Hello so i own a Dell 7577 i5 with a 1060 max q configuration. To yall in the 2021 and how this laptop handle game in 2021. So just to let you guys know i replace thermal paste and clean the fan once every year. So when i first bought this laptop for the first 2 years, it can play any games fine. Overwatch, team fortress , league of legend , minecraft ( with a bunch of mods and shaders) easily. but starting from 2019 i noticed my laptop slowly heating up and throttle more on the game that i been playing for years on this laptop even though i clean the fan and change thermal paste already. If I play games like subnautica or battlefield V i have to change the graphic to the lowest to get at least a decent fps and with occasional stuttering. 2021 now is even worst. games like Hat in time, Ori and the will o wisp, temtem and genshin impact now i have to lower the graphic setting to the lowest with some additional detail turn off like shadow to make the game playable. This laptop was a monster back when it first came out. You can throw any game at it and it will handle like a beast. But 2021, a I5 and 1060 max q is slacking. I Would definitely recommend another gaming laptop that around 999$. there are a lot fo them out there even some are cheaper with better configuration. If you still decide to buy this laptop in 2021 just know that the laptop will get crazy hot playing any triple A games, where the area of the cpu and gpu can get too hot and occasional stutter. Also buy another 8gb of ram cuz you will definitely need it for this laptop. Thank you for reading this far.

I have this laptop for 2 years now. It has incredible specs for the price but i had a really bad experiencie:The battery was dead in 1 year.Half of the keyboard doesn't work (and i actually used an externeal keyboard since de day one for the 95% of my usage)One of the fans does a REALLY loud noise.

Hi Jarrod, I know it's a bit outdated laptop to buy now. But I am getting this in a deal for nearly 700$. I am not a gamer and I am a content creator.. is it worth buying this laptop for my purpose for $700? I know you already said in your review that this laptop is little bit lower side for content creator. But the model which I am looking has upgraded the display from its default config to a higher 120hz refresh rate and better color reproduction (99.8% sRGB and 78% Adobe RGB). Also the ram is upgraded to 32gb. All this upgrades I am getting for $700. Can you please let me know is it worth buying now or does it have any alternative?

I have a Dell 7577 and some of the keys on the keyboard don't work properly. I need to press the keys hard to get them working. And they magically work normally sometimes(I don't need to press hard).I tried plugging in an external keyboard and it did work. Also I noticed that the screen gives some sporadic flashes. And it goes away when I turn of the screen and turn it back on. I'm guessing it's the motherboard issue. Help.

I have Same laptop Mam. But I broke display and Buy New one Asus F571gt vivobook gaming 8gb ram 15.6 inch 1tb hdd and SSD storage also available but they not added because of warranty void i5. My dell is i7. I think My Dell is best than Asus. Because I think I missed badly Dell
8GB of ram seems to be more than enough for games lnfo.help/dell-Inspiron? like PUBG and TC's Rainbow Six Siege and it is definitely upgradable. On the subject of upgradeability, it is very easy to access the internals of this machine, with the entire back plate coming off with only one screw.

I have been using this computer for about a month now and it works decently well, yet I have found that its CPU isn't performing nearly as well as it does in this video. I find that with gaming, it almost always caps and overclocks. I think this is something on my end, however, and really want to fix it. The day I got the laptop it worked much better, so if anyone has any fixes, I would love them.

This laptop must be created by idiots. Heavy throttling problems with the gpu. Even old games are unplayable without putting a big fan under the laptop. Then i have problems with the speaker-port. External speakers aren't working all time. Dell support ist SHIT. The don't write me back

Title is valid. This is my 2nd 7577 w/ i7 UHD 4k display. First one corrupted every single file after a windows update at 1 week old. Returned to Amazon for a new one and 1 week after the warranty expired literally half of the keyboard stopped working. There are videos on how to replace it which is very difficult due to the fact that the keyboard is BEHIND the motherboard. One year after the warranty expired the touch pad (described in this video as bad) no longer clicks. Three years after the purchase the laptop updated once again and now suddenly freezes after 15 minutes of use. (All troubleshooting steps, even advanced ones find nothing). The issue is unrelated to Windows as someone with a linux based operating system is having the same exact issue.)Look up "7577 crash" on google and you'll see ZERO support from dell whatsoever with many people reporting the same problems.This laptop has very good specs for gaming and I really love that, but the crashing and lack of Dell support is a nightmare.This laptop is listed at $1,500 today on Amazon.

This laptop has a lot of audio stutters and thermal issues. I do not think the paste is a good quality paste and runs hot after a year. So needs to be re-pasted and then should work better. Just use a mouse for gaming which is what everyone does anyway
I don't have the clicking issue. If you replace HDD with SSD you will get almost 1h of extra battery life. The title of this clip sucks.
I've had this exact model for nearly 2 years and don't have your issues. Trackpad works fine on my lap or anywhere. You bought used, I bought new. Mine doesn't bend. Battery life is reasonable for a gaming machine. My only minor complaint is that the shiny surface wore down where I lay my wrists near the trackpad. Just wear and tear. Pro repair tech here. This is a "decent" budget gaming laptop. Definitely heavy, but that's expected for a gaming laptop. It sounds like you bought something inappropriate for your specific needs, tbh.
This computer is bad. I promise you. After a year or 2, this computer will start heating up. My personal one started to heat up to 200 F.
This is actually a really good laptop, better then quite a few i've seen, saying don't buy it, is not fair at all tbh. The camera is shit, and the sound on it is not great, but the cooling and noise is impressive for this price point, and it runs games well and has a good IPS screen on it. Which is all I care for, since I can use headphones anyway for the audio issue's.

I've been using this laptop for 3 years now ... It's perfect ... Only had to reapply thermal paste once after it fell from a 6 inch height when someone tried to rob me the CPU and the body remained perfect l perfect only screen got damaged the rest of the body remained solid . I noticed hot temperatures but not over heating after that incident so I reapplied thermal paste after 3 years. You cannot fault this build quality except you're throwing it from large heights (which actually happened to me and the body is still perfect ) it might not be razer unibody design but it's far above its paygrade for build

I have the 4K version. Never use it on my lap, cause it will block the bottom fan ventilation. Never have the trackpad issue. I do have an issue with the left shift key though. Perhaps you should check the battery...maybe the old thing expands and presses the trackpad a little bit from underneath...
I've used this laptop with a drawing tablet and second monitor for years. And it's amazing. I do agree the battery lacks, but that's the only main issue. I've never experienced trackpad issues, and when I was buying it I didn't see and reviews detailing your problems. Also please stop with the clickbait. It wasn't for you, because you werent really using it for it's intended purpose. Which is on desk gaming. You are judging it on its secondary purpose
