SO MANY SHORTS! So this, as always, is a list that we can always expand. While these have been MY favorite shorts for adventures over the past year, what are YOU using that maybe didn't make the list? Let us know in the comments!
What is your height, weight, and waist size. and it looks like you wear roughly a medium in all of these, is that correct?
+1 for lululemon's shorts, they're awesome! Also just ordered the session shorts, going to try them out. Great video as always!
Hey Ethan. I bought the Lululemon shorts based on your review. Hands down the best shorts I've ever worn. I tried them out on a fell race over here in Ireland last weekend. Even when scrambling over gnarly rocks and downhills with my phone in the liner pocket they were as snug as a bug and really allowed me to "flow along". My wife also thinks they're dandy on me so win win. Superb!
Bought the Lulu's. Nice materials and fit sorta. liner was too tight on the junk.
How about the shorts ON
So @TheGingerRunner blocked me because I disagree with you politically? That is sad. I still like you as a person and your videos helped inspired me to start running. But over different view over opinion you block me. Tolerant.
At those prices they better last longer then a year. My newest shorts are at least four years old and came from target and are as comfortable as they were new. That said boy how id love to get a couple pair of really good shorts for long runs and races where the storage would be nice!
Man, i love your videos! I own a pair of the Tempo. I bought them on sale based on the selling point "they don't chafe." Obviously like most shorts there is a probably a point when they will chafe, but these shorts are golden for me for 30 miles on the trail. Super lightweight, BUT super expensive brand new.
During the hot and humid summer we had in Charlotte, I found myself reaching for Myles Apparel Switchback shorts. They aren't very innovative in terms of storage as they feature two front pockets but the right front pocket is actually two pockets with the inner pocket featuring a zipper and large enough to cram my phone inside and stow it. The left pocket has a little catch inside for keys or wireless headphones case/carrier. I also like Birddogs gym shorts when the weather is more comfortable. They have four pockets, two of which are zippered and sit on the side of the hip, are stretchy and are suitable for runs, gym work, dog walks, recovery days with bees on a patio, etc.
So many new shorts options to try, thank you!
Thank you, I am a fan of the Patagonia Strider Pro shorts!
I've got a big drawer full of shorts, but bizarrely enough they're all different brands & models to yours, TNF, Inov-8, Salomon, Gore, Montane. Good to see your brands, some of which I'd not heard of before
Hmmmmm, Tracksmith.
TFW you get thru most of the top 10 feeling a little sad only for your faves to pop up in the number one slot.
Birddogs shorts are amazing. I’ve had mine for four years and they’re still in decent shape. I’ve worn them on almost every long run and every race I’ve been in since getting them. The storage is great with two regular shorts pockets and two zipper pockets on the sides/back. Definitely check them out.
You should check out Ten Thousand Session or Interval shorts. They are game changer
Right this may be a really dumb question but I'm putting it out there. IF a pair of shorts has a liner like a pair of briefs lined into the short, are you suppose to wear additional underwear underneath? Or is it a case of the liner IS the underwear that is built in? I don't have too many running friends that I actually run with, let alone are into the gear that goes with it, so kinda been going at it alone and feel like I've missed something. Ive been wearing additional underwear but thinking I'm not supposed to, as the additional material around the jewels can cause some serious chaffing.
My favorite shorts have been the lululemon surge shorts 4 and 6 inch. They last me forever I’ve had mine for about 2 years now and they look brand new! Great for wearing casual and running ofc! An amazing pair of shorts totally worth the price point
Does kim have a list of top shorts? I’d love to hear about women’s gear!
Please review BEARBOTTOM Atlas Short 5.5"
Will you do a review on Tachuntfish shorts?
Glad I waited on the Tacticals. I would not have been a happy person if they started pulling right away.
Do the Set shorts run a little slim compared to Foundations?
I bought my first ten thousand shorts (interval) cuz of this guy right here. Let me tell u he was 100% right Best shorts I’ve ever had and now I own 5 pairs and more being ordered. Thanks for another great review
Set shorts look slim on you
Russell ftw
Great review as always, will you review Virus Air Flex Board Shorts?
Did you just casually say you don't know how to swim?
I have some interval shorts. Actually I have two pairs and I use them more often than my Virus. Idk if I’d get any other training short tbh, the interval is really all you need. Sturdy. Well built. Durable.
I love my tactical shorts. First lined short that i have actually liked! I cant wait to get my hands on the set short.
I was on the fence, but if you approve then they can have my money. Also I just realised as many reviews as possible acronyms as AMRAP. lol.
How tall are you?
Same issue with the Tactical Short. Used them once, the WoD included burpees/Kb swings and rowing. 2 threads pulled out, very dissaponted. I have the Intervals and Foundations for almost 2 years now and not a single scratch after trail runs, barbell wods, etc. Already emailed 10K.
