Marmot Lithium 0F , Helium 15F , are the best by far to any similar temp. bag, and the best 0F bag considering price is Marmot Never Summer.
Why is he refering to 20 degrees if in reality it is 20F and -6 degree?
600 fill down is not quite as packable as 900 fill down? It is twice the volume and twice the weight. Please be brutally honest in your reviews. It would be much more helpful to your followers. Thanks for the video.
laying down in my new 1.35 kg TUPHEN sleeping bag watching this 😭🤣😂

Thanks for sharing. Have you heard about Snugpak sleeping bags? The Snugpak softie Elite 4 is supposed to be awesome at under £100 and I'm getting one from Santa this year.
I was not aware that there were men's and women's sleeping bags. I always thought a sleeping bag was for a basic human.
hand pussy pocket ???
"In addition some people like to have their feet sticking out"
Maybe Hitler was on to something 🤔🤔🤔
no wait! what if Hitler liked to stick his feet out?!🤔🤔🤔
There is so many better bags than any of these listed in this video.
I just want this so I can sleep where ever I want
I sleep on my stomach and side, so I prefer a rectangular bag that zips open all the way into a comforter.
I can NOT do those small foot box, mummy bags.
Just got my Kelly cosmic 20 in the mail today! Excited to give it a go!
Englishman: Right so 1 pound 6 ounces, that's 624grams. 30 degrees faenheit, that's -1 degrees celcius. And $390 dollars, that's £308.
Why dont people ever review Woods ?
Disappointed no Yeti sleeping bags considering their weight and lack ability but I guess this guy didn't bother with research.
I'm 6 ft tall, will regular size be okay for me? Does it have a long zipper on one side? Thanks
If you want a legit winter bag, be prepared to spend more than $400.

These sleeping bags are so cool, I wish I could afford to buy all of them
Hello i am first!
Quilts are nice. And less expensive. But unfortunately long distance hiking will require some sort of ultralight system. Preferably waterproofed. That quilt gets wet it’s gonna get left at the shelter.

How about a sleeping bag AND a quilt at the same time?
Its not zero insulation because your crushing it. It considerably less but not zero c'mon man be realistic
Let's see you go well below zero with a quilt, compared to my Carinthia Survival 1.
I had to stop at "the insulation on the bottom doesn't do anything". A person would have to be particularly dense to not understand that about half of the discomfort from sleeping on the ground, comes FROM the ground. I guess a quilt is ok if you're camping out on your grandpa's living room floor. Otherwise, give me a good pad and a good bag. And if you're actually going out somewhere that might actually be worth throwing a tent up for, if it's convenient, throwing a quilt on top or beneath the sleeping bag is also not the worst idea ever.
Thank you for this video. I was struggling to find a reasonably-priced, warm, and compact sleeping bag for backpacking. Many were not warm enough for my purpose. Other were warm but too large for packing. Still other were warm, & compact but very pricey. Several were just plain ugly. After viewing your video I shopped around and found the perfect down & fiber insulated camping quilt/blanket for outdoor use. It's large, warm, thick, attractive, water repellant, and rolls into a 12 x 5 inch stuff sack. Best of all it was very affordable and perfect for my backpacking trips. I winter camp in the southern states, not the arctic. Also, I never really liked my movement restricted by a sleeping bag so the quilt is a pleasant alternative. Again, thanks for your well-received advice. Thumbs up.
Wow. Pretty surprising to see how disagreeable the comments from a few years ago are considering how standard they are now for so many backpacking situations, and the only difference between this and a “traditional sleeping bag” is where people have drawn the line with names for some reason...
My quilt goes under my hammock... my mummy bag for above it. The zippers on my north face bag and my rei bag work every time. What’s up, zippers too much overhead for your blankey?
Personal preference video 🤦🏽♂️
Sorry man, quilts have their place as do slpg bags. Sleeping bags are warm, bottom insulation fills pad voids, fewer exposed body parts. I like my quilts on wider slpg pads but despise them on narrow pads due to skjn exposure lol. Each option has its place.
Sleeping bags are warmer. No discussion
How much are they paying you? lol
I like quilts. I'm not a UL hiker; just a tent camper with claustrophobia. Even big, 80cm wide bags would make me feel stressed out to climb inside, but using a quilt instead eliminates that issue entirely. And if I _am_ cold enough that a bag would practically have been better, I just rock and wriggle until I've made myself a cosy little sausage-roll, & then adjust tightness as is absolutely required.
Strange at it may sound, while serving in the military as a grunt, 1st/16th Infantry, the best way I found to get warm and stay that way, was with a doggoned poncho liner with ponch for a shell.
quilts require one to sleep in a special way as to keep that open side, under you....and if you miss....all that heat is gone....it did not help me, and how much does a zipper weigh....
It's just as sleeping bag without the zipper. And if you lay on it, it's gonna compress just like a bag.
Just buy a wool blanket, or open your sleeping bag.
Quilt? Hell nah...WIND!
I use a:
---Thermarest pad (rolled tight with 2 bunjee cords),
---Kelty Cosmic 20° down bag,
---USGI Bivy sack (trust me on this one. Semper Fi),
---Sea to Summit eVent dry compression bag (compressed tight)
I used this for years as a homeless traveller after getting out of the military. I dont like messing around with sleeping systems, you can throw this down in pouring rain and be ok. You dont need a tarp under it, and you can roll it up really fast if you need to go in a hurry. But you wont get wet, worry about sticks or rocks (too much), and youll stay warm.
You do not want to fall asleep in freezing conditions and your arm to hang out of a quilt
I'm looking at the sleeping bag as Go Outdoor have it at a very reasonable price but noticed you mentioned you got condensation inside your bivi. I read that a bivi needs air circulation to help prevent condensation so by having it inside a tent stops the air getting to it. How are you finding the sleeping bag and have you had chance to use it again since the video?
Just brought this bag today, I wasn’t even looking for one. Saw it in Go Outdoors, felt the quality and the zip was really smooth, I was really impressed. Much better than my current Alpkit and Northface bag.
Definitely a quality product.
Great videos BTW
Those exospheres look the business my bags from 1984 😂
Informative upload Andy. I also own a Targar 2 . I used a 45L Dry bag from aliexpress for pennies, slipped over the foot end of my sleeping back . Job done. No condensation on the foot box of the sleeping bag. Hope this helps.. A very cheap fix..
Great video as always 👍 looking forward to the next adventure.
Nice one Andy. You win some, lose some with kit - consign to summer use for that bivvy bag no doubt; is it goretex (other) as definitely needs to be breathable or with a breeze if not. Cheers. Looking forward to the colder camps as well.
Was just about to ask about the height limit for the bag then just saw 😆👍🏼 I imagine the mens is longer? I need a bag for the autumn/winter changeover
Good kit review Andy. Always good to see what other kit people are using. Probably a bit too early to tell, but do you think the sleeping bag will keep you warm at the stated temperature?
I can’t sleep with ear plugs I’m always paranoid I will have someone sneak in my tent and rob all my kit and il sleep through it 🤣
Nice to see someone had the same idea as me with using a bivvy in the tent for extra heat and protection from condensation.. I got a cheapo andes one
Tent timelapse was super trippy
It’s been sunny today but the temp has dropped xxx
