Dropping chains is a chainline issue with your setup. Some cassettes may have a tooth profile which resists dropping (Eagle uses a NW 50/51T) but ultimately you cannot blame the cassette if your chainline is sh!t. Shorter chainstays are more susceptible to this issue. Looking at your setup and how quick the chain drops, I'm going to throw a guess out there and say that is a 2x crankarm, converted to 1x without using chainring spacers.
my 2020 straight SLX 12 speed groupset also drop chains at half back pedal so no blame at ztto. 1,500kms on the cassettes. Chains are still at 90% health upon inspection by our bike mechanic.
I dunno man.... I've been riding MTB seriously hardcore for around 27 years and don't recall ever having the need to backpedal any more than around 1/8 turn of the cranks. I guess everybody is different.
Allot of Sram and Shimano 10-12 speed cassettes do that...its due to the extreme chain line angles..(chain dropping down cogs) Sucks about the tooth
My SRAM 12 speed derails in 1st gear if I back pedal.
Hi I just had the exact same experience with the same cassette today. The 11-50t ztto hg 11 speed. 2 teeth just broke off at the first alu sprocket(32t). What did you do / write to get a refound on it from the seller?
Yap I also have trust issues when it comes to allu cassette materials even in big brands. Better stick to my 11-52 steel cog.
Larger cogs are used for climbs. Why back pedal when climbing?

the gap between yr top jockey wheel and the cassette is way too much.loosen out the b screw and try this backpeddling again.
My kids who ride walmart bikes with coaster brakes asked me why I back pedal.. just saying 😌
Nicereview..but for the simple logic why chain drops mostly from big gap numbers is that..2t to max of 3t distance is smooth..comparing the gear smooth ratios from 11t-36t have no problems on shifting.. so itsnot a good idea on making a big gap numbers... during the 80s -90s japanese dont even tried using big gap numbers..its a sales marketing fails when they try to ruin the old stuff...but.. why they didnt invent a rear fd shifter for big gap cogs? Hmmm..
Try the SROAD version. SROAD is an OEM. ZTTO occasionally rebrands SROAD cassettes, but the version on your bike is something else.
Thanks. I was considering ZTTO to replace my GX Eagle cassette as it is so expensive. With your bike you can replace it with anything HG Shimano, SRAM, or SunRace, which I've had no issues.

Sunrace components are not worth the price savings. Cheap, garbage components, horrific to hear you all excited about them. I hate it and the adapter gets stuck every time.

Got exactly that set up, but the derailleur doesn't have the horizontal range to cover the largest 50 tooth cog, the low gear adjustment screw is right out, any ideas?
