Help mine is coming in at 13: 08 what is wrong
Good, down to earth review pointing up the qualities of this scale. It is simple and relatively accurate. I am writing in December 2020 and I will echo what Mr Miller said. After what must have been AT LEAST five years, I decided to change the original batteries and recalibrate the scale. (I used two 15-pound barbells because the scale will not display a weight less than that.) I was surprised to find that the original batteries after YEARS of use measured 1.5 volts each which is astounding.

I have these scales and they are very acurate, even detects that i have drank a mug of coffee and shows 1/2 a pound weight gain in Red LED lol (turns Green for weight loss).
sure you weigh less than that. The jeans you have on are giving you a heavier weight. You should weight yourself with no clothes on
I just got mine yesterday and have found that for some reason it reads 2-3 pounds more than my older one purchased from bed bath and beyond from the Beurer name brands. My kids tried also and found the same thing.
My ESBS-01 has begun giving randomly different weights, usually a two to three pound difference. What should I do?

Have you ever come across the problem when changing the battery and have to recalibrate the scale?
In addition to Sorin's request.could you execute the following test.  A) Step on scale and record weight.  B) Pick up something that weights about 0.5 lbs, step on the scale and record weight.  C) Put down the 0.5 lb object, step back on the scale and record the weight.  If the weight you have for B and C are identical then you know the scale has a memory (like Sorin stated).thus the scale is not accurate and they are forcing precision. 
Thanks. Great review! Can you test it please without moving it, 4 time in a row, but at a 5 minutes difference from each test? Most scales memorize your weight for about 5 minutes in case you step on it again, to be able to give you the same result and to act as being "accurate"; for example, in your case, on a second try if the result would be 170.5, the scale assumes is the same person and gives you 171.2 as result. I would appreciate a 4 time test with a 5 minutes break between each one and to write here the results. Thanks!
