For those that like to take a cheap guitar and upgrade, this would be perfect learning project. Change the strings, reinforce the bridge, lower the action take care of the frets ect. Could make it into a decent starter guitar.

40 years ago got a Yamaha FG 335ii. I was a small 12 year and this was big. It was never set up and had fat strings that were hard to push down. Then, on top of that, we could only find 1 teacher and he only taught hard rock. I was so frustrated. So, get one that fits, one that is set up, and find an instructor you trust.

I'm playing on an old Epiphone 12 string. It's like playing with a 2x4 neck and bailing wire strings with high action 🤣 Been playing a while so it sounds okay but it's a cheap guitar and you get what you pay for. I'm looking at the Yamaha FGX 820C thinking about getting the six string first because I need a six string. If it wins ne over I'll get the 12 string too

Expecting a begginner to spend over 300 dollars on a guitar is basically impossible for most, the best thing you can do is look up and learn what makes a good guitar and get a used one thats good for you

Dude! I was watching this video when my Fender CD-60SCE suddenly appeared! I've owned Washburn's, Taylor's, etc and this Fender is my fave by far! Sounds and plays like a $1,500 guitar but for 1/3 that price. Rich, warm and light when needed.

The red Fender sounds terrible just like i remember when i bought mine .They are not great at cheap acoustics they sound like toys and actually do suck.The Tanglewood sounded much better. Just paying for Fender badge. The second Fender that you say is mahogany is in fact only a mahogany top ,the back and sides are mahogany laminate i believe.
