Soundcheck Blindfold Challenges - Crash Cymbals
10 Crash Cymbals Compared - Which is Best For You?
The Best Beginner Cymbal Sets Around $300
ALL The Low Volume Cymbals On The Market
Proof advertising works
Paiste is my favorite.
I own about 40 pAisTe crashes. And the 18 Signature Full crash is Definitely top 3.
I guessed the 3 correctly. It was Easy. My ears do NOT like A Customs I own a pAisTe 18 Signature The AAX sounded like its name implied. Explosive.
Time for me to check out Paiste crashes. Liked my brand the least!
I'm looking for budget line vs pro line blind cymbal test. Me thinks all the people "in the know" wouldn't be able to consistently pick out which is which, especially when playing along with drums and almost certainly not when in a well mixed song.
Wow that paiste is nice
Sabian would be best for metal, zildjian better for rock and other genres, paiste is good for everything
1st time I heard the Paiste 18" signature full crash I thought it was the best crash cymbal I'd ever heard!
In his defense, the "medium" crash cymbals from Zildjian sound terrible to me, and are do not open up like normal zildjian A custom crashes cymbals.
Jokes on you I have Meinl cymbals
Paiste is good to me
They all sound good, but the the Paiste has that classic warmness to it which always makes them a cut above.
Soundcheck Blindfold Challanges - Keeping the Endorsement
These are all close... Paiste was the best sounding. AAX was most versatile for sure. Zildjian has a nice sound, just not for my style. I’m actually surprised I guessed these 3 right but i also recently played all 3 of these cymbals within the last year. If they did the AAX first the challenge would have been easier lol
Only Paiste. Paiste = my love)))
I only got the zildjian right. I use Meinl on my own kit.
I think my favorite might’ve been the paiste, and I have Zildjian cymbals
I want to purchase a crash cymbal I don't have one yet im pretty new to drumming and don't know that much. Google said that a 16" is good for a beginner but every video i see people use a 18" and you guys used all 18" soooo idk😞😞😞please help...Sorry. FYI I play rock
Get all right by chance: 16.7% - get one right: 50% - all wrong: 33.3%
I have that Zildjian A but have been looking for a shorter and darker crash for studio work. The K and the 602 totally stood out as the ones.
602 modern essential but it sounded exactly like the K
Sabian18 inch HHX Legacy
I choose paiste signature
Zildijian A always win for me, but Paiste Signature are great too. I dunno, but i don't like sabians at all
Paiste sounded the best overall.....
Bro haha I feel like I'm the only one who preferred the sand crash. That's the sound I hear in my head when I think about a crash cymbal, the other one seemed too bright for me...
Istanbul the best
It's actually remarkable how similar the AA (5:27) and A custom (6:11) sound. Aside from the A custom being a bit higher pitched they're virtually identical.
Love the Meinl Byzance ❤
Arent the Zildjian A's the most recorded cymbals, the industry standard?
зацените мой последний бит, делал 7 часов, рад любой критике :)
Zildjien forr the winnn
I bought the Sabian HHX Legacy Brilliant 18 & Istanbul Agop Traditional Paper thin 18...the best choice I've ever made
Paiste signature is the best brilliant crash of the world
thank God! A cymbal review whilst actually playing the f*ing drums!!! Thankx, much help
Sabian AA Thin Crash my favourite
Is it weird that I fell in love with the hihat in a video about crashes? What type is it?
1:22 1:35 4:30 5:14 5:22
i hate 16 inchs crashes, they will be only 18 and bigger
I have a set of 13 inch hcs meinl hats . not bad but the hcs crashes sound like crap. Im going with linear smash 18. And a wuhan china soon . my ride will be. A k zildjian .
I had Sabian B8's early when i was a kid, after getting better cymbals i really hate the sound of Sabian B8 cymbals. The only great b8 bronze cymbals are from Paiste. Sabian makes awesome cymbals though and living in Canada you get a great deal since they're made here
If you listen beyond the Wuhan demo...you will be not only disappointed but also wasting your time.
Wow I’m blown away by those Wuhans, I’d take those over a set of Zildjian Z’s
14:04 love that China hit 👌
Wuhans are my favorite and some of the cheapest. The warranty of 2 lousy months, since purchased in 2018 by Cardinal Percussion, sux! i Zildjian would be my #2 - but the Wuhans have the most expansion, comes with a bag and have the most consistent sound. In fact, I have a pair of 14" hats on my 1968 Burgundy sparkle Ludwig set. They sound great. I was rather disappointed with the Sabians and Paiste's.
Sabian & Zildijain are my favorite
Nice job - (and playing) some big surprises in there! I'd love for you to demo the Z i-family mastersound hats (just ordered from you guys) along with that 14 trash (top hat)crash and the 17"/18" ex pack - Man, there are some cool sounding cymbals for cheap right now! 🤘❤💥
If the HCS logo weren’t on those cymbals, people would actively seek them out just as much as much more expensive cymbals.
Well I'll be damned, Wuhan. Look at you!
Wuhan to this novice drummer.
Out of the major brands the Zildjians sound the best, but the Wuhans are the clear winners here
Am I the only one that can't really concentrate because I hear Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds? :P Great and informative video of course!
Meinl or Zildjian for me.
Damn, I want that Wuhan set, and I don't even need it. They all sounded great.
We need to stop overproducing new shit people better off buying used pro level. Stop making crappy shit just cuz its new
Wow! I just fell in love. Will go for Meinl HCS141620.
A tornado destroyed evening including my drums and my mix of Sabian AAX and HHX cymbals ,well 3 years later I finally got my dream set of drums, and a full Gibralter rack which didn't leave me much price room to get the same cymbals I lost, so I got the Meinl HCS seris Ultimate Pack for like $400, Fast forward 2 years later and I decided to stay with Meinl and purchased the Brilliant Meinl Classics Custom set for $999 and couldn't be happier!
I'm with the others. The Wuhans were head and shoulder less brassy and cheap sounding. I'd choose those to upgrade a cheap kids kit.
actually shocked by the wuhans
Nice roundup, Justin but not all the low volume cymbals on the market! for us in Europe, Milennium have a range https://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_still_series_cymbal_set.htm 14" Hi-hat, 16" Crash, 18" Crash and 20" Ride for €195 ($241.44) here's a sound demo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52LjQ4d3gfU
Bestest source for this i can find!
where can i buy the whd
I own a full set of Arborea cymbals, from aliexpress and they're awesome. In the UK you don't have to order 5000 units.
Yeah great thank you Justin you've been awesome giving all kinds of great advice on symbols I wish it was just more affordable for us drummers especially Roland they can kiss my ass
I just bought the Arborea cymbals for my daughter's starter drumkit. These ones didn't have the larger cut outs on the inner part though. We live in Japan, so not sure you can get them elsewhere as easily. Will let you know how they sound once we've given them a test.
I purchased the Chiang ones and they sound amazing for a great price. only issue is the shipping cost.
Agean R series for sure :)
I wanna hear dem
Just saw on Sweetwater Wuhan has low volume cymbals now. Called Wuhan ORA and they’re $199 for 14/16/18/20.
The Agean R series are the best out there. They sound amazing. A little darker than all of the others.
Has anyone had experience with magnatrack? They have a cymbal pack with triggers for around 550. Thinking about trying it out. https://www.magnatrack.com/shop/electronic-cymbals/cymbolic-reduced-volume-e-cymbal-pack/
I’m old-school drummer why do we need low sounding cymbals
"one twenty dollars"
Great info !! thanks for sharing us!
I moved from electric drums TD 50/30 back to acoustic mainly because of the cymbals, especially the high hats...this is a good option now...
Now that was an interesting video. Love that chang
I haven’t play them I won’t to please please sign me up please
The different colors could be a couple of things: some sort of anodizing process or some sort of coating applied with varying thickness so that light refracts differently depending on thickness.
Them silent cymbals suck compared to the normal ones.
