The 10 BEST Rock Cymbals From MEINL - Drum Beats Online
Lemon Cymbals Review | 16" 3 Zone Ride Cymbal by Lemon Drums (Well, sort of)
Tighten the lugs on that snare it needs a lo more of that nice popping sound to it
Anybody know what sticks used here?
The snare is super punchy but I think it would've benefited from some moongel.
these cymbals sound great but that snare sound is legendary
Soooo much compression, Jesus
Mine sounds NOTHING like this. I use it exclusively as an accent because it's so dry/ trashy.
Absolutely love the bliss series. Great quality for the price they're at. Hope these guys come back to Stebal for another event.
Gate on snare?
Is that snare tuned to a tritone :D Its sound super crazy. great cymbals btw
Cymbals sound good except that 22" ride doesn't sound like a ride sounds like a big crash! And that snare Ugh
Compressed to hell.
I've played the hi hats the 16 inch crash and the ride and they dont sound like that In person
wow this guy is amazing! 10/10 outta guys, whats his name?
Glad to hear these jazz cymbals demoed by rock drumming.
Well I wasn't expecting that snare sound. Lars Ulrich circa 2002 lol
What the snare.
Again, sooooo much compression
too much compression
16" - 0:10 17" - 0:49 nice double-crash - 1:20, 1:47, 2:14
I have a Sabian AAX air splash that I love, but I haven't been able to find a good complementary splash. I have both an A Custom, and a K. This splash sounds Great. Not K great, but I will hit one in person, and if it sounds like this thing, I'm in!
Sounds like cymbals in that price range would sound. They certainly are NOT high end cymbals
The 20" crash/ride is the shining star here. Love that snare too ha ha!
Awesome sounds
Which cymbal was your favorite Get access to 100's of drum lessons (+ MUCH more) and join the #DBOFamily HERE: toms
I wondered why he was shooting this video with a drum key on the snare . Then I laughed out loud when I realized it was an Earthworks DM-20 drum mic.
I feel like half of the reason people use Meinl is just to tell everyone that they use Meinl lmao. They have some good cymbals, but are extremely overrated IMO.
Lol I totally laughed out loud on the “zildjian” cymbal that magically turned into a Meinl! I use the whole dark classic customs (big size set 16in hihat, 19” & 20” crash, 22 ride, 16” trash stack, 18” trash crash, either 16” or it’s an 18” China. a more. My only concern is with so many cymbals would a 2 mic overhead be able to catch all those different cymbals? Or would I need to add more mics? I’m already at 8 mic’s with my 2 rack toms, 2 floor toms, snare, bass drum, and hihats I need another port for my auxiliary snare to. and I’m lost for the 8 cymbal set up
I wish I could afford one of these :D but in Germany you dont even have the option to work with 14 years
Not only were the cymbals great playing is mesmerazing.I love your change in accents.I never know what you are going to do next.
awesome video! are you using die cast or triple flange hoops on that snare?
You just about sold me on the Byzances. I've been looking at getting the 19" Traditional Medium Thin and 20" Traditional Medium crashes for a while now. I want the 23" Traditional Heavy Ride (I'm a fan of big heavy cymbals) but hearing the Polyphonic ride used in some grooves I haven't heard it used in yet really makes me want it. My ideal Byzance combo as of right now would be 16" Hi hats (I made these myself by pairing a Pure Alloy crash (top) with a Byzance Dark Crash (bottom) 19" Traditional Medium Thin Crash 20" Traditional Medium Crash 20" Dual Trash Crash 21" Polyphonic Ride OR 23" Traditional Heavy Ride.
That snare! Wow!
lmao that Zildjian ride is fire
could you do a crash trash comparison
20 medium is awesome
7:40 unsainted?
Huge question! Your first crash mentioned wait it was “18 deep hats bottom”
Where's the head banging at?
what snare drum do you have
Beautiful setup! I’ve been playing byzance for 10 years! My favorite cymbal of all time is my byzance traditional 21” medium ride and I use it for ANYTHING Love crashing it Gillespie style lol
Very rad and informative video! I appreciate how much you talk about riding your crashes. That important for me and I'm trying to learn which ride or crash I should be using
Zildgain and paste say no more
Great video. These are a big upgrade from my Yamaha DT Xpress cymbals
I recently bought a used VAD503 kit. It came with just the hats and the digital ride. I'm in the market for two crashes to round me out. I can afford two Roland crashes. Would there be any actual benefit to buying the Rolands over these though? I just need them as two zones. Maybe use the savings for another floor tom? Anyway, if you have the fliff is there any actual value in buying Roland's as opposed to these? I don't want to over spend when there is no tangible added value. Also, you earned a subscribe. This content is useful.
Great video! Just brought 2 15" e cymbals &1-18" e cymbal just as you said great for the price! But I have the same problem with the bell you had on the 16" ones only this is my 18" cymbal as well as the hot spot on bell . I would like to use my 15" as a high hat can you give me some pointers as to do so?
I ordered the same Lemon cymbal and connected it to my Yamaha DTX-Pro. The bell was also switched with the ride sensor so I opened-up the bottom and swapped the ribbon cables. The bell is now the bell and ride now the ride, however, there is no choke function to the cymbal. Will figure out how to re-wire the choke within time. CHEERS!
You have my sub. I'm looking to upgrade my muted triggered metal cymbals. This was very helpful. Thanks.
atta boy, Luke!
Great review. Thanks for the video
I have an Alesis nitro mesh kit and I wanna buy 2 of this and use them as 2 zone cymbals, one like a ride with bell and another one with a crash and China, do you think it'll work with my module?
what speaker do you use or headphone?
Can it be plugged into yamaha drums? With a 2 into 1 cable of course
Are you running Ezdrummer? What snare is that on the intro?
So, I just picked these up. I'm using the 16" cymbals for crashes, china, and ride. The crashes and china plugged right in, but when I did the "fix" for the ride I lost the bow section completely. I reversed the "fix" and simply switched the ride input cords around and it works fine now (edge, bow, bell). Alesis DM10x gen 1 module. Don't know if it's my module or they tweaked them, but the surgery was unneeded in my case.
What Pad Setting (type) would I use for one of these on a TD-17 Module?
Does this work for carlsbro drums?
i was looking to add a cybmal to my td17kvx, but would you use this over a cy13r? i wad going to grab a cy15r but then i saw the price
Based on your review and the one on 65 Drums, I bought a set through Alibaba, because, as you said, it was a much better deal than buying individually through the reseller ($145 for one or $156 for two, so basically a second cymbal for $11).
Hello - thanks for the helpful review. Well done! One the Lemon cymbals work with my Roland TD 30 set?
These cymbals are absolute crap. I've played drums for over 50 yes. I tryed I bought. I sent the cymbals back. Junk toy. Not good gear Its a child's toy
Roland and ATV disliked this video.
