Dell Inspiron 15 7559 review: BUDGET GAMING LAPTOP!
TYPING IN 2020 AFTER 4 YEARS OF USE, I kept this bad boy and will continue to do so a little longer. This laptop has held up well for me! I watched this video and was instantly sold. The material of the laptop definitely gets dirty and gets scuffs like Dave said. It's no Alienware tank but it's got some weight. It's about average thiccness especially compared to all the sleeker and thinner ones coming out. I take it around a lot so there's that. I do clean whenever necessary though. Battery life is shite now (1 hr) but that's to be expected. I just have it plugged in now. Another weird issue is the keyboard. It is nice to type on BUT I've noticed that when i play LoL (AND ONLY LoL) the keyboard would die and nothing (but my mouse) would register; even the power button! THANK GOD for the single screw back (WHY DON'T ALL LAPTOPS HAVE THIS FEATURE??), that thing is so convenient and has saved my life during league games since I just pop out the back, unplug the cable connected to the battery to turn it off and boot up again which takes like a minute. Idk if its because i have wallpaper engine running in the background or the laptop itself is getting old or Riot Games just hates me. The hinge was a temporary issue as it kept popping the base corners of the laptop up and then down when i would lift the screen up, thus making a loud snapping sound every time. I found a video that said it was a loose screw in the back (inside) that needs to be tightened. I opened it up and screwed both tight again and it was good as new! Speakers are alright but i use a headset. I do notice a stutter sound, maybe driver issues idk but not often. I've kept this baby cleaned and updated internally. I got 8gb extra ram, an SSD to use as my OS, and use the 1tb HDD as storage. The power connection and headphone jack on the left side are a BIG PLUS. Some new laptops today have it on the right and it gets in the way of my mouse. Unfortunately the ethernet is on the right, but i use wifi mainly anyways. Fans don't get too loud; even then I've heard louder fans. The thermals on this is NICE! It's no HP OMEN 15 ice cold but I never had to worry about my fingers and palms burning (Looking at you Asus). It still handles games really well but, of course I have to make a few sacrifices in quality graphics. I've played League and other mobas comfortably on high settings, The Division 2 tolerably on lower settings, and even Apex Legends on mid settings. Sure it's a bit older, but I can see myself comfortably using this for another 2 years. I don't mind looking like a Flintstone with a dinosaur. Cheers to whomever got around to reading this and thanks to Dave2D for this awesome recommendation! It's gotten me through college, saved some cash in pocket, and continues to hold up well!
Have a nice day.
Your holiday
Dell 1464 review and his gaming and keyboard review.
Thank you so much but i use dell 1464
This laptop is a beast for me.Its been 5 yes issues
4 yrs later, its screen began leaking lcd fluid on the bottom right Battery blown up like a balloon Bad hinges, which shorted the motherboard when tried to open the screen. 4k screen not available in the market for replacement so its game over. Time to buy a new laptop
Budget??? I bought mine brand new and paid almost $1900 for my Dell 7559 in 2016, straight from Dell. I don't know what kind of "budget" you're on!? Lol.
I miss this intro!
hinge is messsy
As long as I can play total war games and do school shoit, I'm down
I bought this for my kids the 4k version and the screentouch in this 2020 ... It cost me 500 bucks with 1 TB and 16 in ram ...
4.5 years down the line, the laptop still runs well. But thermal throttles a lot! The keyboard keypads started slipping and I couldn't press the key. Hinge is pretty bad and since I dropped my laptop a couple of years ago, I broke the hinge and the top part near the keyboard came off.
These early videos gives me a nostalgic feeling, omg! Its not that too long ago.
Can you review the Asus X570ZD?
going for $999.77 on amazon LOL!
Works relatively goodぬ and stable as a piece of advanced electronics. Used to hang on some occasions so i would hold power button to force shut down. After i went through processes and automated tasks and changed a few things it almost never does that; device itself seems good. Been using it plenty for months now.
It's totally not worth getting the grainy, matte screen. The * only * way to go is with the 3,840 by 2,160, glossy screen! . I can not relate to people who actually prefer matte screens. They are grainy. With a glossy screen, the colors are bright and clear. . The matte people always whinge about reflections. Just move the computer, sub-genius! How hard can this be? . I just found a used Dell 7559 on Ebay, with a glossy screen, and 3,840 by 2,160 resolution. It looks like the best deal for under $300 so far.
Bought this laptop used for $180 with a 256gb ssd already in it. It was a great decision
4 years later, still going strong!
thank you. Can I put a ram of 16 capacity to the gigabite ram that already available?

Why is this a gaming laptop and the Dell XPS is not when they have the same or similar dedicated graphics and CPU
Is 7559 better than 5577 i5?
i cant wait to get mines!
I'm looking for a laptop for college tasks like 3D modelling and renderring. What's the best laptop under $800?
it's gaming performance is better during charging why?
isme CD drive nahi hai kya
got this year's version for 730 after tax at the Microsoft store
What is the ram slot size, i want to upgrade my ram.
11:55 hey they are playing fallout 4 on god mode haha
how about battery life for 4K edition with i7 spec for wifi only and gaming. please give me answer hehe
You do a great job with these videos!!! Thanks for giving honest and reliable reviews. I actually bought this laptop and I love it, thanks!
you are the first person that I've seen review this computer that said nothing bad about the keyboard and the track pad... almost everyone says the keyboard is bad but the touchpad is much worse
does it has a keyboard light?
Suggest the first thing you do when you buy a Dell is check you don't get a 9 month warranty on a new product, like me. The next thing is take the bottom cover off and check for missing and loose screws. The hinges on this model are held with one screw and that's if they've been fitted at all. Then get to know an engineer, because even if you do have a valid warranty, Dell will refuse to fit a screw for less than £220. Youve been warned, look at reviews of their customer service and check out the hits on Google for Dell hinge problem.
cut myself everyday to get this
Hi Lisa, do you think this Laptop with 4k screen, I7 6700hq, gtx 960m is enough for 4k video editing
Own it, love it.
I have this laptop. It stinks. The hinge broke on its own, and it performs like shit.
Watching this in 2020 with a Dell Inspiron 7559
A true sleeper
i just bought one of these for 400 dollars so a friend can play some lighter games on it.
After 4 years of service, this device is still my best buy so far. To think that I can run Doom Eternal on low graphics with 45 to 60 fps is crazy!
I'm still a user of the Dell Inspiron 15 7559, who's still using it?😋
I have the i7 touchscreen version of this and it barely runs any games past 60 fps. Kinda sucks
Got the 4K touchscreen microsoft edition, still going strong.
There's an issue where the hinge kills itself and it's not covered under warranty so DON'T BUY THIS
Vid's old as hell, but when I try to plug in this laptop, it makes an electric chirping noise and doesn't receive power. This happened years ago and and JUST after the warranty expired so I've had this brick and since moved on. Since I'm heading into the military as an officer, I really don't want to lug my whole tower and monitor to my training base. I heard that the motherboard could be burnt out, but replacements for the damn thing are as much as a PS4 pro... but I already own the laptop so I'd like to have the thing fixed.
Great laptop for the price, and its upgradability has kept it going strong for my brother, whose has it as his daily driver!
Well my laptop(same as the one in the video) sounds like a legit jet engine
That laptop was about to fall
4 years later, still going strong!!
It's great and all but you must be careful with replacement chargers, I ended up with a 100W charger after the original 130W one broke. Performance was inhaled.
Gaming Laptop for Kids
It is shit it keeps shutting off randomly
I remember drooling over this laptop when I was younger 5 years ago. I wanted to start PC gaming for so long and felt like it was never gonna happen. Going from a cheap $200 laptop to now an rtx 2070 super and R5 3600 I can't believe I've come so far! Good memories :)
This is probably the only thing I own that I've seen on LTT haha
I regret getting this laptop so much... It had amazing specs for the time but gosh is it cheap... Hinges are breaking, subwoofer is nonfunctional, track pad is stuck, and it is slow (more due to Windows 10.
*This is a great laptop **く** I play flash-based games online and it can handle having three "accounts" open using three different browsers at once. Unlike my previous laptop, this one never gets hot. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The only negative I can think of is that one of the games that I play seems a lot darker than before when it's 'night' in the game. This is the only negative I have noticed after a couple of months of daily use and it's not really an issue.*
can it game fortnite well?
I recently bought one and I see that the monitor is warm and I would like to know if it is like that in an original way.
For those that have bought the laptop, should I get one in 2019? I mainly play Overwatch, Cod Bo3 and Warface but i will be going to university and i need some advice. Btw I've found the 4k and I7 6700hq model for around £540.
I've got one, i5 6300HQ and 960M 4G. I upgraded the RAM, 1TB m.2 SSD, upgraded the crappy Intel wifi for an Atheros based, dual chain AC card. The only issues I've had was one screw worked it's way out of the left side hinge, tightened it down and no more issues. Windows 10 has been a pain. The laptop itself is damn good. I was out on a tower site working on equipment from 3:30PM until 11PM without issue or a charger, around 20% battery when I left. Typically you don't see that much battery life out of it, probably closer to 6 hours on average, but my apps to manage the hardware are particularly light weight. System was idling with the screen on the lowest brightness setting. I've had it a few years now, very happy with my purchase.
It’s 2018 do you still recommend it?
I just purchased the core i7 6700hq version for my daughter. Great deal since the new version has just come out. She is complaining about the lag time. I'll be installing Adobe Photoshop. What is the maximum RAM and maximum SSD that I can add? Are the crucial and Samsung hardware ideal for this purpose? Is there a specific type of ram or SSD hardware that I should look for or avoid for this laptop?
I've owned this laptop for I believe a little over a couple years now. I've had no complaints but the battery is something to look out for... Not long battery life, it has to be plugged in. Also, being a heavy user myself, the battery is nearing the end of it's life cycle meaning a replacement might be needed in the future which is like $200.
Can you add a touch screen to it?
have this laptop :) its a beast with 16gb ram and ssd. Runs overwatch amazingly even at high :)
Hey Man!! Which laptop should i purchase? I want for light gaming , good performance , making animated videos, and should be easily portable..
I use this laptop but is laggy
this pc can run pubg at full medium settings 40fps on the exact specs after 2 years
The version with the i7 cpu is on sale right now on new egg for $699. Just got it and ordered a corsair 128 GB SSD and an extra crucial 8GB of ram
How well does it run world of Warcraft and overwatch
5:17 Uuuuhhhhh I got the top tier model and it can barely run OW on ultra *low* setting
"More affordable laptop" 799.99 it is 800$ and its "more affordable."
Where'd you get that coffee mug? It's very nice
Doesn't the i5 version have the 256GB M.2 SSD?
