Do Not Buy Cheap Chinese 11-50 cassette (READ Description 1st) VG Sport, Sunshine, Bolany, Ztto.
I referenced your videos several times last year during my first bike build so I owe you a big thanks for all your help. One clarification, how can I tell if my freehub is the type that requires the 1.8mm spacer? Thanks in advance for you help.
this Sunrace MX8 cassette fell apart in 2 month of use, see my video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZjjLX-0O8E its GARBAGE
How many Kilometers/miles do your cassettes last until they are worn?
Hi!can u do it a video vith oil lubes?
ive used sunrace a view time and its just cheap material. i broke 2 in less than a year.
Hello, does the black finish/paint flake-off easily during use or does it wear more subtly, like anodizing ( I know it's no anodizing but Shimano uses phospate). Is the black paint chemically bonded or more on the surface and temporary?
Bottom line? Wich is better, Sunrace or DeoreXT? I need to buy one of the two.
Great comparison! Lately I've just gotten a new bike, it comes with a 3x9. I'm actually thinking of changing to a 2x but I'm not sure if the hub can fit in a 11 cassette. Is there any measurement that I can do? Maybe from the dropout?
would you suggest sunrace over shimano and what number teeth?
Will this work with Hope pro 4 with shimano/Sram freehub and do I need the spacer provided by hope?
Will this cassette fit on a bike with a 135mm dropout? I'm rebuilding my old bike and want to change from the existing 3x7 to a 1x11. But my bike has only 135mm rear dropouts
Is this compatible with the SLX Derailleur? Please help anyone.
@ 4:22” could you please tell me which shimano freehub that is on the rear wheel you are placing the Sunrace cassette onto? Thanking you very much have for you’re attention✊.
my current one is shimano cs hg50-9, Can I upgrade to 11-42?
Sorry for being late at asking, but does it work with SRAM X1
hey,who the fuck cares about the box and source countries, get to the friggin review ,clownso!
Will the 11speed 11-46T) fit in a 135mm axle?
May I enquire how you determine that a spacer is needed? Some of my Shimano / Sram standard 11-speed cassette shafts, indeed, do happen to require a spacer for 11-speed cassettes, while others don't. Very confusing. Are there different standards for non-XD(R) 11-speed hubs, or am I missing something? Thank you.
Remember whatever you weigh it has to be on a hard surface as it alters the reading. Never put a blanket or cover.
Hi, is it possible to use 2x sistem with 26-36 cranckset and this 11-46T cassette?
this just popped up on my feed, I had a 11 XT kit and felt that the gearing is off. that Sunrace cassette would've fixed the issue!
I've gotten 3 seasons on my Sunrace 11-46 on a 2019 gt sensor.....still shifts great!
Great video! What freehub body would fit a shimano slx 11speed cassette? I’m new to biking.. would appreciate a link to it. Thanks mate
Hi sir I have the same specs as yours, slx with sunrace cassette but i have 36t is that fine for11-46 ?
Thanks for the video! I from in Brazil and I will need change my k7, after this video I will stay with my SLX 11-46, the stagerring is what answer me better.
STX o SLX????
My 2018 Trek Fuel Ex 8 brought me here. Just ordered the Shimano 11 46 (11 speed) to go with a 34t chainring with a GX derail err Tired of walking my bike up the super inclines. I think I'm going to peddle up now while on the saddle 🤔
I’ve been using a shimano 11-42 cassete, 11 speed on my SLX M7000, 34t front, and can’t complain! I’m 37 years old, fit, and my area is fairly flat though. Greetings from Brazil!
I'm looking forward to this upgrade as I just ordered mine currently using xt m8000.
Shimano bases their gearing on mathematics not visual...
How did those iFx cranks hold up?
I ordered Sunrace MX3 11-42 Casette, as replacement 11-36 Sram Casette - Because i'm not sure my rear derailleur can handle 46T model... Any modification for Your derailleur, or mount, to handle this 46T cog? Or this bike come with 46T as standard, just cog replacement? I've got: Sram X0 Long Cage model.
Is 11-42 enough going 1x setup? Or should I go 11-46... Im currently using 3x10 11-36 deore
how does it ride thinking of swapping
Shimano ir sunrace?
I have one sunrace cassette in the fleet. No problems so far whatsoever. They are coming on strong at their price point.
Nice video 👍 I have that Sunrace casette and I have the problem that I broke the smallest 11T cog. Because you have both Shimano and Sunrace I would like to know does that Shimanos 11T fit to Sunrace and vice versa? It would be really helpful information because I can't find spare parts for Sunrace anywhere.
It's interesting you consider the Sunrace gearing superior to the Shimano.  I could understand what you mean, on paper - the gaps between the upper cogs are smaller with the Sunrace than they are the Shimano.  HOWEVER, I probably use the middle portion +/- a cog or two most often, and that's where Shimano has 'better' (closer) gearing than the Sunrace.  Granted, the lowest four cogs are more evenly spaced on the Sunrace, but I"m curious how often folks are in those gears?  When I need a low gear, I am in that gear and not likely to change until the slope substantially changes.  Travelling on a trail, where I hope to spend more of my time riding, those middle gears get used a LOT.Just a different perspective.
Overall spacing is better the gap on the shimano is HUGE. Have you tried the sunrace 11/46 with sram direct mount narrow wide front chainring ????? It’s really nice 👍
Good stuff man
Sunrace MX8 cassette fell apart in 2 month of use, see my video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZjjLX-0O8E its GARBAGE
It seems like you dont use the biggest cog, i think you are a powerful rider and that biggest is just an extra weigh. Well come to think it a few years ago 42 tooth on a bike was unimaginable and insane. Now people got so weak they need 50 tooth cassette. LOL
de-clean?
Does it wobble a bit on freewheel?
Wow 4-5000 miles! I have run sunrace 11-46t (black) for about 5 years. They provide good compatibility with Shimano components but I mainly run them ‘cause they are fairly light (for the price) and they’re black and I like the look. I mainly ride off road but am only getting 2500/3000 miles depending on season. I also clean at least twice a week. Please say that your a complete roadie and ride in perfect conditions all year round or I definitely need to have a word with my suppliers.
That cassette looks absolutely Mint still & it’s got between 4000&5000 miles wow! Well I know which cassette I’m gonna buy next, Thanks for the upload 🔥 Muchás graciás!
I have Cannondale SuperX with a Force long cage derailleur and have been running the sister gear set from Box Components in an 11/46 size for a long time now with no shifting issues at all and several other people are running SRAM Rival and Force long cage derailleurs on 11/50 Sunrace cassettes with great results.
4,000 to 5,000 miles and never cleaned it? If that cassette could speak hehe. I enjoy cleaning my bikes thoroughly. Spent about 4 hours cleaning my race bike 2 days ago.
📝
I have a 10 speed 11/32 from Sunrace, very pleased.
Seems like you hardly use the 42t??
Got the same cassette. Smallest cog was bent upon arrival. But i had an extra. Its been fine for a few hundred miles, so far.
