Hi I have this same exact one and I’m trying to play it through my new amp, but it’s not working. The amp is a gamma 50 watt and the amp it self definitely works(tested through Bluetooth) but when I plug the amp in to my guitar it doesn’t work. I’m using the cord that came with the guitar too, is that the problem? Because it provides feedback when it’s not plugged into the guitar but not when it is plugged in. Please helpanyone

Is it just me or does it sound a bit high register sound. Full Body? Maybe it is my speakers or computer. I guess I will have to try one live to be fair.

Great guitar I went to the store and tried one and I'm kind of picky about my guitars but I liked this one so well I bought two of them LOL. By the way thanks for all of your reviews on gear you do a most excellent job much better than most of the others out there I always look for your reviews first thanks for doing what you do

I have the same guitar in right hand drive I bought mine second hand (pawnshop) with the original hard shell case, both in near pristine condition for 300 dollars American. Looking back it was a steal I love mine will never part with

Anyone tried the new Epiphone Inspired by Gibson J200? Just wondering what it sounds like compared to this one?
I saw one today at my local pawnshop and that's why I'm here. Always liked the looks , wonder if you still have after all these years. Guitars come and go with me, then I regret a few. Cheers

Yes. If you put too much varnish or polyurethane on a guitar top it will smother the tone. I have an EJ-200sce, and I am disappointed with the acoustic sound. It does not sound anywhere near as loud acoustically as it should.
You played the Gibson so much harder than the Epiphone so it's hard to tell
For that amount of money you can get about 3 equally good guitars.
If I had 5000 and more to spend on a guitar I'd find a luthier in France or Spain where I Live. Tones are not comparable. Now the Epi is enough for me.
I won't say that there is no difference but I have the idea that you strum less hard on the Epiphone than on the Gibson . Further : I recently bought an Epiphone ej200ce , made in China with Fishmann pickup and electronica. Now , there stood 4 the same guitars ( didn't wanted to know were they made while I knew they build them in several countrys ) . So I tried them all and there were big differences between the sound of them . Just like you said , from the other 3 the sound came more from the strings but the Chinese one had a beautiful deep sound with beautiful low tone . Also I was glad with the Fishmann electronics and PU because thats terrific stuff to amplifie an acoustic guitar. So I ask myself : those guitars which are build in Korea , Indonesie ( the one you had ) and now China . Is this coincidence that the China made sounded so much better? I don't know what they do in China but the sound of that guitar was so much better then the other ones So , that huge price gap between the Gibson and my Epiphone is for me unacceptable . Marketing and name does a lot .
I own an EJ and I use it all the time to do my campfire strumming or to take out to play elsewhere. If I owned the SJ I wouldn’t take it outside my music room.
compare the Epiphone EJ200 to the Gibson J200 is no fair comparison, the EJ200ce is no solid Epiphone J-200 has solid body as the J-200 Gibson, the EJ-200 is around the 1000,00 Euro price point.
You could tell this guy did not play the song with the same enthusiasm as with the gibson. IT sounded on purpose which is sad for to do this just because of a name
I have one of these epiphone and I love it and just because something named Gibson it doesn't mean it's better . Get good strings and U will be amazed how good it can sounds .
Always loved the look of the j200 but the sounds never impress me as much as the sound of a high end martin guitar
Gibson is ridiculous with their absurd prices.Epiphine and Fender are leaps and bounds for my money much better.
Do you guys do a setup on guitars before they leave your store?
Got a beat up '84-84 Takamine that kills the 5000 dollar Gibson guitar. Butas allways. Everything depends on the player.

IDK, might just be me, but I feel your playing had more attack, more feel on the Gibson versus the Epi where you almost looked like you held back. That could have affected the tone difference we hear.

The cutaway ALONE makes all of this an apples-to-oranges comparison. Why wouldn't you compare two of the same body shapes?
Tremendous differences in sound. $4,700 is a huge difference too, though. If I were a better player and had the means I definitely would get the Gibson. Just a more satisfying and inspiring guitar. In fact, the J-200 may be my new favorite "I want it" guitar. Move over Martin, Taylor, and whatever. NOTE: I have just learned that the current version of the Epiphone is solid wood construction and now costs closer to $900. Therefore this video is no longer fully applicable.
