I have this laptop for 4 years, I replaced HDD with SSD 512GB and replaced the cd drive with a caddy and inbuilt HDD. A few months ago I upgraded the ram from 8GB to 16GB. If you do this customization this laptop is super amazing no problems at all btw I am typing from Inspiron 5559 only!

I have this same US version 5559 it has a touch screen but is someone confusing because it has tablet mode but I can't get the screen to flip for tablet or as a tent display mode. Why would it have touchscreen with tablet mode but not be able to flip the screen
I bought one of these. The laptop said I needed another battery just after one year. I bought it from a discount store which added a second year warranty. They agreed that the battery needed to be replaced, but sent me an aftermarket battery instead of the Dell battery. It's been 3 years and that battery has been going strong. I added a 1TB SSD and it transformed the laptop. With my i7 processor, it has been everything I wanted. Now the only problem I have is an intermittent l display of colored verticle lines, kind of like when Netflix starts up a movie. So far it goes away. When I use an external monitor, I don't see the lines. The newer versions of my laptop don't seem to be as good. I'm not sure how to access the battery. It's not obvious. The light on the lower front edge that tells you it is charging, or, if you press Fn+h, it will show hard drive activity, is gone. Come on Dell!

typing this on this laptop, and i've gotta say it's more than lacking in many areas. the graphics when playing any sort of game is less than decent, though it can be worked with if you don't use computers just for gaming. if you do game, be ready for lag, freezing, and fast heat-up. i had to have a $200 hard drive installed into this a year after purchase because it'd constantly making whirring noises, slow down, freeze up, and some times not even start up at all. mind you i don't do as much on here as others. i have lots of software, but they are basic things like painting programs, one video editing program, and blender. for me it's just not enough. it's also not worth it if you're just buying it for internet surfing, student life, and the bare minimum one can use a computer for. buy a laptop less than $400 if that's what you're looking for. this laptop did hold out quite a while but overall it's just kind of in the gray area of what can be bought. it's not really quality, it's not really bad either. i'm not super satisfied with it.

Honestly this laptop has treated me well for nearly 2 years. My greatest issue, which happened a week ago was my charging cable stop working. I got a new one that arrived 2 days ago, and my computer runs just perfectly once again!

Cards with Amd don't work well in Pakistan and India Cuz of the climate . i'd recommend you all not to buy it . I had the full optional I7 6th gen touchscreen 16gb ram . Bought it box pack but after 6 or 7 months the laptop used to shut down automatically after 15 to 20m . Go for a Nvidia Low level laptop instead

I've been using this laptop for a year and it runs black ops 2 at 80-100 fps with normal settings. it also runs gta v on normal graphics at a solid 60 fps without overclocking or anything. Your's probably missing out the right radeon settings for performance or it needs to be updated. this laptop is Worth Buying guys! it can run almost any big game at a great fps by just lowering down the graphics settings a bit. this is based on my experience
