normal to dry skin as well :)
Loved this thank you!!
Uuund angefixt ... heijaaa, werde ich mich wohl mal matchen lassen. Schön, dass du zurück bist! ❤️
It's one of my Holy Grail foundations and yes it looks amazing on camera! ♥
glad to see youre back.
Great Video! I did try this foundation, loved the look but the bismuth oxycloride was a problem. I am currently using the mineral foundation from nude by nature - I like that one too. If you would ever try it, I´d be happy to know what you think of it.
Did you try the laura mercier mineral foundation? What do you think is better for acne skin?
Love uuu xoxo
Omg I’ve missed your videos! ❤️
Oh, I also remember people asking me if I went to the beach when I wore it. Granted, the shade oxydized on me, so it became a teeny weeny darker than my natural skintone, but I always had the feeling they were referring to the glow and the fact that it gives such a supple, boosted appearance to the skin. Again, the price tag is what stops me.
I tried this foundation years ago, because I bought a try-on set. I loved it too, although it became a little bit oily throughout the day. My biggest concern is enlarged pores (and the fact that I kind of refuse to wear a primer on daily bases), and I don't remember it emphasizing them. Contrary to that, I remember the glow taking attention away from those ugly ass pores. LOL - The only thing that stopped me from buying it again was the price tag.
This looks so good! Now i have to get it :)
One of the only videos I found that actually mentions pores being emphasized with the Original powder .
the powder foundation is too yellow for you I think your color is MEdium Beige 12:). you're are naturally beautiful so no need for make-up at all btw,. you're right- the liquid shade is also slightly too yellow, but it evened out nicely with the bronzer, and texture does looks better on you. more radiant. gorgeous. however, with the powder one try the peachy tones next time. ( neutral medium beige12 with peach undertones). & THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!
Watch Shelley Wilson she used to work for bareminerals and shows how to use the powder. Most people use it wrong. 1: use very little. 2: swirl for a while so nothing is left in the cap. 3: take your TIME buffing it in to the skin. After watching her videos I LOVE the way it looks on me now. https://youtu.be/dmUV1O_oL2A
You're naturally beautiful 😍
What other products are you using in this video ? The lashes and lip combo looks great 💕
Does the powder foundation itches?
It does for me..maybe I'm applying it wrong
What lashed are you wearing? You look gorgeous
The liquid foundation looks great on you👌
Excited to try this, bareminerals has always been a solid brand.
You look amazing and your curls 😍😍
This is off topic but you resemble a younger Jennifer Connelly 😆 Anyways, great video!
Wish you would have used it more towards the center of your face where your freckles are so that we could see the difference. 😃
I love bareminerals, I really do. It can do a lot. I don't use any other foundation. But there is such a steep learning curve. It drove me nuts. You have to apply the right skincare/primer, use the right brush and apply it with the right technique. A lot of people don't like this foundation and I completely understand.
I don't prefer full coverage but have achieved it in the past.
It's super finicky, in the past I simply changed my moisturizer and the foundation didn't work the same. . But when you hit all the marks it looks amazing.
I get full coverage with mine just fine. You have to moisturize enough & make sure you buff it the right way. I don't get nearly as many break outs on my face w/mineral powders like I do with all that liquid crap full of silicones.
I use a large kabuki stippling brush to buff on my dry skin and it works brilliantly to deposit the product evenly without looking cakey and dry. All I have on underneath is moisturizer- no primer needed imo. Then I put cream or liquid products on top and it always gives the most beautiful natural but full coverage look (I didn't think it was possible but it does).
PLEASE help me! :-) i finally found a color that matches me and i can t seem to make this original powder work.. i 'buff' it in but i always get spots where the product is GONE because of the buffing so it kinda looks like i have patches or scuffs' where there is no powder... i can t seem to get this even.. i tried it over my Skinnies spf and i tried it over my Ordinary moisturiser.. nothing seems to make it blend in.. ANY help?? thank you ;-)
Love your eyeshadow. What are you wearing?
I think you’re wearing the wrong shade, honestly. Maybe more of a medium shade. Much love.
I feel like all the buffing needed for application, can’t be good for dry skin.
Sorry I’m late on this, but I think I can get BM to be medium to full if I spend a ton of time blending (aka special occasions). My skin looks terrible but BM is probably the best overall foundation for me. Not sure what my skin type is though. Anyway thanks for the review, love your channel
I actually think this looks really pretty on you
Okay, it seriously looks like there’s zero coverage. Pass.
I have been wearing bareMinerals original foundation for over 20 years. Are use only original products except for my concealer. My recommendation is anything that you’re going to conceal with the liquid concealer do it last because powder products tend to want to grab onto that also if you have dry skin make sure you moisturize and prime before I have oily so I just use moisturizer that’s late and make sure it’s dry before I apply my foundation my recommendation is anything that you’re going to conceal with a liquid concealer do it last because powder products tend to want to grab onto that. If you have dry skin make sure you moisturize and prime before . I have oily so I just use moisturizer that’s light and make sure it’s dry before I apply my foundation . I use an It kabuki brush to apply my foundation it seems to give me more even coverage ,but the one that you’re using I do use that if I feel like I need more coverage. I know that Shelby has a channel where she shows it more full coverage but I like light coverage foundation so you might check her out and she can show you how best to get a more full coverage look😊
This foundation is PHENOMENAL if applied correctly! The more you buff the prettier it is. After your natural oils mix its even prettier. I've been using BM since it was available. I use IT foundation as well as to face born this way. I rotate depending on needs for the day. BM is my go to favorite
You dont have any blemishes so what did you expect it to do?
I use this foundation with Sigma F82 Round kabuki brush. Works way better for me than with Bareminerals brushes.
That's a new brush and received HORRIBLE reviews; there's a fluffier original brush that nice, sheds a bit, but good!
Not only you didn’t applied it correctly, from the beginning, but you buff twice on the jawline only, not on the entire face,, so that you avoided to buff the nose and under the eyes area.
I thought that the brush you are using was for their liquid foundation.
