That bamboo flute looks like it is made out of Black Bamboo (Phyllostachys nigra), which is actually my favorite species of bamboo for making Pan Flutes. When I made Pan Flutes, I would bake the bamboo in an oven at low temperatures, which was similar to kiln drying wood. After baking, the bamboo would virtually never crack. I know what you mean about the aroma of charred bamboo; when I baked my bamboo, it would smell like cookies baking in an oven. Yummy!

Nice one. I'm currently building a large side blown flute in the same key. It's going to have an arabic/spanish gypsy tuning. It will have 6 holes and I will have to use my thumb for one of the holes.

In the Bolivian Andes, they have what known as a Moseño. Same concept.
That sounds so mellow. Wonderful flute. A few years ago I saw some flutes at a flute circle of similar design. They were around 4 to 5 feet long made of wood with a tube down the side similar to this flute. Even some of our most experienced players in the circle had difficulty not over blowing the low note.

I would be very careful promoting this brand to avoid becoming an enabler of a fraudulent store. I do not know whether the flute maker is aware that there might be some undesirables within his business or whether he is party to this but after paying an invoice for a pack of flutes, they have ceased contact altogether. I will be looking into employing a bangladeshi lawyer to commence litigation. Stay away from ordering online is what I would recommend meanwhile, going in store to buy might be the only option with this brand.

Just a note for the unwary. You may wonder that the "C" bamboo flute is so much larger than a standard C tin whistle. This is because these south Asian bamboo flutes have their keys named differently to "western" tin whistles. A whistle/bamboo flute will play straightforwardly in two major keys. So, for example, a D tin whistle will play easily in G. With that it in mind, it would make as much sense to call a D tin whistle a G tin whistle, except "western" tin whistles aren't but these bamboo fipple flutes are. So ... The D sharp bamboo flute is the same key as a B flat tin whistle. The E bamboo flute is the same key as a B tin whistle. The C bamboo flute is the same key as a G tin whistle.
I have ordered online from them since 8th February 2020. Since then I did'nt received the order number and whether it being ship or not. I have email and even whatapps them but failed. My Whataps are not even answered!. Really slow and bad service.
