Time to upgrade. Sort of last me 5 years. Slightly broken hinges, slow, and can't keep up with modern games. You did ok, but wish you had a better build quality. Very cheap feeling.
Can it run elgato streaming?
TYPING IN 2020 AFTER 4 YEARS OF USE, I kept this bad boy and will continue to do so a little longer. This laptop has held up well for me! I watched this video and was instantly sold. The material of the laptop definitely gets dirty and gets scuffs like Dave said. It's no Alienware tank but it's got some weight. It's about average thiccness especially compared to all the sleeker and thinner ones coming out. I take it around a lot so there's that. I do clean whenever necessary though. Battery life is shite now (1 hr) but that's to be expected. I just have it plugged in now. Another weird issue is the keyboard. It is nice to type on BUT I've noticed that when i play LoL (AND ONLY LoL) the keyboard would die and nothing (but my mouse) would register; even the power button! THANK GOD for the single screw back (WHY DON'T ALL LAPTOPS HAVE THIS FEATURE??), that thing is so convenient and has saved my life during league games since I just pop out the back, unplug the cable connected to the battery to turn it off and boot up again which takes like a minute. Idk if its because i have wallpaper engine running in the background or the laptop itself is getting old or Riot Games just hates me. The hinge was a temporary issue as it kept popping the base corners of the laptop up and then down when i would lift the screen up, thus making a loud snapping sound every time. I found a video that said it was a loose screw in the back (inside) that needs to be tightened. I opened it up and screwed both tight again and it was good as new! Speakers are alright but i use a headset. I do notice a stutter sound, maybe driver issues idk but not often. I've kept this baby cleaned and updated internally. I got 8gb extra ram, an SSD to use as my OS, and use the 1tb HDD as storage. The power connection and headphone jack on the left side are a BIG PLUS. Some new laptops today have it on the right and it gets in the way of my mouse. Unfortunately the ethernet is on the right, but i use wifi mainly anyways. Fans don't get too loud; even then I've heard louder fans. The thermals on this is NICE! It's no HP OMEN 15 ice cold but I never had to worry about my fingers and palms burning (Looking at you Asus). It still handles games really well but, of course I have to make a few sacrifices in quality graphics. I've played League and other mobas comfortably on high settings, The Division 2 tolerably on lower settings, and even Apex Legends on mid settings. Sure it's a bit older, but I can see myself comfortably using this for another 2 years. I don't mind looking like a Flintstone with a dinosaur. Cheers to whomever got around to reading this and thanks to Dave2D for this awesome recommendation! It's gotten me through college, saved some cash in pocket, and continues to hold up well!
Have a nice day.
Dell 1464 review and his gaming and keyboard review.
Thank you so much but i use dell 1464
This laptop is a beast for me.Its been 5 yes tho.no issues
4 yrs later, its screen began leaking lcd fluid on the bottom right
Battery blown up like a balloon
Bad hinges, which shorted the motherboard when tried to open the screen.
4k screen not available in the market for replacement so its game over. Time to buy a new laptop
Budget??? I bought mine brand new and paid almost $1900 for my Dell 7559 in 2016, straight from Dell. I don't know what kind of "budget" you're on!? Lol.
I miss this intro!
hinge is messsy
As long as I can play total war games and do school shoit, I'm down
I bought this for my kids the 4k version and the screentouch in this 2020 ... It cost me 500 bucks with 1 TB and 16 in ram ...
4.5 years down the line, the laptop still runs well. But thermal throttles a lot!
The keyboard keypads started slipping and I couldn't press the key.
Hinge is pretty bad and since I dropped my laptop a couple of years ago, I broke the hinge and the top part near the keyboard came off.
These early videos gives me a nostalgic feeling, omg! Its not that too long ago.
Can you review the Asus X570ZD?
going for $999.77 on amazon LOL!
Works relatively good lnfo.help/dell_Inspiron?ぬ and stable as a piece of advanced electronics. Used to hang on some occasions so i would hold power button to force shut down. After i went through processes and automated tasks and changed a few things it almost never does that; device itself seems good. Been using it plenty for months now.
It's totally not worth getting the grainy, matte screen. The * only * way to go is with the 3,840 by 2,160, glossy screen!
I can not relate to people who actually prefer matte screens. They are grainy. With a glossy screen, the colors are bright and clear.
The matte people always whinge about reflections. Just move the computer, sub-genius! How hard can this be?
I just found a used Dell 7559 on Ebay, with a glossy screen, and 3,840 by 2,160 resolution. It looks like the best deal for under $300 so far.
When a budget laptop from 2015 has better webcam than your 2020 gaming laptop
I got one of these second hand with 16gb upgraded ram and ssd for 600$.... best purchase ive ever made
I've this laptop since 2017. I've since upgraded it to have 16gb of ram and a samsung 860 evo. Works well for productivity and light gaming. However, if you are thinking about getting this for gaming I'd go with more recent laptop or a custom build.
can we still buy this thing in 2021 🙄
I still have the i7 16 gb ram version
I have this laptop. It stinks. The hinge broke on its own, and it performs like shit.
Watching this in 2020 with a Dell Inspiron 7559
A true sleeper
i just bought one of these for 400 dollars so a friend can play some lighter games on it.
After 4 years of service, this device is still my best buy so far. To think that I can run Doom Eternal on low graphics with 45 to 60 fps is crazy!
I'm still a user of the Dell Inspiron 15 7559, who's still using it?😋
I have the i7 touchscreen version of this and it barely runs any games past 60 fps. Kinda sucks
Got the 4K touchscreen microsoft edition, still going strong.
There's an issue where the hinge kills itself and it's not covered under warranty so DON'T BUY THIS
Vid's old as hell, but when I try to plug in this laptop, it makes an electric chirping noise and doesn't receive power. This happened years ago and and JUST after the warranty expired so I've had this brick and since moved on. Since I'm heading into the military as an officer, I really don't want to lug my whole tower and monitor to my training base. I heard that the motherboard could be burnt out, but replacements for the damn thing are as much as a PS4 pro... but I already own the laptop so I'd like to have the thing fixed.
Great laptop for the price, and its upgradability has kept it going strong for my brother, whose has it as his daily driver!
Well my laptop(same as the one in the video) sounds like a legit jet engine
That laptop was about to fall
4 years later, still going strong!!
It's great and all but you must be careful with replacement chargers, I ended up with a 100W charger after the original 130W one broke. Performance was inhaled.
this is a bakwas laptop i myself use it it is very slow and always i ve to restart it and use😢😢😌😌
This can run apex max setting)?
can i use an elgato HD60s on this
I purchased this laptop in 2017 for a work project. I abandoned it and kept it in storage for 9 months, safe and sound. I pull it out and use it as a gaming computer for 6 months and the display starts spotlighting. I wanted to figure out what was wrong but I was too late. The entire display refused to start. I hooked it up to a monitor and it started to display. I believe the LCD was defective and i don't think I can replace it.
Is this a good choice for fl studios 20?
This laptop is awesome i bought one around 1 and a half year, it runs perfect arma 3, for honor, battlefield 1, war thunder, posy scrpitum etc... Very nice laptop
Your mouse is gooood!! I want it :)
Is it still worth it to buy now ?
just bought it this laptop is legit
guys... i want to buy that but only because i know shit about laptops.... i need to run photoshop and premiere so a gaming laptop with specs like these would be fine right? also i could use it for some light gaming... so ... will that be a good option or shall i look for something else?
Yeah, except the Dell XPS 15 is half the size!
battery life... bla bla bla... you are fking mirror of yourself remember? so next time .. dont be a fuking jerk
Hi plz recommend between this 7559 i7 and dell 5577 i5 gtx 1050/4gb
Everything is Playable at 40 fps. Oh dear this iso only a Panel with a max 75HZ Display so everything above 75 fps is lost Power!
Green keyboard ? Where do you buy it?
Wait a minute,How did this get blue backlit keyboard
You reckon it will run pubg
I think this laptop is underrated, the only problem is that the charger light is blue
This comment might annoy you but I think its important. Its probably better not to swear on your channel especially since its a tech channel. Most ppl dont expect swearing on these kind of channels, i know i didnt. its jsut a kind request i think its a good idea.
Can an active stylus be used on this?
i think you are playing football with this laptop. I have been using it for 3.5 yrs. better situation than this atleast 😂😂😂
buy a football dude and play with it.😂😂
Bro what in the fuck did you do with your laptop for it to be like that 😂
Have you punched your kids or wife using this laptop ? I ve been using the same laptop for 5 y and looks like brend new one
It’s honestly a run of the mill laptop and doesn’t really run many games.
I've had mine for 4 years, it's still good.
Bruh... it amazes how the same EXACT issue happened with my laptop. Even down to the wireless antenna being severed into two 😂
And Dell has the audacity to claim is a consumer fault issue.
*Love it **lnfo.help/dell_Inspiron?せ** Graphics are beautiful. Runs smoothly. Games are without bugs and glitches. Absolutely love her to pieces.*
I have an Inspiron 5000 and the hinge started shredding the case a couple of weeks ago. The issue became worse very quickly and now, I can't even close it. This is clearly a huge quality control issue with Dell laptops. It's really my fault for buying a cheap plastic laptop. I just ordered a Surface and never looking back.
I have had it friend since 2016, I just passed "The Witcher 3", 3 years less than I have it, it has given me nothing but happiness. It is one of the best notebooks I have ever had.
My thinkpad T430 metal hinge after 7 years only have a small wiggle. Everything esle is still strong and working
I just now am getting problems with mine, and she is 5 years old. The problems started, because i thought it would be a good idea to disassemble her and clean her out from the inside. I put her back together and the touchpad is messed up, she wont turn on, and she needs to be serviced. So, yes you did do something, you didn’t tighten the screws on the bottom of your laptop.
Are u chewing something?
That’s neglect for sure. That’s been dropped a few times. I’ve had mine 3 years and it’s like new. The only thing I’ve done to mine is had the subwoofer replaced under warranty.
I've had mine for 2.5 years - I know what you're talking about, the cheap plastic build, but mine stays open most of the time. I've had to replace the touchpad, added 8gb more ram and an SSD. Still a beast but could've been built a lot better.
IF YOU ALL ARE SAYING "Oh ThIs nEvEr HaPpEneD tO mE aNd I'vE hAd It LoNgEr" THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE? GET YOUR ASSES OUTTA HERE CAUSE THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM! GOOGLE IT
I bought the same model in 2017 to replace my older Inspiron which started to fall apart after about six years of use due to those shitty hinges. Now, three years into the life of this newer machine, I’m having the exact same problem.
Never buying a Dell ever again.
4 years and the only thing kind of damage it's the headphone jack. playing shadow of war right now!
Lol, I had mine for 4 years and it is still looking pristine
I've searched online and broken / loose hinges is a consistent problem that pops up. I've had mine for 3 years: I wasn't aware it was the hinges needed tightening before it was too late (now have ripped wires, need a usb wifi adapter, screen often dies on me). Overall poor build quality. You shouldn't really move this laptop around too much.
For the price it's a great gaming laptop. I just wish I knew about the hinges way before hand.
The only issue I had is with the W key...
