I own one and there is something really horrible about it, if the battery is around 70% and I turn it off and the next day I turn it on again the battery is completely flat .The laptop is only one year old and very little used .Looks like the laptop is never really off. :(

4K on laptop monitor is tiring. Everything is so tiny, makes me constantly squint. Makes more sens on a 31.9" stationary monitor. My next laptop is NOT going to be with a 4K display, the bonus is lower price, better battery capacity and better user experience at the same time. The XPS 15-7590 @ 1080p may very well be my next choice. The graphic card supports 4K so no issues with connecting a large secondary display if I wanna have a dual monitor setup. And in terms of touch display I have that on my 4K Dell that I own today and I have never ever used it. It's more of a gimmick.

Thank you in advance anyone who would like to help. I'm a photographer, I purchased this thing to edit work and I'm having a big problem with my Dell xps 15 7590. Same laptop as the vid. Anyway I'm out of my return window, still got a 3 years warranty on it but can't seem to find anyone to help me with the problem. Plugged in, computer is fine after I purchased a $280 color calibration device to qualibrate it but when it's running on battery, the image quality turns trash, picture colors get hazy and lose sharpness. Never had a computer behave this way even the cheaper ones, and I'm talking about a $2000 laptop. Can someone help me? I Tried to trade it in but I was offered $300 for it. I tried everything I could think of or watch on youtube but still no results.

7:29 Oh come on, you CAN NOT damage the processor from undervolting. Only overvolting the processor can damage it. As long as you are only decreasing the voltage from stock (as in putting a negative value for voltage offset) you will be safe. There are tons of guides on undervolting if you feel like you want to tinker with your machine to get better performance and battery life.

Hey guys. So I'm looking to purchase a Dell XPS 15 7950 pretty soon. I recently had a Macbook Pro 15 (2013 model), but unfortunately that died on me. I loved the screen of that one to bits - it was gorgeous. Unfortunately I have eyes that are kinda sensitive/not that great, but the Macbook was perfect for them. I have borrowed a Lenovo V330 in the interim and I can't stand the quality of the screen. I don't know if it's the contrast or the colours, but it's unbearable for me - I can't go more than ten minutes without a headache forming, and for my job I'm on it all day. However, the Lenovo is a FHD screen, and so is the Dell XPS that I want (I really, really don't want the 4K - out of my price range and reflection/glossy issues). So my question is, is the FHD screen of the Dell XPS very good? Are the colours decent, the black levels crisp? You can tell I'm not a techy as any correct terminology is beyond me xD I just don't want to spend out a whole bunch of money only for the screen to be as bad as the Lenovo I'm using. I'd really appreciate some advice! Thank you all! :D

Hey guys! I am a Youtuber as well and do quite a bit of video editing but I have no idea which specs I need. Here's what I DON'T need. Since I have an external monitor, the size of the laptop screen or it being touchscreen means nothing to me. While very nice, all the premium materials & thinness of the XPS range are also not needed. The laptop also stays in one place so portability is not needed but I don't want a big desktop. I just need a pretty quick laptop that will render my videos as fast as possible. I also would like not to break the bank. Here's what I DO(or think I do)need: I want a Dell. Intel i7 9th or 10th Gen, 16gigs or more of RAM, 512gb Hardrive and not sure if a dedicated graphics card helps in the rendering of videos or if that's for game play on the machine itself of which I do none. Any suggestions?

DO NOT buy Dell laptops. The company is complete garbage post 2016. They use batteries that end up expanding and damage the laptop. The disturbing thing is Dell does not think this is a problem. Well it is a very serious problem as this is dangerous. Dell are taking people's money and providing false advertising. They need to clearly state that the battery will expand and cause damage to the laptop. Cheap garbage made in China parts are used and the quality control is absolutely disgraceful. Do not buy Dell garbage as that is the only way they will learn.

dell xps 15 900, bought it for dollar 4,200 and it is an authentic piece of stinking shit. even the fucking keyboard does not let you type without spewing some more shit with every press of a key. full of bugs. you'll be better of buying a $300 laptop that will at least work. This one is going back and no more Dell computer ever again. I mean their quality control sucks, how can they launch a laptop with faulty keyboard?

This might help people out that are looking to buy the dell xps 15 9500. I bought the xps 15 9500 on 27th Dec 2020 but i only received it on 28th Jan 2021. It arrived from china. Seems to be a delay but i didn't mind waiting. Before i start one thing really bugs me is the quality of the webcam. I didn't see any reviews on the webcam before i bought the laptop. The webcam is really qutie grainy and my 10 year old dell xps laptop is 100 times better in webcam quality. I did not expect this from a top of the range laptop. When i researched this further, i found out that the bad quality is due dell choosing a bottom of the barrel sensor for the camera and becuase the camera has to fit in the very small bezel. Some suggestions were to buy a seperate web camera which made a huge difference. Personally, i don't want to go through the hassle of returning the laptop for the webcam so if i intend to use it alot, i will probably buy a webcam to plug in via usb. However i am very disappointed at the webcam quality (0.9MP max) for such an expensive lapotp. I bought mine in silver i7 16gb 1tb, and the trackpad issue of it being loose is not there. I am happy i went for the matt screen and not the UHD screen. It does get a little warm on the left hand side of the laptop if im using it for a long period. The trackpad sometimes doesn't register my right click, not sure why. When i try clicking in the bottom right corner of the trackpad it sometimes doesnt register it, it's intermittent but it seems to have gone away now since i started using the laptop more. If the issue persists i will update this comment. Other than that the laptop has been great and the sound quality is great to. Hopefully this will help someone.

Xps 15 has given me so many problems. My first one had screen glitching, screen freezing, volume not working, brightness not changing, and loose trackpad. After getting a replacement it still had problems with screen freezing, screen glitching, volume not working correctly, and freezing on startup causing it to only turn on the fan. Its hard to get help at night sometimes even though dell premium support plus is supposed to 24/7. If you buy this laptop return it asap if you experience any issues
